Date of stay: 7th July 2018
A great holiday in a pleasant location
Kathleen, Kingsbridge
Date of stay: 6th July 2018
The caravan was a home from home and the quiet park setting enabled us to have a relaxing few days away.
Debbie, Wigton
Date of stay: 23rd June 2018

Date of stay: 26th May 2018
Lodge and Cornwall lovely, but site too remote for us, and lacked a decent shop on site..
B, Aberystwyth
Date of stay: 26th May 2018
The caravan is a little tired round the edges. The seal on the shower door is coming away. The en suite loo is tiny. The bed is short for a man of 6'2'' but still worth a 9 out of 10.
Joseph, Chelmsford
Date of stay: 19th May 2018
Lovely holiday park
Michele, East Grinstead
Date of stay: 4th May 2018
Booked a gold cabin for a week got the same one that 2 years ago we booked as platinum.
However still a very good cabin, well equipped and in a great position.
The park is extremely well kept and the staff are great. The Pool and amenities are grand.
10 Min walk you are on the beach and 5 min drive you are in Penzance or in Porthleven. This is my second time there and there will definitely be a third one
Andrea, Lincoln
Date of stay: 9th April 2018
Only criticism, was the position of the fire alarm - too close to oven. Went off every time we cooked!
Tracy, Taunton
Date of stay: 31st March 2018
Amazing holiday, we had the time of our lives. Nice walks to take the dog and 5 minutes walk to the beach. Beautiful view from the caravan that we stayed in. We are definitely going again.
Carol, Cramlington
Date of stay: 24th March 2018
Had an issue with the Door Lock but with the assistance from the duty maintenance this was resolved.
There were at least two issues which could have H&S concerns within the caravan.
Tom, Exeter
Date of stay: 17th March 2018

Date of stay: 4th November 2017
Great place to visit the local area. Excellent site facilities .
Date of stay: 4th November 2017
I would say that the caravan we stayed in was the best ever. So clean, comfortable and very luxurious especially considering it was pet-friendly. Was most surprised to find a washer/dryer and dishwasher hidden amongst the kitchen cupboards, really didn't expect that! It was great to have a closed in veranda so the dog could be outside with us, without fear of her running off and, to top it all, we had a great view of the sea and surrounding countryside. Absolutely loved it.
David, Stourbridge
Date of stay: 28th October 2017

A great relaxing off peak holiday in exceptionally well kept surroundings, The staff and friends we met previously made our holiday. The unit we were allocated was furnished to a very high standard and by far exceeded the equipment we have found in other rental properties we have stayed in.

Andrew, Cheshire
Date of stay: 2nd September 2017
Accommodation was stunning. Hot tub was amazing. The park is just what we like, not too busy and relaxed. The food in the restaurant was not as good as we would have hoped however the bar/restaurant staff and manager were fab and although we were not that impressed with the food we ate there on a couple of occasions during our stay because we knew that nothing was too much trouble. Loved the fact that when we went to reception to enquire about something the manager had remembered us from the night before and asked how the family all were, it's those little personal touches that mean a lot.
Antony, Chester

Date of stay: 19th August 2017
The en-suite toilet was a waste of space as not used. Shower in bathroom is small. Overall happy with caravan although there were not saucepans which I found odd, only really looked for them towards the end of our holiday - reported to reception on the day we left and the receptionist was surprised as well
Date of stay: 19th August 2017

This is the second time we have stayed at Praa sands. We upgraded to a Coastal Lodge with a hot tub on this occasion and weren't disappointed. It made our holiday! We like this park as it is very quiet and close to the beach (5 minute walk). It is also a good location for sightseeing as is close to Helston, Falmouth, Penzance, St Ives etc.

Date of stay: 24th June 2017
Beautiful caravan, everything you could want. The only gripe I have is that the mattress really needs changing as you could feel the springs. I didn't ask the staff as I just put a blanket under the sheet.

Date of stay: 20th March 2017
We were moved to this unit at the last minute due to unexplained problems with our original choice, we were certainly not disappointed. Very well appointed and kitted out. The only downside was poor TV reception and a faulty DVD which although reported on day 1 was never resolved and so made nights in rather boring.

Date of stay: 29th October 2016
We arrived a little late due to traffic and picked up our keys from the bar. On arrival at our Platinum Plus caravan we definitely were not disappointed! The lamps and heating were left on for us and along with a cute little welcome box with tea, coffee and other goodies. The caravan was brand new and immaculately clean, with a flat screen TV and DVD, 2 bathrooms, a lovely dining area, spacious decking with furniture and generous parking. The kitchen was super equipped with everything we needed and more. The caravan was huge, with so much space for everyone, the kids were in 7th heaven after holidaying in our tourer for so long! We will definitely be back to Praa Sands in 2017, hopefully in the same van. Thank you Haulfryn and Hoseasons xx
Jamie, Exeter
Date of stay: 17th October 2016
We booked just out of season which gave us exceptional value.

The site was beautifully maintained and the daily upkeep was evident even though we were out of season.

We had dog friendly accommodation and with the beach just a few minutes away this was a great place for us to enjoy with our pet. (Be aware dogs are banned from many Cornish beaches in season, up until early October)

The accommodation far exceeded our expectations, far better than some chain hotels I've stayed in. Beautifully keept with great quality facilities, i.e great shower, heating and cooker etc.

If you're after a cosy get away within distance of varied towns, walks and things such as Flambards theme park, Paradise bird sanctuary and the St Ives tate gallery to name but a few then you could do far worse than Praa Sands.
Mark, Thrapston
Date of stay: 1st October 2016

Michael, Southampton
Date of stay: 24th September 2016

Elaine, Carterton
Date of stay: 23rd September 2016
It was like home from home,we could not believe what a fantastic caravan it was.a long time since we stayed in one! we were impressed with all the kitchen utensils, which made it easy for self catering.we did not expect an en-suite and shower room.the only disappointment was we could only get 2 channels on the television bbc1/2 ,and we had a problem with hot water, which was quickly sorted out,but the heating by radiators was non existant, only the fire in the lounge worked, but they were minor issues, and it would not stop us staying at that site again, even in the same van if available.
Dennis, Gloucestershire
Date of stay: 16th September 2016
The lodge was lovely, the carpet in master bedroom needed changing but it was a very high standard lodge,
Date of stay: 10th September 2016
We stayed in one of the 'Platinum Caravan Four Plus Caravans' on site and was very impressed to find how clean, spacious and comfortable it was.

We had a wonderful view of the sea from Praa Sands Beach from our living room windows, which was also a nice bonus.

The caravan featured everything it did in the pictures on the website, including the very cosy electric fire in the living room, which as we went in September, had on every evening.

I can't think of anything that would have improved the caravan as it was everything we expected but even better.

Date of stay: 3rd August 2015
The holiday home was just perfect, loads and loads of storage and hangers in the built in wardrobes and lots of drawer space. We had far more equipment than I expected such as dishwasher and a washer/dryer and ironing board and iron and Hoover. The decor was very contemporary with gloss grey kitchen and bifold doors and the bathrooms also with an ensuite walk in fully tiled shower. The shower was as good as the shower we have at home, sometimes when you are away the shower heads are limed up or not very powerful. The only things that could've been improved upon were a few more plates and bowls, bath towels to be provided - I was expecting this but there weren't any, we had brought towels for our second week at another site, so was not an issue. The mattresses on the beds could do with replacing as you could feel the springs on the double mattress. There were TVs in the bedrooms and a lovely fire and large plasma in the lounge. It was so good we will book next year

Date of stay: 22nd May 2015
I have marked this down a little and it was not on the lodge but the furniture outside! all 4 chairs were broken and this was clear enough to see the seating was all broken I went straight down to reception to tell them as I did not want to be blamed for the damage! they were very obliging and said no one else had complained but they would change them, I went away quite happy with that, however when we came back on the Saturday things were still the same it was a shame as both Friday and Saturday night we could have sat outside! I once again went to reception to complain they promised again to replace them! we came back Sunday and yippee they had been replaced and it was lovely sitting on the decking with a nice glass of wine and the lovely surroundings and spectacular views.

This is the third time we have stayed here and you just cannot beat the place!! The accommodation is always superb and it is a very clean well looked after site. It is a short walk down to the best beach in Cornwall and easy to get to South and North Cornwall!!
I cannot recommend this place enough!!

Really enjoyed our stay. TV didn't work in the lounge but was quickly rectified by helpful staff. Breakfast wasn't great but dinner was very good. Would definitely recommend to anyone and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Only point I would raise is that a rate was available for the 4 nights we stayed rather than having to pay for each 9/18 holes daily.
Having the facility to play as many or as few holes as and when has been the norm at similar venues I have stayed at.

Best caravan we have ever stayed in.

Swimming pool hours were strange and no bbqs on site at all is very short sighted. Chuck a bit of a walled area up with a fire hose reel nearby and voila, BBQ area. Using Health and Safety as an excuse is a lie, nothing legislates no bbqs on a holiday site.
Date of stay: 30th August 2014
Wonderful location for my sons to experience surfing and body boarding.

Fantastic place to holiday near beach and local interesting places. Grounds kept perfect and very clean. Pool and reception bar area very good and food available great value. Just 2 downs only one washer and drier on sight and showers at pool should be updated an desperate men and women. Overall great place will return once again hopefully.

Easily the nicest caravan we have ever stayed in. The kitchen area was a little on the small side, but aside from that the bedroom and living areas were all very generous (including a walk-in wardrobe in the main bedroom). The caravan could have been a little cleaner on arrival, but the comfort factor more than made up for that. We booked this at the last minute in the sale, hence a scoring of 10 on the value for money scale.

We've been to many camps around the country and found this one suited us down to the ground

Lovely place. Lovely caravan (lined curtains in children's bedroom would have been great, but it's the same at every caravan site!)
But, it is lovely and quiet and clean.

Fantastic caravan and site. High quality fixtures and fittings. Spotlessly cleaned and well maintained (site and caravan). Ours probably only caravan on site without a sea view but still thought it was excellent. £20 for slow wifi was my only quibble. Otherwise everything exceeded our expectations

Lovely park. Nice and quiet and the leisure facilities are excellent. Great little playground for my daughter, lovely pool, spa and gym. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Caravan was ready early on the day we arrived. Excellent all round.

We arrived at 4pm as requested but were unable to enter our accommodation until 5pm as took the staff over 3 hours to clean caravan after last holidaymakers. Apparently there was stuff(!) smeared on every mirror, carpet and work surface etc. All beds had to be cleaned too. When we finally got in we spent over an hour washing every utensil and disinfecting every surface for peace of mind. Spoilt our holiday! Cannot believe that people can treat other people's property in such a dreadful way. Apart from this, the holiday was wonderful - a stunning holiday park in wonderful surroundings and close proximity to Praa Sands. Walking distance to the beach and to the fantastic Sandbar restaurant.

Excellent and we would like to book again for a week in August next year

We asked for a sea view and didn't get one. The beach is not atall as described as the storms did a lot of damage to the sands. We came to this location specifically for the beach and were very upset to find out about this. We feel it should have been mentioned to us, so perhaps we would have chosen a different site as we were choosing between two. The other being slightly further down the coast

My only complaint is that the beds were a little soft - but overall the lodge we stayed in was extremely pleasant and well furnished.

Been to this Lodge 3 times now & love it's position & interior but each time we have visited seagulls were nesting on its roof. We have previously told the staff & after speaking to residents nearby who told us that in the past the nest had been power washed off but the seagulls immediately remade it which isn't surprising. We think as it's the only lodge with a nest something more permanent should be done. We know staying by the sea seagulls are inevitable but the 5am noise every morning was rather a bit too much, we needed to go home for a lie in!!! It won't effect us using Praa Sands site again but we are hoping to book another Superior Country Lodge 4 Platimun hopefully without the dreaded Seagull nest. We feel it such a shame because 32 Atlantic Rise is a beautiful Lodge.

Everything was really good apart from the TV reception we could only get one channel. We reported this on the 1st day & they came to repair it when we were out, but on our return it was just the same. Didn't feel like reporting it again, didn't feel we should have too & we were only in at night about an hour & a half. If it was not for this we would have scored a 10.
Lovely holiday park, immaculately clean and well presented. The only problem we had was the fire alarm in the caravan went off every time we used the oven! Need extractor or alarm repositioning, easily remedied 🙂
We had a fantastic stay and the caravan was super clean ! The pool was great and the water was clean and warm. The restaurant area could be improved in regards to evening atmosphere to make it more welcome. other downside was that you couldn't bring your dog inside. Perfect location , very close to the beach.
Fantastic stay can’t wait to return!
Best holiday I have had in a long. We are going back with out a doubt. The holiday park well maintained and clean. Staff were brilliant and helpful as well as friendly. Accommodation was outstanding.
Spent a relaxing fortnight despite the weather (rain, snow, frost and wind) and would thoroughly recommend this experiance to anyone wishing to visit the area. An ideal location for visiting the local area and further attractions in Cornwall. We have booked again for the summer.
Good caravan but kitchen layout very poor. Dining table too big for room, no larder storage.
Perfect place to unwind. Caravans are superb and so is the location and facilities. Very close to the beach.
A lovely park in a lovely location. The unit we had was also great. Very clean and great facilities. All the staff in the onsite facilities were always cheerful and helpful
We had a superb caravan with views of the sea it’s a lovely site just a short walk to Praia sands beach which is lovely too.
Had a lovely lodge and was really clean and nice fixtures and fittings . Pool and sauna were great and restaurant had one lovely meal in , shame no area on site to pick up a few basics as am sure this would be swell used addition . One thing unless missed it could do with more bin stores / pet bins around the site . Only found 1 .
We had a brilliant holiday the last week of October. We stayed in a 2 bed vip caravan. It had all mod cons and was immaculate. Having a hot tub was a real bonus looking up at the stars from the warmth. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend.
Second visit this year and wasn't disappointed. The standard of caravan was excellent .Location is great for the beach and with two young children they loved every minute. The cookies and milk in the evening proved a hit with the kids. Pool facilities are of a high standard. Will definitely return next year.

The Eden Project is a fantastic local attraction in Cornwall which will appeal to families and couples.  From the moment you step through the entrance it's clear that this is no ordinary attraction.  All under one roof you will find a giant rainforest, Horticulture courses, rock climbing, ice skating and an arts cafe.  Not all of these activities are on at one time, they are staggered throughout the year so check out the website to see what's available when you plan to visit.  Autumn at Eden is very popular with events such as daily apple pressing and Time Changing Tales (story telling with an autumn theme).
