Mullion Cove Coastal Retreat Reviews

"Iv been coming here for years but after my last visit I think its time to look somewhere else. When we got there the bathroom was full of black mould and the toilet wasnt screwed down and almost fell over we did report this and to their credit someone was straight up to fix the toilet and the mould was cleaned the next day. The reason I wouldnt come back is it just looking a bit old and run down its in need of a good facelift, mould on the curtains and lot of rust and dirt, the wood in the bathrooms are rotting, we had 3 missing jets in our hot tub and a couple more kept falling out. This has been a really nice getaway in the past but just needs a bit of tlc on the small details."
Craig - Nov 2024
"This was our 3rd year in a row staying in Mullion Cove Coastal retreat , we have had another lovely week break and really cant complain about anything. The staff were more than helpful and even let us hire the luxury bathrobes free of charge as it I was our wedding anniversary. The lodge was as always comfortable and clean and everything you need for your stay. Hot tub well maintained and checked everyday. If I have anything to say about the lodge .. is the bed .. as we stay in the same lodge every year and I say it every year the bed is soooo squeaky!!! It definitely needs replacing !!"
Pete - Nov 2024
"A great lodge with everything you can ever need. Table and chairs for outside eating and a fabulous hot jacuzzi."
Stephen - Nov 2024
"Overall a lovely park and location. Hot tub made the short break . An issue with the WiFi caused a little stress with no WiFi for more than 48 hrs and no phone signal. No reception staff.Would rebook again for a pleasant winter break."

"The lodge was lovely and spacious. The living and dining area was light and airy. All the bedrooms had very comfortable beds and everywhere was clean and well looked after. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed and more. We were really pleased with all the touches like the bag of washing bits, tea and coffee etc."

"A lovely and comfortable lodge. Clean and tidy throughout. Could do with a little touch up here and there but nothing major."
Verified Guest - Oct 2024
"Really enjoyed our time. Hot tub was great and well worth it.In general Everything was great, and the lodge was clean, tidy and very well equipped with everything you need. Some constructive feedback would be that the shower in our lodge needs some attention, particularly mould and limescale build up that would benefit from treating, But that was the only thing. Will very likely return!"
Richard - Oct 2024
"Good and clean good hot tub"
Carole - Oct 2024
"We enjoyed our holiday very much. Will return soon."
Mahendra - Oct 2024
"We booked here on the recommendation of friends that visited last year. The lodges are perfect as a base for travelling around this area of Cornwall. They are located in a quiet area but one that is accessible to the delights of Cornwall.Although self catering we only did breakfasts. There are many excellent pubs around. The lodge was clean and tidy and provided everything that we might need on our stay (3 nights). The only obsevation - my partner said that the windows could do with a clean. This would not stop us coming to these lodges again. Overall they were perfect!"
Steve - Oct 2024
"Everything is like new .. clean tidy ????"
Victoria - Oct 2024
"Went here for my 50th birthday with some women friends for a retreat. Loved going for walks and visits to the stunning Cornish coastline. Then coming home, cooking and relaxing in the hot tub."
Maren - Sep 2024
"The positive things first: a fantastic large lodge with ample space everywhere. The hot tub was huge and in good working order. Location was great, a little walk to the cove to watch the sunsets or to walk along the coastal path. Plenty of glasses for larger parties. Our lodge could do with an update on certain things. Only one patio door would open, the other was stuck shut..very rusty...reported this and they said its on their list to fix, a little disappointing that we werent told about it on arrival. Tv was very frustrating to operate and to find decent channels, a smart tv would be very handy. A tv in each bedroom, but a curtain rail was in front and nearly through the screen in one room? No way of opening the two velux windows we had, saw other lodges with theirs open? We had to ask for a frying pan, which was delivered later that day."
Kevin - Sep 2024
"The accommodation was excellent and in a great location. It was perfect and we didnt want to leave."
Catherine - Sep 2024
"Lovely setting, lodge needs a refresh/update."

"Could be better if The bathrooms were updated."

"We stayed in a Marconi premier lodge. It was well equipped with all the essentials you would need. Even a soup making machine ! Airer, washer dryer, dishwasher, iron, picket basket, dressing area for main bedroom and good size bedrooms. Million cove is a quiet location and the park is a retreat - so ideal for a quieter break when you dont need a holiday park. Outside the lodge was lovely, hot tub and dining table for 8. You only get one car parking space but there is additional car parking outside the park within a 5 minute walk. Overall a great holiday to Cornwall which we would return to"
Fadra - Aug 2024
"Fantastic holiday resort with lovely clean lodges"
Victoria - Aug 2024
"The lodge itself was beautiful and clean only minor detail was the decking was very creaky and felt loose in parts otherwise everything was excellent and very well equipped .The surrounding area is beautiful but there is very little to do unless you are willing to travel ."
Suzanne - Aug 2024
"Darwin Escapes at Mullion is nestled in a beautiful location, perfect for those who, like us, have holidayed in Predannack area for years. The site itself is long and narrow, with the lodges positioned quite close together, resulting in some facing directly into others. Unfortunately, our lodge had a neighboring unit that looked directly into the main bedroom. It appeared there were once blinds in the bedroom, which would have been helpful, particularly at night. The bright, white lights used for nighttime illumination, standing just over a meter high, flooded the room with light, making it difficult to sleep. Installing PIR sensors would greatly improve this issue. The lodges are spacious and pleasant, with our two-bedroom unit offering ample space and two well-sized bathrooms. However, the galley kitchen was a bit of a letdown, lacking sufficient counter space and only offering a basic selection of utensils. While there was a full set of crockery, the mismatched pieces were somewhat disappointing. A cafetire would have been a welcome addition.Walking on the lodge's floors was noisy due to creaking throughout, and there was a noticeable dip under one of the sofas, which detracted from the overall comfort. On a positive note, the balcony was generously sized, equipped with a patio table, chairs, and a convenient BBQ standperfect for enjoying the sunshine and cooking up some local fish from Cadgwith Cove. The site was quieter than expected, which was a pleasant surprise, but it does lack facilities for families with children. That said, the limited traffic and easy-to-monitor thoroughfare made it a relatively safe environment. The grounds are well-maintained with lovely planting that provides some privacy between the lodges. The staff were very responsive, quickly addressing a couple of issues we encountered on our first day. However, while the area itself is wonderful, the lodge felt a bit tired and likely overdue for a refurbishment. There may be ongoing updates across the site, but we could only judge based on our own experience. We had a pleasant week overall, but the experience fell short of our expectations. While the location is fantastic, the sites current condition and various overlooked details prevent me from giving it a higher rating. On a broader scale, I would rate it around 7/10, but it's clear there is room for improvement."
Verified Guest - Aug 2024
"Great service and a fabulous price given the time of year we booked."
Verified Guest - Aug 2024
"The lodge was a lovely place to set down for the week. Everything is available to hand. Village was lovely. Ammenties not far away, and local cove just a few minutes walk away."
Emma - Aug 2024
"The retreat is a beautiful peaceful location with stunning scenery very close by, however the lodge was not as good as we expected due to a few cleanliness issues that would be easily resolved with a little more care fom the cleaning team, we would however return as it was not off putiing, we as a family enjoyed our time there"
PAULINE - Jul 2024
"Needs more attention to detail, Accomadation needs deep cleaning, on a regular basis. Animal hair was found when sweeping up we did not have a dog with us. Mould in shower which is easily dealt with! Staff amazingly friendly. I know money is difficult for everyone but, when charging this amount, one would expect the cleaning to be the best."
Verified Guest - Jul 2024
"Towels - really stingy on saying you provide when in reality one towel per person for a whole 7 days is not really sufficient. Charging to hire more is cheeky. Surely we have run up your electricity bill by laundering (and tumble drying?) those we had in order to have fresh through the week? False economy for you guys."
Verified Guest - Jul 2024
"Very relaxing holiday"
Vivien - Aug 2022
"Great location, 2 mins walk to Mullion Cove & short driving distance to beaches. Quiet & beautifully located. I would have given it 10/10 but the lodge wifi was temperamental & had to keep connecting & disconnecting for it to work. No mobile signal within a mile or 2. Overflow parking wasn’t secured (only 1 allocated car per lodge). Other than that, perfect holiday."
MaryAnn - Aug 2022
"A wonderful holiday with our dog. This is a peaceful small site. Walking distance to the cove but you will need to drive 5 minutes to get to the local shops. Our cabin came with a couple of bin bags, washing up cloth and liquid plus a tea towel, salt and pepper and some tea, coffee and sugar. Shower has sample sizes of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel to get your holiday started. One evening was a little chilly but the heating comes on instantly and makes it lovely and toasty. Hot tub is clean and well maintained and sat into the deck so even though your neighbours are close you do have privacy. Overall we loved it and would definitely retrun!"
Amie - Aug 2022
"Lovely place to go on holiday to"
Andrew - Aug 2022
"Beautiful location, really quiet and not much going on, which is exactly what we wanted after a busy day of exploring all the amazing surrounding areas that are only a short drive away. This is our second time staying here and plan to come again :)"
Laura - Aug 2022
"Had an amazing weekend stay! The lodge was lovely for the price we paid, very quiet, no noise in the evenings from other residents, situated in a lovely location, just a short drive from most places. Lovely harbour at the bottom of the street just a 2 minute walk which we spent most of our weekend on. Lovely sunset in the evenings which you are able to stand and watch, and a little private beach in the day time when the tide is out! Will definitely be returning. Staff were very helpful, we arrived early for check in with a 4 month old baby, they got our room cleaned and ready for us as quick as they could. Very nice place."
Charlotte - Jul 2022
"We had a lovely week in our lodge. Very good spec & the hot tub was a family favourite ?"
Ginnette - Jul 2022
"Lovely peaceful retreat"
Amber - Jul 2022
"Lovely place to stay. Highly recommend 10/10"
Ashley - Jul 2022
"Would definitely go again and hopefully for longer."
Ryan - Jul 2022
"Staff were very pleasant but check-in from 4 on a Saturday and closed at 5 seems a bit strange."
