Faringdon Grange Reviews

"We really enjoyed our short stay and honestly, we wish we had more time! The lodge was super cosy, spotlessly clean and those little extras like the fizz in the fridge and cosy blankets made all the difference. Definitely planning to return soon!"
Harper - Mar 2025
"Really impressed with the lodge, it's huge and spotless! Bedrooms are a perfect size."
George - Mar 2025
"The kitchen could definitely do with a bit more storage space for food. The pans and plates are quite small."
Emma Clarke - Feb 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay here, the lodge was super comfy and peaceful. Just wish the water pressure was a bit stronger and some heating instructions would help. Still lovely!"
Emily Carter - Dec 2024
"Our Faringdon Grange review: Really enjoyed our stay here, honestly."
Emma S. - Oct 2024

David - May 2024
"We absolutely loved the lodge! Spacious, well-equipped and the hot tub was the cherry on top! Brilliant stay."
Oliver - Apr 2024
"We stayed at this lovely lodge recently and really appreciated how straightforward the check-in was. The decor was refreshingly minimal, no clutter or cheesy pictures, which we loved. The furniture felt solid and comfortable and the underfloor heating in the bathrooms was a real treat. Spacious and well-equipped, definitely a place we'd return to!"
Emma Carter - Mar 2024
"We had a fantastic stay at this cosy lodge! Its perfect for dogs and has all the essentials, including a hot tub. Just a heads up if you have little ones-the seating area has a big drop without rails, so watch them closely."
Amelia - Mar 2024
"Great spot for a memorable family celebration, we really enjoyed it here."
Emma - Jan 2024
"We spent New Year here and honestly, it was just what we needed. The lodge is beautifully decorated with lovely fixtures and fittings, really cosy. The only hiccup was trying to get the towel rails to work in two bedrooms, but no luck there. The main thing that bugged us was the lack of privacy since you can see into the neighbouring lodge and vice versa-some privacy screens would make a big difference. But overall, wed definitely recommend it and are sure well return!"
Emily - Jan 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was super cosy, beds were comfy and the staff were lovely."
Emma - Nov 2023
"The lodges decor was stunning and cosy, with thoughtful little extras that made our stay really special. Highly recommend it!"
Emma Clarke - Nov 2023
"Really enjoyed the stay here! The surroundings are lovely and peaceful. Its a shame theres no wheelchair access throughout the whole place, that would have made it perfect for everyone."
Alex - Jul 2023
"We loved this cosy cottage, perfect for some peace and quiet. The hot tub was a real treat and the owners were friendly without being intrusive at all."
James - May 2025
"We had a fantastic stay at this cosy cottage! The place is super well kept and fully equipped, making it feel like a home away from home. Loads of lovely dog walks right outside and the host was really friendly and quick to respond. Meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a real highlight. Well definitely return - such good value!"
Emma - May 2025
"Loved the place-super clean, really cosy and everything we needed was there. The hot tub was a real highlight!"
Emma - May 2025
"We stayed at this lovely cottage recently and honestly, the owners are so friendly and thoughtful - they made us feel really welcome. The place itself is adorable, with that charming half-timbered look and the shower is surprisingly powerful! Its super cosy inside, with a warm, well-kept kitchen and comfy bed. Parking right next to the cottage is a real bonus. Perfect base for walks to Thaxted and exploring nearby villages. Wed definitely come back!"
Oliver - May 2025
"We had a fantastic time! Sharon and Robert really went out of their way to make us feel at home, which we appreciated. The place was spotlessly clean, comfy and secure for our dog Archie - he loved it. The location was just perfect, with so many lovely walks and charming villages nearby like Thaxted. Honestly, we left feeling totally recharged and relaxed. Definitely a place wed return to!"
Emma - May 2025
"We stayed here for a week in July with our two tiny dachshunds and it was a lovely experience. The cottage itself is charming and the hot tub was a real treat, especially during the hot weather when the water was just the right temperature. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and it was nice to see their dogs being taken out to the fields every day. Being close to Stansted meant we often watched planes land, which was quite interesting. All in all, wed definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway."
Emma - May 2025
"The place is really nice, super peaceful and perfect for dogs with the enclosed garden. Lovely stay!"

Attractions Near Faringdon Grange

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Faringdon Grange. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Farmer Gows - SN7 8DA
about 1 Mile
Farmer Gows is a recommended attraction in the Faringdon area of Oxfordshire and will be especially suited to families with young children.  The little ones will love coming to see the farm animals including pigs, cows and lambs.  The meet the animals session takes place every day and includes handling the animals, walking the goats, feeding the pigs and cows and egg collecting.  Look out for special seasonal events throughout the year such as the Halloween Party, Lambing and children's workshops.  The latest news from the farm is that they have some Saddleback piglets and Speckledy chicks arriving shortly.
Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens - OX18 4JP
about 9 Miles
This has to be one of the most popular days out in Oxfordshire and is sure to appeal to nature lovers, animal lovers and keen gardeners.  Families and couples will enjoy wandering around this amazing park with a wide variety of mammals and birds to see as well as reptiles. Some of the most popular animals are the Burrowing Owl, Dexter Cow, African Pancake Tortoise and the Bar Headed Goose.  Check out their website for the latest admission costs and special offers.
Studley Grange Garden and Leisure Park - SN4 9QT
about 12 Miles
Studley Grange Garden and Leisure Park is a fantastic attraction based in Swindon, Wiltshire.  For nature lovers and those who like to get out and explore this is the perfect day out.  It's also an all weather attraction with Butterfly World being part of the site.  Butterfly World is kept at around 85 degrees year round so this makes a perfect place to visit in all seasons. A visit to the Craft Village is also recommended where there are a wide range of handcrafted gifts.
Pendon Indoor Model Village and Railways - OX12 8EA
about 16 Miles
This is an all weather attraction in Abingdon, Oxfordshire which will appeal to all ages.  The model trains are fascinating to watch and we love the model village in the Vale Scene.  The exhibits have been well thought out and it's a pleasure to wander around this museum looking at everything on offer.  You can be assured of a warm welcome from the moment you arrive and for kids and adults alike this makes a fun and educational day out.
Avon Leisure Cruises - BS8 4EB
about 36 Miles
Avon Leisure Cruises offer a relaxing way to spend an afternoon exploring the beautiful river and the sites all around it. The trips have commentary to point out places of historical importance and interest and are educational as well as fun. During school holidays the area is very popular with tourists and with families and daily activities can be enjoyed.
Catanger Llama Trekking - NN12 8LJ
about 39 Miles
This is a really unique attraction and certainly worth a visit in our opinion.  Established in 1995 and situated in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside this attraction will appeal to those looking for something a little different.  You can't ride the animals but you can trek alongside them and enjoy the fantastic scenery.  From farm tracks to country lanes the gentle animals will carry your rucksack for you along the way.  There are personally guided treks available all year round and you will have your own Llama for the trek.
