When the British weather inevitably does its thing, that heated indoor pool can make or break a family holiday. Thankfully, all 38 of Haven’s holiday parks come with heated indoor pools as standard (plus a ton of other cool stuff to do when it’s raining…)
Here are some of our favourites available to book for 2026 – from Scotland’s largest indoor water park to a £6.5 million pool complex on the Norfolk coast!
Whether your thing is adrenaline-pumping flumes, gentle lazy rivers, or just a warm pool where the little ones can splash safely, hopefully you’ll find it here!
1. Berwick Holiday Park

The water chute keeps children entertained for hours while the outdoor pool offers top North Sea views from the terrace.
Pool booking tips for Berwick:

2. Devon Cliffs Holiday Park
Best for: Families looking for a large multi-pool complex
If variety is what you’re after, Devon Cliffs has a lot to offer. This 5-star flagship Haven park doesn’t just have one pool – it has a connected indoor and outdoor complex where families can race down waterslides, zoom around on motorised inflatables!
You’ll still find space for proper swimming.
Swimming facilities at Devon Cliffs:
- Large heated indoor pool with flume and water play area
- Multi-lane 19-metre waterslide (race your family!)
- Heated outdoor multi-level pool and patio complex
- Outdoor waterslide with tower flume featuring 4 slides

What makes Devon Cliffs pool special:
The 19-metre multi-lane waterslide is the headline attraction – it’s long enough to build serious speed and wide enough for some family races. But the real magic is in how the indoor and outdoor areas connect. On warm days, you can splash between both without getting cold.
The outdoor complex features tropical-style decor, sun loungers and that multi-level design that keeps things interesting.
Practical pool information:
- Indoor pool open year-round
- Outdoor pool and SplashZone open May Half Term to September 1st
- AquaJets sessions can be booked for 30 minutes
- Family changing cubicles available (unisex)

Devon Cliffs is the top choice for families who want pool variety and the option to add water activities beyond standard swimming. The Blue Flag beach below the park means you can combine pool time with proper seaside swimming too.

3. Craig Tara Holiday Park
Scotland’s Biggest Water Park
Craig Tara houses Scotland’s largest indoor water park. Splashaway Bay isn’t just a pool with a slide bolted on – it’s a genuine multi-level water park experience that keeps getting better. Haven added a new flume with colour-changing lights in 2022, then in 2023 installed another with three crystal-clear sections so spectators can watch you zooming past mid-slide.
Splashaway Bay features:
- Multi-level indoor water park complex
- Two headline flumes (one interactive with speed timer, one with transparent sections)
- Multi-lane racer slide for competitive families
- Lazy river that loops through the building
- Giant tipping water bucket
- Noodle Falls rapids
- Tots pool for babies and toddlers
- Deeper pool for lengths and proper swimming
- Wave machine
- Jacuzzi/bubble pool areas
Height requirements at Craig Tara:
- Multi-lane slide: 1 metre minimum
- Flumes: 1.2 metres minimum
- Noodle Falls rapids: 1.4 metres minimum
- Tots pool: No height requirement
- Main pool areas: Suitable for all ages with supervision
Why Craig Tara wins for water parks:
The lazy river alone sets Splashaway Bay apart – it’s a genuine loop that lets you float gently through the complex while more adventurous family members tackle the flumes. The interactive timed flume appeals to competitive kids (and adults) who want to beat their previous speed record. And the transparent sections on the newer flume? Pure theatre for the spectators below.
Accessibility at Splashaway Bay:
- Wheelchair-friendly routes throughout
- Accessible for guests with reduced mobility
- Family and accessible changing facilities
- Nearby disabled parking bays

Craig Tara is the choice for families who want genuine water park thrills rather than just a pool with extras. The Scottish weather makes indoor facilities essential – and Splashaway Bay delivers regardless of what’s happening outside.

4. Hafan y Môr Holiday Park – Best for: Wave Pool Experience
The name means “Sea Haven” in Welsh and the Splashaway Bay here lives up to it. What sets Hafan y Môr apart is the combination of a zero-entry wave pool, three massive flumes and a four-person racer slide – all housed in a building that cost £3 million to refurbish. Families describe it simply as the best Haven pool they’ve found.
Splashaway Bay at Hafan y Môr includes:
- Zero-entry wave pool with sprinklers and waterfall
- Three huge flumes
- Four-lane racer slide (fast!)
- Large bubble pool/hot tub
- Lazy river with in-water seating
- Additional pool with waterfall and fish sprinklers
- Giant elevated water bucket (dumps every few minutes)
- Water sprinkling mushroom feature
- Dedicated toddler pool with tiny slide
- Lanes for proper swimming
What families say about Hafan y Môr’s pool:
- Warm water temperatures throughout
- Light and airy building design
- Fun “penguins at the seaside” theme that kids love
- Well-maintained facilities
- Off-peak visits mean shorter queues (60 seconds max for slides)
- Plenty of changing facilities (though busy at session end)
Pool activities at Hafan y Môr (additional charge):
- Pool inflatables
- Pool pedalos
- Water walkers
- Rapids sessions
Important note: The pool will be closed for renovation from early January until 5 June 2026. If you’re booking for spring 2026, be aware the swimming facilities won’t be available until summer.

Why the wave pool matters:
The zero-entry design means toddlers and nervous swimmers can wade in gradually – no sudden drops into deep water. The waves add genuine excitement without being overwhelming and the sprinklers at the edge keep children entertained even if they’re not confident enough for the deeper sections.
Hafan y Môr is ideal for mixed-age families where toddlers need gentle wading space while older children want flumes and waves. The lazy river with actual seating areas means parents can relax while keeping everyone in view.

5. Seashore Holiday Park – Best for: Brand New Thrill Flumes
When Haven invested £6.5 million transforming Seashore’s pool in 2019, they didn’t hold back. The Shore Water Park features something genuinely unique: the UK’s first double enclosed constrictor slides. These aren’t your typical flumes – Tidal Twist and Coastal Cyclone stand 11 metres high and use tyre tubes that twist dramatically through enclosed tunnels before dumping you into the pool below.
Shore Water Park features:
- Tidal Twist – 11-metre enclosed flume (gentler ride, blue slide)
- Coastal Cyclone – 11-metre enclosed flume (faster, goes up the sides, green slide)
- Four-lane water slide with illuminated water
- Main pool (1.2 metres deep throughout)
- Giant tipping water bucket
- Multiple smaller slides and splash features
- Wide slide where parents can go down alongside children
- Dedicated toddler pool with interactive play space
- SplashZone with two short enclosed flume slides for younger children
- Onsite Activity Cam to capture your flume ride
Flume facts at Seashore:
- Height requirement: 1.2 metres minimum for Tidal Twist and Coastal Cyclone
- Single or double tubes available (go down with a partner)
- Tidal Twist is gentler; Coastal Cyclone is faster with more banking
- Both flumes are surprisingly long
- Blue slide often has shorter queues (most people want the green)
- Park manager compares flume quality to Legoland Dubai
What makes Shore Water Park different:
The 1.2-metre consistent depth throughout the main pool means children aged 8 and over can typically stand up everywhere – reducing anxiety for parents and giving older kids independence. The four-lane slide with illuminated water adds a unique visual element and the Activity Cam lets you capture memories of your flume descent.
Important to know:
- No outdoor pool at Seashore – it’s all indoors
- Swimming slots are extremely popular (book 4 weeks ahead)
- Pool ratio: maximum 2 under-8s per adult
- Under-8s wear wristbands and must be accompanied at all times
- Plenty packed into the space for a 60-minute session

Seashore is the choice for thrill-seeking families who want state-of-the-art flumes. The £6.5 million investment shows and the UK-first constrictor slides deliver genuine excitement for older children and brave adults.
