Ruda Reviews

"Overall, we found the furniture decent, though the settee arm was a bit wobbly and the dining table felt a tad loose. The fridge had a few minor flaws and the main bathroom could do with a quick update. The beds were memory foam, which took some getting used to, but comfort improved. Not bad at all!"
Emma Clarke - Mar 2025
"Great spot, will visit again"
Samir - Mar 2025
"Really enjoyed the lodge, it had everything we needed for a lovely family holiday!"
Emma - Feb 2025
"Overall, pretty good stay. Wouldve appreciated a heads-up about the blocked drain in the shower beforehand. Still, the place was super comfy and had everything we needed - quite happy with it!"
Emma Carter - Nov 2024
"Our Ruda review: Honestly, we werent too impressed with the place. When we arrived, it was clear there were quite a few issues. The curtain rails were hanging off the walls and the hallway door barely shut unless you kicked it. The main bedroom door had a punched hole, patched up with mismatched tape. The cooker backsplash had a gap at the top, making it a nightmare to clean behind. Plus, the high chair we rented was ripped to shreds. Not what we expected at all."
Jamie - Sep 2024
"Great place, had all we needed for a chilled holiday. Cheers!"
Sam - Sep 2024
"Really liked the clean, modern feel of the caravan. Beds were super comfy!"
Olivia Carter - Aug 2024
"The place was spotless and had everything we needed. The double bed was way too soft for us, not very comfy. Perfect size for four people over a week. Would stay again!"
Emma Carter - Aug 2024
"We had a fantastic time at Croyde Bay, honestly one of the nicest beaches we've visited. Our stay at no.29 was super convenient, just a short stroll to the beach which was perfect. A heads up though, on arrival, the swimming slots were fully booked, so definitely try to pre-book if you want to take a dip. The WiFi was pretty rubbish and you had to pay extra for decent connection, which was a bit annoying. Don't forget to bring a bath mat for the shower because water tends to splash everywhere. Towels are a must as well. The place couldve been a bit cleaner, quite dusty and we even found a couple of old clothes! The onsite shop and amusements were really handy. All in all, we'd definitely return!"
Hannah - Jul 2024
"Really pleased with the upgrade, made our trip special."
Matt - Jul 2024
"The caravan was surprisingly roomy for just four of us, comfortably sleeping eight! Two bathrooms really made our stay much easier. Great experience!"
Emma Carter - Jul 2024
"Beautiful scenery, relaxing atmosphere"
Emma Clarke - May 2024
"We stayed in this caravan recently and honestly, it was pretty great. The fridge and full-size freezer meant plenty of room for food, which was handy. The space is quite generous, both inside and out, with a secure decking area and comfy table and chairs. The kitchen was well-equipped and the bedrooms offered lots of storage. Plus, the extra toilet was a real bonus when travelling with kids. Definitely a good find!"
Emma - May 2024
"Good overall experience"
James - Apr 2024
"We really appreciated the space with three bedrooms and proper heating. The caravan was spotless and had all the essentials. It was a bit worn, but considering the low price, it exceeded our expectations. Overall, quite happy with our stay!"
Emily Carter - Apr 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, the caravan was perfect, especially the huge fridge! Would definitely book again."
Rachel M. - Apr 2024
"We stayed at this lodge recently and honestly, its fantastic. The kids loved running around outside and inside. Bedrooms and bathroom are really roomy, with loads of storage for clothes. Definitely recommend!"
Emma - Apr 2024
"We had a really lovely stay in this caravan. The beds were all made when we arrived, which was a nice touch and the heating was spot on - kept us warm even in the chilly February weather. The place felt fresh with new crockery, cutlery and plenty of pots and pans for cooking. The USB sockets were super handy too. The sofas looked comfy, although we didnt use them as beds. The small verandah looked perfect for summer days, but unfortunately, we didnt get the chance. Overall, a cosy and well-equipped spot!"
Emma - Feb 2024
"Its a lovely caravan, but we found ourselves needing more bowls and trays in the kitchen. Slightly understocked, really! Definitely bring some extras if youre planning a longer stay. Overall, though, its a comfy and well-kept place for a getaway."
Sarah J. - Feb 2024
"Nice little caravan, really cosy inside. The shower was way too hot, no way to turn it down. Everything else was spot on though, we had a good stay!"
Emily - Feb 2024
"We stayed at this lodge recently and while the location was stunning, there were quite a few issues. The decking was a bit bouncy in spots and could do with some fixing. Inside, it was spacious but the door handles felt loose and some doors didnt close properly. The fridge was broken, so they put in a free-standing one, but it left a gap filled with a broken bin. Also, the gas cookers control knob was broken, making it tricky to turn off properly."
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
"We had a mostly good stay, but there were a few issues. The main bedroom lights didnt work and although we reported it, no one came back to fix them, which was disappointing. There were cobwebs in the room and a piece of beading hanging loose in the kitchen. Still, we enjoyed our holiday overall!"
Martin - Nov 2023
"The caravan was really comfy and lovely, no doubt about that. The only downside was crossing the muddy grass to reach it, which was a pain. Still, would stay again!"
Emma - Nov 2023
"We had a fantastic holiday! The caravans were super comfy and spotless. On-site facilities were handy and the surrounding scenery was absolutely breathtaking. Truly a beautiful spot to unwind!"
Emma - Nov 2023
"We stayed in a lovely caravan, but the single beds were quite tiny and the double mattress really needs replacing - didnt get much sleep. The kids were disappointed we only managed one swim as it booked up super fast. On the bright side, the beach was gorgeous and the onsite shop was really handy. Not bad overall!"
Emma - Nov 2023
"Great location, modern decor and close to the beach - loved it!"
Emily Carter - Nov 2023
"We had an enjoyable stay in North Devon and really appreciated how close the beach was to our caravan - just a short walk away! There was plenty to keep the kids entertained, which was great. The park itself was clean and well-maintained, so no complaints there. The swimming pool, however, did look a bit tired and could do with a refresh, but it didnt spoil our trip. Our main issue was the caravans location - it was right next to a busy road and behind a staff traffic route, which made things quite noisy. We stayed with a child who has additional needs and a dog thats sensitive to noise, so it was a bit challenging. Our kid used ear defenders to cope, but a quieter spot wouldve been much better. Maybe staff could consider this when assigning caravans in future. Still, overall a lovely holiday!"
Alex - Nov 2023
"The holiday was okay, but the caravan felt a bit rundown. Also, the Nisa shop isnt very competitive with prices, especially since the big supermarkets just 5 miles down the road. Could be better."
Martin - Jun 2023
"We really enjoyed our stay, but a decking area would be a bonus. The seagulls were quite noisy, especially when they're tap dancing on the caravan roof! Still, lovely overall."
Elaine - Jun 2023
"Overall, we enjoyed our stay, though there were a couple of minor issues. The ants in the lodge were a bit annoying, but honestly, its just one of those things. Also, the restaurant portions felt quite small for what you pay, which was a bit disappointing. Still, wed go back!"
Emma - Jun 2023
"Didn’t use the on-site restaurant. Did have Fish and chips from the Fish and chippery, which were tasty and reasonably priced."
Peter - Jul 2022
"The caravan was clean and the reception staff were helpful however the club area where the ordering system has to be done via an app is frustrating at best and each time I used it the order had something missing when it arrived, poor or just trying to rip of the customer?"
Dennis - Jul 2022
"Great location, lovely clean caravan and contactless check in/out. We really liked the Italian on site. Staff were mostly great with a few exceptions (the shop). Overall we had brilliant week."
David - Jul 2022
"Great location right by the beautiful beach and bay"
Anthea - Jul 2022
"Stayed on a 3 night break. Accommodation was spotless and very comfortable. Site was clean and tidy."
Wendy - Jul 2022
