Shire Cottage Reviews

Oliver - Sep 2024
The cottage was super cosy and beautifully decorated, with everything we could possibly need-plus some nice little extras like fresh scones, clotted cream, jamand a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us. The outside courtyard with the hot tub was perfect for relaxing. The place was spotlessand we loved the thoughtful touches like the boot room and dog washing facilities. Honestly, one of the best cottages we've ever stayed in!
James - Jul 2024
We absolutely loved this place! The location is stunning and super peaceful. The hosts really went above and beyond, making sure everything was perfect, including dog-friendly touches and treats for Buddy. The cottage felt warm and cosy from the moment we arrived, beautifully decorated and really relaxing. It's definitely a good place-we'll be coming back for sure, especially since it was our honeymoon. Truly memorable stay!
Mark - Jul 2024
Great selection, helpful staff, loved it!
Emma Clarke - Apr 2024
We had a lovely time here! The cottage is charming and well-equipped, with little touches like dressing gowns for the hot tub. It's a perfect spot for exploring-walking along the Solent Way to Hurst Castle was fantasticand we loved the food at the nearby pub, The New Queen. Lepe Beach and its cafe are also worth a visit. We'd definitely recommend this place for a relaxing break!
Sam - Apr 2024
We booked this place for our mini-moon after tying the knot at Sopley Mill. Despite the horrible weather, we felt right at home thanks to the lovely decor and cosy atmosphere. The hot tub was a real highlightand the owners made us feel really welcome. The place felt secure and well-equipped. We'd definitely come back - it's a good place!
George - Mar 2024
We booked a spontaneous getaway and managed to snag the last cottage available on the site. It's right next door to another one, which works fine if your neighbours are respectful - ours weren't quite so considerate, making it tricky to enjoy the hot tub peacefully. Next time, we'd definitely opt for a detached place. The cottage itself was cosy, very tidyand had all the essentials sorted - the owners really thought of everything. Thanks for the lovely gifts, Hide. We'll be back!
Emily - Mar 2024
We had a fantastic time! Right from the start, there was a lovely touch with cake and a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us. The boot room is really handy, packed with useful stuff. The forget-me-not basket and dog treats made us feel so welcomeand the walk book was super helpful. Honestly, we'd definitely stay again - it's a gem and highly recommended! We'll be back for sure.
Alex - Feb 2024
Really enjoyed our stay here! The location was perfectand the garden was a huge bonus for our dogs. The hot tub and courtyard made relaxing after a day of exploring so much better. Definitely a place we'd return to. Lovely place overall!
Emma - Dec 2023
We had an amazing stay! The cosy atmosphere and thoughtful touches made it feel just like home. Can't wait to visit again soon, really loved it!

Open year round we think this is one of best attractions in Dorset and you even get the chance to adopt a monkey if you choose.
