Where's Broadlands Park and Marina?
mr david storey
I took my wife here for a couple of days and it was just superb. the lodge, health club and bar were all top notch and for the price we paid it was excellent value. coming back with friends next year.
Miss Tracy Lees
A nice quiet park, the owners are very friendly and helpful. Everyhting is very clean too and the lodges are spacious and nicely furnished. Well located for some good days out. Overall a 8 out of 10!
Pearl Dunne
We stayed in a bungalow at Broadland holiday village but we had stayed in one of the lodges previously. Both visits were very enjoyable and the whole site was fantastic. Staff were very helpful, gymnasium and pool were equally as good and the team very professional. We visited the bar and restaurant, again, the staff were excellent and the food and prices were very reasonable. Both the lodge and the bungalow were very well furnished and kitchens very well equiped. We have been made very welcome each time and we are making a return visit next month.

Date of stay: 29th June 2018
Lovely bungalow which was clean as well as comfortable. Not super modern but this was fine.

The kitchen had all the necessary equipment to prepare meals e.g. we cooked every day including the use of the oven.

The beds and leather sofas were very comfortable.

Improvements could include electricity, towels and Wi-Fi but we knew these were extras and they did not cost a fortune e.g. Wi-Fi was £7 for 3 days for 2 devices

Date of stay: 3rd January 2018
We had a lovely time the staff were fabulous especially Lynne who went above and beyond to help us out . My only gripe is if you have a pet friendly park let them into the bar area . As we couldn't leave our dog we ( he has anxiety issues) so we can't leave him so we couldn't enjoy the bar & restaurant. During the summer it would be ok sitting outside but not in the middle of winter so please address this as it spoilt our enjoyment of our holiday .

Very good break to go back would need more to do on site.
Sally, Camberley Surrey
Date of stay: 1st September 2017
The only one downfall with this park was the restaurant/pub did not allow dogs in which was really disappointing. This meant that we had to drive to a local dog friendly pub which meant one of us had to drive so could not enjoy a drink.
This would most definately put me off returning.
Ruth, Hemel Hempstead
Date of stay: 25th August 2017
Great time at a very fair price, would come back
Lesley, Skegnedd
Date of stay: 25th August 2017
Nice and clean. It had all the basic things in and furniture was comfy. Only problem we had was that none of the doors shut properly so we had to baricade doorways so our toddler stayed out the kitchen and out of the cupboards and away from the hot oven
Andrew, Grimsby

Date of stay: 30th December 2016
The only problem i had was the shower as I'm quite short. I couldn't reach it. We couldn't open the windows as they were locked & couldn't get any fresh air. Apart from that it was brilliant.
Kay
Date of stay: 1st October 2016
Our holiday accomodation was clean, simple & beds comfortable (depends what you like, but I like a firmer bed - and my son liked his softer bed). The accomodation is small when you see the bungalows the two bedroom is a third of the bungalow that you see on screen. A lovely base for being out all day, self catering, kitchen small adequate. We recommend Broadsrest.

Date of stay: 11th April 2016
Lovely little place to stay, especially with a toddler as there's things for him to do and being able to do some self catering saves a bit of money. We've stayed there twice, no complaints. Very convenient for the railway station which takes you to the town or beach in a few minutes, short walk to local park with lots of children's facilities.
Derek, Stevenage
Date of stay: 28th March 2016
Cannot fault it
Mary, Cambridgeshire
Date of stay: 25th March 2016
This is a good sized unit for two or three people with two separate bedrooms. Clean, good facilities if you wanted to cook yourself. My only suggestion would be to include a hair dryer (ladies, I'm sure that like me, you would be lost without such a basic item!).
Brenda, Gillingham, Kent

Very relaxing and so quiet. The only small issue was that with the shower over the bath, quite a lot of water ended up on the floor...

Ann, Sheffield
Date of stay: 24th October 2015
Bungalow was comfortable, bathroom a little on the small size. Didn't like the leather sofa's because they were too low for our liking. We had a bungalow with private hot tub, which was great, well worth it. Bedroom was comfortable. Kitchen was small but practical
Jennifer
Date of stay: 24th October 2015
We love this place. The bungalows may be dated but they are always spotlessly clean! Well done the cleaning team. The pool and gym are a lovely surprise for such a site but the showers could do with updating.
David, Richmond
Date of stay: 28th September 2015
Clean and well equipped bungalow. We needed a short stay for a family occasion and it was very useful allowing a pet to stay with us. I would certainly consider booking again if the need arrives.

Date of stay: 29th August 2015
The bungalow was clean and well furnished, though the bathroom and bedrooms could do with some modernisation. The kitchen was very well equipped and though it was small, it was perfectly formed.
Very pleased to be able to take our dog with us and it was a very dog-friendly place although the dog bins were overflowing for our entire stay.

Date of stay: 8th August 2015
We stayed in one of the brick-built bungalows for a week. The accommodation is good, the staff are helpful and friendly and there is a pub/club onsite for meals and drinks if you don't fancy cooking for yourself.

The local railways station is a 2 minute walk, where you can catch trains for Lowestoft and Ipswich.

The location is good and makes a good base for days out to surrounding towns and beaches.
Coleman, Colchester

The oven was very smokey when using it which filled up the bungalow. However, it was very clean. Hot tub was clean too.

If I could move the accommodation to another side it would be brilliant
Jillian, Gt. Cornard. Sudbury. Suffolk
Date of stay: 20th February 2015
Very good accommodation. Nice and Warm,(after all it was February) clean, everything there we needed for our stay, couldn't ask for more as it was a few days away to see surrounding places, with our daughter and granddaughter. Maybe a small shop to get milk, papers and rolls etc would have been helpful, but, can see why you don't have that facility.
Amanda, Norwich
Date of stay: 20th February 2015
Superb hot tub, clean and tidy bungalow with comfortable bed.
Rochelle, Birmingham
Date of stay: 19th January 2015
I was amazed as soon as i stepped through the front door. Everything was clean and felt very much like a home. The only complaint i would have is that the bathrooms didn't have working locks but that would not stop me giving this accommodation 10/10
Josephine, King's Lynn
Date of stay: 30th December 2014
The bungalow we stayed in was lovely with everything you could want in there. Very clean and comfortable
Suzanne, Borehamwood
Date of stay: 27th December 2014
We had a few problems with the overflow in the kitchen, but nothing major. They could put hooks on the back of doors and a small wall coat hook in the hall area as theres no where to hand dressing gowns or coats.
David, Southend

It's not 5 Star but you don't pay 5 Star. It's very good thou

Bianca, Guildford
Date of stay: 10th November 2014
our accomadation(23) was spotlessly clean & hot tub was perfect & good quality but when we arrived the z-bed wasn't in our accomadatin so I had to go back to reception which was a little inconvient but the staff were very nice & had the matter cleared up within 10mins.the furniture although nice to look at was rather poor quality & the cooker has seen better days but was functional.other than them little grips it was what we required & we will consider returning again.the overall reason of choosing our accomadation was the ideal area, the family friendly atmosphere of the entire site & its facilities but most of all the great faultless hot tub!
Caroline, Notts
Date of stay: 1st November 2014

Stephen, Chelmsford

No complaints about the accommodation at all. Very clean on arrival, very comfortable inside and the hot tub is amazing. Quite surprised about the generous size of the accommodation too. It was so nice to come back after a day out exploring to relax in the hot tub. We stayed in a Broadside Plus and would definitely stay again.

Date of stay: 8th September 2014
We felt the kitchen was a bit small, ok for the weekend which is what our holiday was, but for the week I feel you would struggle because there is so little storage space, but apart from this could not fault the rest of the accommodation, very spacious, warm and comfortable. Especially loved the hot tub & the little outside area it was in.
Elaine, North Lincs

Alison, Croydon
Date of stay: 2nd August 2014
We really enjoyed our stay at broadland holiday park. Me & a friend wnt with our children aged 3-5. We stayed in a princess delux caravan, it was v cleaned & well maintained the double bed matress was better than most I've experienced on caravan holidays. The put me up bed in lounge was intresting I can't see how 2 could sleep on it in caravan no5 as it was uneven & didn't pull out like a normal sofa bed, as we were only 5 we used the lounge sofa a single bed but caravan is supposed 2sleep 6.

There's loads to do in the area for families & the reception were v helpful offering discounted tickets. The beach at lowestoff was lovely & sandy.
The pool opening times on site were gr8 I think it was 8-6 then they have an adult only session after 6, the pool was really nice we wnt everyday & it was never over crowded even though it was school summer holidays.
There's no entertainment in the evening but it was refreshing just to let the kids play out or we walked frm the site around the broad to the park, or there's the club house which we ate at once which was a nice atmosphere & gd food.

Parking is tight by caravan each has 1 allocated tight space, but there's a carpark further up & it's a shame there's no shop on site we had to out to the shop.

Overall we really enjoyed ourselves & didn't want to leave. I would definately return in the future.

David
Date of stay: 19th July 2014
The bungalow was spotless which is amazing for one that allows dogs. Nothing worse than getting to your holiday and the place not being clean but this was really really clean. The bed was comfy, the TV was nice and big with a great picture. The sofa was also comfy and the Hot Tub was also clean and the area was tidy to. The only thing I would add is some kind of clothes horse in the bathroom to dry your swim wear on would be nice but that is being really picky.
Nicola, Stoke On Trent
Date of stay: 19th July 2014
I could not fault this accommodation.

We loved the bungalow, the only thing I would criticise is we were slightly mislead that the zed-bed could fit into any of the rooms but we moved some furniture so not a huge problem

The accommodation was clean, warm and comfortable.
The living area was spacious with comfortable sofas and a
storage heater provided excellent warmth. The bedroom was
provided with plenty of storage space and a comfortable bed.
The kitchen and bathroom were both well appointed and the
kitchen was well equipped.

Spotless and comfortable accomodation if a little dated. Wanted a cheap, quiet weekend with the hubby away from little one and it was perfect!

Nice holiday site

Lovely compact holiday park, seconds from the marina and miles of beautiful walks. The bungalow was spotlessly clean, lovely furnishings and well equipped. Only downside was the miscommunication over whether we needed to buy cards for the electric meter, with a unexpected cut out when the remaining credit ran out, luckily it happened when the bat was open to get credit, so do check!
Andrew
Had a lovely relaxing holiday in clean accommodation and beautiful surroundings. Will definitely return

Despite some unkind weather for our family Easter break, the warmth of welcome was wonderful - even including Easter Eggs for our grandchildren. Information was clear and staff so very helpful. The park is amazingly clean and the free access to the heated pool was great. There is a sauna and fitness gym too. Something for all ages - good birdwatching and walking as the park has direct access to Oulton Broad and footpaths, and our kids enjoyed a short train ride to Lowestoft for retail therapy! Thank you - we spent a lovely Easter break and wished it was longer.

Great place to relax.Lovely clean bungalows.

Love it here our family has been visiting for years although smaller and now more private owned which is a shame I hope they still keep some of it available for everyone. X

Fun Days Out near Broadlands Park and Marina

about 2 Miles
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.

Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.

Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.

This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.

This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.

This amazing owl sanctuary located in the Stowmarket area of Suffolk should be high on your list of places to visit in the area.  The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region.  The sanctuary also raises awareness of owl conservation throughout the UK.  Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.

We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.

The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
