The lodges are spaced well and you won't feel like you're on top of anyone. Outside you'll find a family-size hot tub set to the perfect temperature when you arrive. Enjoy watching the stars or just unwinding with a favourite drink.

Making a splash

One of the big plus points to Norfolk Woods Resort is its large indoor heated pool which children will really enjoy during their break. It's open all year round and has a separate area for younger children with lots of fun things for them to play with, or just do their own thing.

Keeping fit during your holiday

If you like to keep fit while you're on holiday, Norfolk Woods has a large fitness studio with plenty of equipment that will suit all levels of experience. It's not tucked away in some cupboard like you'll find in some hotels and resorts. This is a great fitness suite with lots of resistance machines and free weights.

Treat yourself at the spa

As well as relaxing in your hot tub, there's a choice of treatments available at the onsite spa, which offers

Family activities on site

While staying at Norfolk Woods Resort, your family can take part in a range of memorable activities from staples like Archery, to the pure insanity of the Body Zorbs, where you go inside a kind of giant beachball and run around smashing into your friends and family. Kids will love the pool-based activities too like the Water Walkerz and the Sea Scooters.

There's also a specially designed kids playpark on site with slides, playhouses and plenty to keep children from around 3 - 10 occupied.

Norfolk Woods Resort and Spa Reviews

"Really happy with the service"
Emma Roberts - Aug 2020
"Nice place, would recommend"
Claire Martin - Aug 2020
"Really enjoyed my experience here"
Emily - Aug 2020
"We had a lovely stay! The lodge was really modern and super comfy and the park was peaceful with a great pool and splash park for the kids. Definitely coming back!"
Sarah - Aug 2020
"Our Norfolk Woods Resort and Spa review: We stayed at this lodge recently and honestly, its got some really nice touches with good fixtures and fittings. The hot tub was a highlight, especially on the first night when it was perfectly hot, which was just what we needed! The lodge park itself has quite a few lodges close together, so it can feel a bit crowded and there's the added noise from the A47 nearby-traffic can be heard both day and night, so bear that in mind. The facilities on-site are well-maintained and easy to book, like the pool and outdoor table for drinks, which was handy. One thing we werent too keen on was the cleanliness, especially with everything going on at the moment. Some high touch areas had been removed, but it didnt ruin our stay. Overall, we really enjoyed our holiday and would come back!"
Confirmed Guest - Aug 2020
"Great spot for a relaxing weekend escape! Definitely recommend."
Harriet - Aug 2020
"We had a fantastic time! It was great to relax without the crowds around us."
Rachel - Aug 2020
"We underst and that it's a delivery-only place right now, which is okay. But our order got mixed up with another lodge'sand theirs came to us while ours went elsewhere. By the time we got our food, it was pretty cold. Bit of a letdown!"
Mark - Aug 2020
"We had a fantastic time here! The facilities are top-notch, the site is spotless and the accommodation was lovely. Definitely recommend!"
Oliver - Jul 2020
"Great place to unwind, honestly"
George - Jul 2020
"We really enjoyed our stay, the lodge looked stunning and the hot tub was a definite highlight. Only downside was the shower and bath, which werent very strong and the water stayed quite tepid. Still, great trip overall!"
Chris - Jul 2020
"We stayed at this lodge recently and honestly, its quite a nice spot. The place itself is neat and well-maintained, with all the appliances (Bosch, no less) working perfectly. The kitchen had everything we needed, which was a relief. The only hiccup was the shower - it ran super hot and the temperature control was pretty limited, so we had to be cautious with the little ones around. The pools closing time of 4:45 pm was a bit early, especially since it was open for swimming lessons during the day, but at least we could still use the other facilities beforeh and. The gym is decent and the sauna and steam room are worth a try. Checking in isnt until 4 pm, which felt a bit late, but you can enjoy the facilities during the day. Wed definitely come back, especially in warmer months - Hunstanton beach isnt far and theres plenty to do, plus its dog-friendly with some big beaches further up the coast."
Alex - Mar 2020
"Perfect spot to unwind and enjoy yourself."
Sam - Mar 2020
"We just returned from a four-night stay and honestly, it was fantastic! The Lexham Premier lodge was top-notch-spotlessly clean, modern and really comfortable. We made good use of the hot tub every evening, which was a lovely touch. The facilities were great; I used the gym daily and everything I needed was there. The Bistro served some of the best food weve had on holiday. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Were already planning to come back soon, cant wait!"
Jamie - Feb 2020
"We had a fantastic stay! The lodges were spotlessly clean, modern and super cosy, which made us feel right at home. The kids absolutely loved the swimming pool and park, while our son was over the moon with the football activities. The hot tub was a real highlight for the whole family. The location was perfect, though were planning to come back later in the year when its warmer so we can enjoy the nearby beaches. We also enjoyed a couple of nights at the restaurant, which had a really good menu and tasty food. Wed definitely recommend it!"
Jessica - Feb 2020
"We stayed at Bircham Premier and really enjoyed it. Perfect size for a cosy weekend and the lodge had everything we needed. The water pressure wasnt the best, but honestly, it didnt spoil our stay. The kitchen was super well stocked too!"
Clara - Feb 2020
"Lovely, would recommend"
Martin - Feb 2020
"We honestly can't recommend this place enough! We stayed here to celebrate our first anniversary and I reached out to the staff beforeh and to organise a surprise- they were so helpful and friendly. When we arrived, we were blown away by the effort they'd put in; the lodge was absolutely stunning and perfectly equipped. The location is a bit remote from towns, but honestly, thats part of the charm since everything you need is on-site. The only thing that wasnt ideal was the spa area - there are two relaxation beds in the same room as the sauna and steam room. If youre not into those, it can be a bit awkward lying there with others watching. Still, overall, Id give this place a solid 10/10! Thanks so much for making our anniversary extra special. Well definitely be booking again soon!"
Jess - Feb 2020
"We really enjoyed our stay here. The lodges are br and new and in excellent condition, making it a comfortable base. It's close to a main road, but we wish there were more trees around, especially since there aren't many nearby walks from the site. Still, a lovely spot for exploring locally!"
Lucy - Jan 2020
"We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge, it was right up our street. The facilities are honestly top-notch, couldnt fault them. The only minor hiccup was the shower in the main bathroom-it was way too hot and we couldnt turn the temperature down, which was a bit of a pain. The bath was fine though, since we could mix hot and cold easily. We did think the price was a bit steep compared to other places, but overall, it was a lovely experience. Wed definitely consider returning, just maybe bring some extra patience with the shower!"
Holly - Jan 2020
"Overall, pretty good experience. A couple of tall glasses were missing when we arrived, but they arrived within an hour. One morning, the electric tripped, but maintenance sorted it quickly. The place is spacious and cosy too."
James - Dec 2019
"Really enjoyed the stay"
Ella - Oct 2019
"We really enjoyed our stay overall. The lodges were spotlessly clean, modern and well-equipped. The spa, restaurant and leisure facilities all added to a lovely trip."
Charlie - Sep 2019
"While the overall stay was okay, we found the sofas a bit disappointing. At 57, they felt more like narrow benches rather than comfy loungers. For a place claiming to be a premier lodge, Id expect better seating comfort. Wouldnt rush back just for that."
Anna - Apr 2019
"The lodge was spacious, clean and very modern. The park was also clean and the children loved the facilities. The kids jet skis and arts and crafts sessions were a hit!"
Stevie - Aug 2022
"We had a lovely time."
Nynette - Aug 2022
"Everything was amazing. The spa was really good. We had an amazing time. The activities on offer are brilliant, all of the staff were amazing. We will definitely be returning. The only thing we did say was that to maybe have a kiddies disco on just for an hour would be really good."
Greg - Aug 2022
"Not informed of wayer cuts to be aware of problems around and prepare"
Gladys - Aug 2022
"From the minute we arrived, we were impressed with the high standard of customer service. Reception staff really welcoming. Our lodge was beautiful, very high spec throughout, decorated beautifully. Fully equipped kitchen so everything you need if you did self catering. I dont cook when im on holiday, toast for breakfast is my limit ... so we used the restaurant every day we were there. The food was exceptional, a good menu to suit all tastes. The restuarant/bar staff were very good, very helpful and friendly. Reasonable prices on food and drinks too which can be unusual in these sort of places. We had a really lovely stay, explored the areas surrounding. The gym was a welcome surprise, really up to date equipment and was used during our stay. Would definitely return here."
Julie - Aug 2022
"Second time we’ve been now & we absolutely love it!"
Scott - Aug 2022
"Very comfortable lodges and lovely spa facilities."

Attractions Near Norfolk Woods Resort and Spa

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Norfolk Woods Resort and Spa. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 16 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 17 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 22 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 25 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 25 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 29 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
Natureland Seal Sanctuary - PE25 1DB
about 32 Miles
Awarded the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year award in recent years this fun day out is recommended. You can see seals and penguins, as well as other animals in the popular pets corner.  Feeding time for the seals and penguins is the real highlight of the day. Entertainment, education and conservation are the main aims of this attraction. Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known worldwide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres.
Ickworth House, Park & Gardens - IP29 5QE
about 32 Miles
The National Trust Ickworth House, Park & Gardens is a Beautiful 1800 acre country estate with many attractions including a fantastic adventure playground for the children and a range of nature trails which the whole family will enjoy. The site also has a family friendly cycle route a gift shop and a small café
National Horse Racing Museum - CB8 8JL
about 32 Miles
This is a museum with a difference and a must see if you are into horse racing.  You can take guided tours around the museum or choose to wander round yourself admiring the exhibits.  New for 2010 is a Junior Fun Tour which is ideal for children.  Simply ask the gallery staff for a Fun Tour pack when you enter the museum and kids can answer questions and spot clues and tips on the way round.  One of the most popular recent exhibitions is the Thoroughbred: State of the Art exhibition in Gallery 5 on until 31st October.  Check out their websites for the latest exhibitions.
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 36 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
