"We had a really lovely stay at this charming place, tucked away in such a peaceful spot. The owners were super friendly and always willing to help if needed, but it still felt private and quiet. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day of cycling, honestly! One thing to note is that the cottage is pretty much under the flight path for Stansted, so theres quite a bit of noise from the planes. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but it didnt ruin our holiday at all. Overall, wed definitely come back!"

"We had a lovely stay at this cosy cottage tucked away on a working farm, yet it feels incredibly private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely charming and welcoming. The place itself is surprisingly spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that made nights really restful. The garden is perfect for dogs-completely secluded and nicely furnished. We enjoyed exploring the local walks and tried some great restaurants in Thaxted like The Star and The Maypole. Overall, wed definitely recommend it!"

The hot tub was a real treat after a long day cycling around the area. Just a heads up, its right under the flight path at Stansted, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much after a while, but might be worth considering if youre sensitive to noise. All in all, a great place to relax!"

"We had a pretty good time overall. The food at the bar and restaurant was spot on, no complaints there. The outdoor pool was lovely, perfect for relaxing, though we skipped the indoor one since its more for kids. The arcade? Could do with some TLC - quite a few games were broken or really outdated, which was a bit disappointing. Parking next to the caravans isnt allowed, but no biggie since the overflow lot is just a couple of minutes walk. The shower was powerful and hot, beds were comfy enough. The caravan was okay for the week, but the Wi-Fi was pretty rubbish everywhere - really needed better coverage. We didnt bother with the park broadband, felt it should be included anyway. All in all, decent stay!"

"We stayed at this place during a rainy December and honestly, the house was perfect-warm, cosy and well-equipped. The bath was just lovely and the shower was nice and spacious. The location is really peaceful, perfect for dogs that hate fireworks since it's quite remote. The only thing to note is its on a flight path, but it didnt bother us at all. Thanks a lot!"

The whole place, including our caravan, was kept incredibly clean - you could tell the staff take pride in their work. Everyone we met was friendly and professional, making us feel welcome from the start. The caravan had everything we needed and was spotless, which was great especially considering all the COVID-19 precautions. Were definitely planning to come back and will be recommending it to friends!"

"We had a lovely holiday. The lodge was spacious and very clean and we had a great position in the woodlands.
The indoor pool was good and my children loved the slide, however the outdoor pool was very crowded and people were jumping in on top of you and there were also a lot of ball throwing and inflatables.
The shop was good and the ladies who worked in there were very nice and friendly.
We would definitely come back here. Overall the site and facilities were excellent. The only downside was not being able to walk anywhere off site, but everything was only a short drive away. There were also 2 supermarkets very close by which was very convenient for self catering."
