Mullion Cove Coastal Retreat Reviews

"Cleanliness of lodge was poor, cobwebs and dust with bedroom carpets stained and smelt of dog.main Lounge & kitchen floor still had food and sand on..Windows grubby Furniture worn & tired Oven old and settings all worn off Cushions on outdoor furniture had green mould on each one and 3 were missing from 8 chairs.Cleaning equipment was old and hoover had not been emptied for months that the filter had disintegrated.Darwin escapes need to improve the cleanliness of the lodges in Mullion Cove and replace worn & tired furniture if they are to market themselves as a luxury escape as they are very substandard."
Alison - May 2025
"An absolutely lovely lodge with everything we needed! There was a dishwasher as well as the washing machine, iron and board, picnic basket and plenty of wardrobe space! The hot tub was secluded and well maintained. We were lucky with the weather and were able to have breakfast on the decking a few mornings. Definitely a place I hope to go back to!"
Janice - May 2025
"Lodges are beautiful however, some could do with a little TLC. Grounds are kept lovely and clean with some lovely shrubs etc.Only gripe, would be nice if the "dog friendly" lodges had gates on them to prevent dogs escaping from the decking"
Anne - May 2025
"Beautiful lodge hot tub was very relaxing and outdoor area lovely to sit and enjoy the sunshine very private and quiet"
Catherine - May 2025
"Our Mullion Cove Coastal Retreat review: Lived every minute, clean tidy well equipped perfect location so cannot wait to return"
Claire - Apr 2025
"Apart from reception there's nothing on site like a small shop or being able to buy necessities from reception.... like milk, bread, tea or coffee ... also they confidently have a barbecue attached to railing where you could use a disposable barbecue.... would be a good idea if these could be purchased from reception too ..... just include details on information sheet. I will say that the information sheet was informative for details of where things were available shops pubs etc.Our lodge did not have a smart TV but the WIFI and Mobil network was shockingly bad .... but the sire was down a hill and we had a couple of bad stories which I am sure affected them both.On the whole lodge was comfortable but was showing its age from others we had used. Lodge had been cleaned and beds made up but the decking needed to be swept and bird droppings removed from hot tub cover.Hot tub had jets missing and no head pillows or rests.Never understand why there is no runner from patio doors to bedrooms to stop slips and trips"
Patsy - Apr 2025
"Wouldn't recommend unless you want a holiday where you can do nothing"
Verified Guest - Apr 2025
"We had a 4 night stay at Mullian Cove and were so happy with the accommodation and how clean and tidy everything was. Everything we needed was stocked in the caravan including plates, cutlery, towels etc. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was so nice and powerful. The hot tub was hot on arrival and ready for us to use! Everything was perfect and we would highly recommend for a peaceful, comfortable and reasonably priced stay."
Kristina - Apr 2025
"Lovely place well laid out. Peaceful lovely surroundings. Central to a lot of places. Lovely beaches and walks"
Dorothy - Apr 2025
"Great stay, would definitely come back!"
Emily Carter - Apr 2025
"We loved the peaceful setting and spacious chalet. The hot tub and deck really added a special touch. Cant wait to come back later this year! Definitely recommend."
Emma - Mar 2025
"Perfect in every way! Tucked away, peaceful & plenty of room in the chalet. Hot tub & deck were great too! Booking again for later in the yr!"
Pamela - Mar 2025
"We booked this as a Birthday escape which we found a decent sized lodge. Our main attraction was the Hot Tub which was excellent. We used it every day and it was well maintained by the onsite team. When checking in the team were so nice to provide a pet bag with some essentials for the dog that stayed with us. The lodge was a great size and was looked after well. Do note that the site is in the bottom of a Valley and phone signal may not be available. This was great though as really brings a disconnection from the outside world. You can also connect to the sites WiFi which was good connection. We highly recommend and would stay here again."
Andrew - Mar 2025
"The lodge was perfectly comfy everything we wanted was there, its all very well laid out and immaculately clean on arrival the hot tub was great"
Daniel - Mar 2025
"Enjoyable stay"
James - Mar 2025
"We had a lovely time during the February half term. Luckily the weather was good and in summer I can imagine it would be even nicer to visit."
Mariam - Feb 2025
"Lovely lodge in beautiful surroundings."
Victoria - Feb 2025
"This is a fantastic place for a getaway. The lodge offers everything you need in a self catering setting and the hot tub was a perfect addition to this trip. We return year on year and are never disappointed."
Michelle - Feb 2025
"Overall, were pretty pleased with the lodge. Just a couple of minor things, like some new cutlery knives, but nothing major at all."
Chris - Jan 2025
"Lovely clean, spacious accommodation with a dishwasher and fully equipped kitchen."
Char - Jan 2025
"We've just wrapped up our third year staying at Mullion Cove Coastal Retreat and honestly, we had another fantastic week. The staff really go out of their way to be helpful-this time, they even let us borrow the luxury bathrobes for free since it was our wedding anniversary, which was such a lovely touch. The lodge was spotless and super comfy, just what we needed for a relaxing break. The hot tub was always pristine and checked daily, so no worries there. If I had to pick one thing, it would be the bed - it's quite squeaky and weve mentioned it every year, so maybe its finally time for a new one! Definitely recommend."
Jamie - Nov 2024
"Great holiday, can't wait to come back again soon!"
Alex Turner - Oct 2024
"We enjoyed our holiday very much. Will return soon."
Mahendra - Oct 2024
"We celebrated my 50th birthday here with friends and it was fantastic. The walks along the breathtaking Cornish coast were perfect and unwinding in the hot tub after cooking and relaxing made it unforgettable. Loved every minute!"
Ellie - Sep 2024
"We stayed in a spacious lodge that really felt like a home away from home. The size of the place was excellent, plenty of room for everyone. The hot tub was definitely a highlight-huge and in perfect condition, we enjoyed relaxing in it. The location was spot on, just a short walk to the cove for sunsets or along the coastal path, which was lovely. There were enough glasses for all of us, which was handy. That said, a few things could be improved. One of the patio doors was jammed shut and very rusty, which was disappointing since we werent told about it upon arrival. The TV was a bit of a pain to operate and finding good channels was tricky; a smart TV would be a big plus. Also, each bedroom had a TV, but one was obstructed by a curtain rail almost through the screen and we couldnt open the Velux windows, even though others had theirs open. We had to ask for a frying pan, which was delivered later that day. Still, overall, we had a decent stay!"
Oliver - Sep 2024
"We stayed at a Marconi premier lodge and honestly, it was pretty impressive. Everything you'd need was there - even a soup maker! The bedrooms were a good size, with a dressing area for the main room and the place was super well equipped, including a washer dryer, dishwasher and iron. The outdoor space was lovely, especially the hot tub and the dining table for eight - perfect for relaxing evenings. The location at Million Cove is so peaceful, ideal if youre after a quiet getaway instead of a busy holiday park. Parking is a bit tight with just one space, but theres more parking nearby within a few minutes walk. Wed definitely come back to Cornwall again!"
Jenna - Aug 2024
"The lodge was perfect for our week away. Everything we needed was right there and the village was charming. The amenities and the local cove just a quick walk away made it even better. Wed come back!"
Charlotte - Aug 2024
"We had such a lovely stay! The lodge was super comfy and well kitted out, making us feel right at home. The little extras they included really added to the experience and we loved the peaceful surroundings. We enjoyed it so much that weve already booked for next year. One small tip would be to add a mirror on the road side when youre leaving, as the turn is quite tight and blind. Overall, a fantastic place!"
Harriet - Jul 2024
"Quiet, well-kept, cosy lodge-really enjoyed our stay!"
Jessica - Jul 2024
"Very comfy stay, great value, everything we needed was there."
Alexandra - Jul 2024
"Very relaxing holiday"
Vivien - Aug 2022
"Great location, 2 mins walk to Mullion Cove & short driving distance to beaches. Quiet & beautifully located. I would have given it 10/10 but the lodge wifi was temperamental & had to keep connecting & disconnecting for it to work. No mobile signal within a mile or 2. Overflow parking wasn’t secured (only 1 allocated car per lodge). Other than that, perfect holiday."
MaryAnn - Aug 2022
"A wonderful holiday with our dog. This is a peaceful small site. Walking distance to the cove but you will need to drive 5 minutes to get to the local shops. Our cabin came with a couple of bin bags, washing up cloth and liquid plus a tea towel, salt and pepper and some tea, coffee and sugar. Shower has sample sizes of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel to get your holiday started. One evening was a little chilly but the heating comes on instantly and makes it lovely and toasty. Hot tub is clean and well maintained and sat into the deck so even though your neighbours are close you do have privacy. Overall we loved it and would definitely retrun!"
Amie - Aug 2022
"Lovely place to go on holiday to"
Andrew - Aug 2022
"Beautiful location, really quiet and not much going on, which is exactly what we wanted after a busy day of exploring all the amazing surrounding areas that are only a short drive away. This is our second time staying here and plan to come again :)"
Laura - Aug 2022
"Had an amazing weekend stay! The lodge was lovely for the price we paid, very quiet, no noise in the evenings from other residents, situated in a lovely location, just a short drive from most places. Lovely harbour at the bottom of the street just a 2 minute walk which we spent most of our weekend on. Lovely sunset in the evenings which you are able to stand and watch, and a little private beach in the day time when the tide is out! Will definitely be returning. Staff were very helpful, we arrived early for check in with a 4 month old baby, they got our room cleaned and ready for us as quick as they could. Very nice place."
Charlotte - Jul 2022
"We had a lovely week in our lodge. Very good spec & the hot tub was a family favourite ?"
Ginnette - Jul 2022
"Lovely peaceful retreat"
Amber - Jul 2022
"Lovely place to stay. Highly recommend 10/10"
Ashley - Jul 2022
"Would definitely go again and hopefully for longer."
Ryan - Jul 2022
"Staff were very pleasant but check-in from 4 on a Saturday and closed at 5 seems a bit strange."
