"We stayed during half term and honestly, the entertainment was a letdown. Only bingo one night-nothing else for the kids, even though it was advertised. The restaurant was closed Monday to Wednesday, which was a bit annoying. Staff didnt seem very friendly or helpful either. The caravan was a bit chilly and the heating wasnt great, but it was clean and spacious. The park was good for the kids. If you just want to relax and do nothing, its okay, I suppose."

"We had a lovely stay at the caravan site; it was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed. The campsite itself was beautifully maintained, which made our trip even more enjoyable. The only thing that let us down a bit was the gym-its only for over 18s and we had two 17-year-olds with us, so that was a bit frustrating. Also, there were no arcades or evening activities for teenagers, which would have been a nice addition. Overall, a pleasant experience though!"

"Honestly, we were pretty disappointed. The caravan looked nothing like the pictures-really basic and not at all luxurious. The kitchen was poorly equipped and the shower was subpar. One of the beds was even broken, which was a real letdown."

"We stayed at the park recently and honestly, it was a bit of a mixed bag. The caravan had quite a few issues that werent all sorted out during our stay. For starters, there was no welcome pack or clear instructions for the central heating, which was turned off and a bit confusing. The kitchen supplies were pretty limited at first, though they did bring more utensils later. The bathroom basin had a big crack in it, which wasnt fixed and the towel rail kept falling off, even after we reported it. The smoke alarm cover was hanging off and on our last day, we noticed it had no batteries - I also mentioned this along with the remote control batteries, but nothing was done about either. Getting onto the park was a pain because our car registration wasnt recognised, so we had to use a code. We did have a couple of meals at the restaurant; the chicken was alright but the sticky toffee puddings, which cost nearly £7 with custard, tasted terrible, so we got a full refund. Definitely wouldnt come back here."

"We had a lovely stay at Riverside Holiday Park, especially with our little one. Its really child-friendly and the splash park was a hit. The free kids' meal with every adult meal was such a great deal and the food was good value. Only downside was the beds-pretty thin and not the most comfy. Otherwise, everything was spot on!"

"We loved our stay overall, but it wouldve been nice if there were some indoor activities for rainy days-like soft play or amusements for kids and adults. The caravan was gorgeous, though were glad we brought our own stuff since nothing was supplied apart from bedding. Also, the grill pan was a bit dirty and there were leftover dishes in the dishwasher. Still, a good break!"

"We had a lovely time at the park! The staff were mostly really friendly, though one guy-probably the manager-was quite rude and lacked patience. We tried to exchange a toy from the bar that stopped working almost immediately and he was pretty patronising about it. Aside from that, the place was fantastic and the accommodation in Hive was just right for us."

"We recently spent a lovely long weekend in one of the glamping pods. It was spotlessly clean and had all the essentials we could ask for. The staff behind the bar were genuinely friendly and the ladies serving food were fantastic. The only downside was our 16-year-old couldnt access the gym, which was a bit of a letdown."

"We chose the hive on 7/10 because the steps looked a bit unsafe, especially with that loose handrail. Also, no gate on the veranda meant we had to keep our dogs on leads with doors open, which was a bit of a pain."

"The caravan was really comfortable and clean, which we appreciated. Sadly, the park itself was a bit dull, with no entertainment and limited activities. The cafe opening late was frustrating and there was no cleaning gear or toilet rolls. Not quite what we expected!"

"We stayed from 18-25 of July Reception staff are lovely and so helpful both at gym and the bar and restaurant. Wee shop is handy for boys you have forgotten to take. Our caravan was lovely and clean and had all the essential utensils we needed. So much to do in area we went to hesketh park and enjoyed folks in the park. Ainsde beach is 13 mins away. Went to Vue to cinema and it’s 4.99 for a movie which is cheap if your having to buy for a big family. We definitely go back ??"

"loved the 3 bedroom van, it was very new, well equipped and clean. Our grandchildren liked the pool and football area. The food in the pub was excellent. It was a good base for visiting southport. I would use it again and recommend it to friends."
