"A little tired and could have been cleaner"

"We checked in just before 4pm, check in staff were lovely and helpful. Bar area very reasonably priced. We drove to our lodge and had a look round, tv unit thick of dust, the lodge needs lots of tlc. Vinyl wrapping peeling off cupboard doors and doors not on the hinges properly. Blinds full of dust. Previous peoples shopping in freezer. Its clear that cleaning staff are not doing a thorough job and maintenance need to fix issues in the lodge. Hot tub, decking and view are amazing. Ive noticed that next year is a ridiculous amount for peak season, I would not pay that and would be disappointed, would return if lodges are updated to match the big prices."

"The lodge itself is in a perfect setting but needs some minor repairs in some areas due to the volume of usage. It doesn't detract from a wonderful stay at a great location"

"Broken dishwasher door, en suite shower was filthy, needed to dust and clean on arrival. Old vape liquid under kids beds. Picture fell off wall in kids room."

"Our Woodside Coastal Retreat review: We were a three-generational family of four. We all enjoyed the accommodation and surroundings. Anything we needed was available. A little disappointed with the beach but that didnt matter. Wi-fi went off after a storm but it was fixed fairly quickly."

"Lodge itself was ok, however we were unable to open balcony doors due to lost keys by previous tenants. Even though it was reported and checked by nice handyman nothing was done and we couldnt use our lodge as we would like to. Not sure why but even though bedding looked fresh, there was a sand in there. Overall we are really happy and happy to come back next year, hopefully to better and cleaner lodge."

"The lodge only had small sofas for 8 people was not ever going to work . Friday again for 8 again was far too small . Dining seating not the most comfortable . Part from that was nice"

"Premier is not a word I would associate with this lodge. Good points - hot tub clean - applicancesOther points - lodge dusty - dirty mug - duster/cloth found between bed and bedside unit - lack of cutlery 5 of most things but only 3 teaspoons - crockery not a set, 1 x coffee cup, 3 x teacups, mix of plates & bowls - lack of space in living area - need to move sofa so could sit at table - outside need to remove stinging nettles etc"

"Accommodation was clean throughout, with comfortable beds. Hot tub was a plus, however not all jets were working, but still good to dip into after a day's out sightseeing. Very quiet location with a slightly restricted view of the solent, however suited our needs for the week."

"Very lovely cozy lodge with fab hot tub. We enjoyed walks to the sea in close distance. It was smaller than the previous premiere lodge we stayed in but we woukd defo return!"

"We had a rickety dining chair which was reported to reception. This did not affect us directly as there were only two of us. More attention to the cleaning regime required and a lick of paint would not go amiss."

"Lodge seemed a little tired. Only half of the hot tub worked (two opposite corners) so couldn't really enjoy as a family, staff failed to repair it despite admitting it was faulty and no communication without having to chase for update. One bedroom dirty with empty bottles and most of pack of peanut M&Ms all left scattered under a bed. Location in woodlands still makes for lovely location and good views."

"The place was clean and comfy with everything we needed. You had a lovely short walk to the facilities of the cafe and gym. The staff were very helpful and lovely. The place was dog friendly which made it very nice for all of us."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Woodside Coastal Retreat and plan to return. The lodge was lovey and spacious. The beds were very comfortable. There is only 1 parking space per lodge, which wasnt ideal with us travelling with grandparents and 2 cars. However we were lucky to alway manage to get a visitors space. My only real complaint was that the lodge had a bad smell on arrival (which with a days airing and some airfreshers it went), and it was grubby, I gave it a good clean and wipe down on arrival. I don't feel it has had a good deep clean for a while, we found empty vapes, confetti and make up containers under beds, grape stalks in the living room light shade, a decent layer of dust on fire and tv and food splatters on the walls and surfaces. Once we had cleaned this all down we were happy with the accomodation.The furniture was well used, and could do with another kick of paint."

"As said, needs updating. The coverings were coming away from the cupboard doors, lots of cobwebs, bed frame thick with dust and bathroom floor not clean."

"We had a lovely stay, with breathtaking views and a super relaxing hot tub. The lodge was spacious, well-equipped and perfect for chilling out. A few things could be improved - the kettle was pretty scaley and the toilet roll holders felt a bit loose. Also, the beds end posts were missing their tops, which was a bit odd. Still, overall, a nice place to unwind!"

"We had a pretty decent time at The Lodge, though a few things could be better. The seating is a bit limited-just two settees for four bedrooms-so dont expect comfy spots for everyone if you're a bigger group. The kettle could do with a descale, but the beds were super comfy, even if one squeaked a bit when you moved. Overall, a good stay!"

"We booked just a few weeks before we went on holiday here and the price was very good. Excellent location, beautiful views, very friendly and helpful reception staff. We didn’t get chance to use the restaurant but the bar and staff are great."
