About Norfolk Woods Resort and Spa

Norfolk Woods Resort & Spa is a luxury lodge park which offers a range of spacious lodges with hot tubs ideal for a special family getaway. There's also a central area which contains a handy shop, indoor heated pool, gym and the spa itself. There's also a bar and restaurant here too.

Large family lodges with hot tubs

You can choose from a range of lodges at Norfolk Woods that are ideal for families of any size. Multiple lodges can be booked for larger groups. The lodges here are large, modern and open-plan with plenty of natural light and some great design features that make for a wow-factor when you first step in.

The lodges are spaced well and you won't feel like you're on top of anyone. Outside you'll find a family-size hot tub set to the perfect temperature when you arrive. Enjoy watching the stars or just unwinding with a favourite drink.

Making a splash

One of the big plus points to Norfolk Woods Resort is its large indoor heated pool which children will really enjoy during their break. It's open all year round and has a separate area for younger children with lots of fun things for them to play with, or just do their own thing.

Keeping fit during your holiday

If you like to keep fit while you're on holiday, Norfolk Woods has a large fitness studio with plenty of equipment that will suit all levels of experience. It's not tucked away in some cupboard like you'll find in some hotels and resorts. This is a great fitness suite with lots of resistance machines and free weights.

Treat yourself at the spa

As well as relaxing in your hot tub, there's a choice of treatments available at the onsite spa, which offers

Family activities on site

While staying at Norfolk Woods Resort, your family can take part in a range of memorable activities from staples like Archery, to the pure insanity of the Body Zorbs, where you go inside a kind of giant beachball and run around smashing into your friends and family. Kids will love the pool-based activities too like the Water Walkerz and the Sea Scooters.

There's also a specially designed kids playpark on site with slides, playhouses and plenty to keep children from around 3 - 10 occupied.

"Did nt meet our expectations overall would nt go back. Only plus was lodge was lovely and so was the hot tub."
Sarah - Aug 2020
"Loved it. Highly recommend it"
Christine - Aug 2020
"Difficult to say as Covid restrictions caused issues...no restaurant, no instructions for equipment, availability and acces so limited ...so not good vfm"
Steven - Aug 2020
"Lodge itself very spacious with a good layout. Could have been cleaner in the corners. The location just wasnt great for us - too much road noise."
Rebecca - Aug 2020
"Modern and very clean."
Shirley - Aug 2020
"Accommodation first class"
Geoffrey - Aug 2020
"Would like to visit again when fully operational.

Weather was good so we good make use of location. However, limitations on site itself.

The quote late check in and early departure made break feel considerably shorter."
Carran - Aug 2020
"Lovely week away, lodge was very modern and comfortable, the park itself was lovely and quiet with great pool and splash park for the kids, would definitely return!"
Helen - Aug 2020
"Lovely lodge with great fixtures and fittings. The only thing that let it down was the cleanliness, especially given the current circumstances. Some high touch items had been removed but this wasnt a big deal for us.

The hot tub was lovely and hot on the first night which was great!

The lodge park has a lot of lodges on site and it can feel a bit cramped in areas. The lodge park also backs on to the A47 and you can hear road noise both day and night.

The park facilities were great and well looked after. We were able to book time slots for the pool and a table outside for bar drinks. Overall we had a great holiday and would happily return."
Confirmed Guest - Aug 2020
"Lovely and beautiful place for a weekend away"
Priscilla - Aug 2020
"Lovely family holiday at this resort. The location enabled us to travel to a number of attractions in Norfolk which we loved. We would definitely recommend this lodge."
Ursula - Aug 2020
"Had the best holiday! So good to enjoy facilities that were not over crowded."
Debra - Aug 2020
"Great holiday and lovely well kept site."
Karen - Aug 2020
"Restaurant is delivery only at the moment which is fine and quite understandable.
However, our food got mixed up with another lodge and ours was delivered to them and vice versa, by the time we got our food it was quite cold"
Kevin - Aug 2020
"Great lodge, lovely inside, nice decor and modern.
Scored slightly lower on the cleanliness as we had to request for the decking to be cleaned, but the staff were great and did this straight away. Great to have a smart TV and fantastic wifi! Great break and nice change of scenery"
Heather - Aug 2020
"Mannington was a lovely lodge. However the dishwasher was broken on arrival, but it was mended very promptly. The only downside was the price which must have been taking advantage of the high demand due to holidays abroad being cancelled."
Carolyn - Aug 2020
"I have already said how much we enjoyed staying in the lodge and will certainly recommend it to others."
Sylvia - Jul 2020
"Very good only complaint full ashtray left on decking table from previous occupants"
Jane - Jul 2020
"Excellent value for money experience, restaurant not open because of restrictions but used their takeaway service and the food was exceptional and filling."
Peter - Jul 2020
"Lovely lodge.
It would of been handy to of had a fan available or a ceiling fan in the living room as on a hot day with the full glass windows it can get very hot.

Also it would of been even more better for pets if they had access to a secure glass area attached to the lodge."
Lisa - Jul 2020
"lovely cabin clean and modern
Very disappointed that the welcome pack wasn't available had to rush to the on site shop to get milk etc with only 10 mins to spare before closing should have been told about the pack during the booking process"
Stephen - Jul 2020
"Unable to review the restaurant as it remained closed due to Covid-19, however we did have a takeaway which was ok if you dont want to cook but would recommend a trip to Waitrose in Swaffham to pick something nice to cook.
The on site shop is expensive and poorly stocked, however its ok if you have forgotten something, you may just be lucky that its in stock.
Overall the the holiday was lovely, the lodge was lovely and the staff that we came into contact with were friendly. We would recommend."
Linda - Jul 2020
"Great lodge and clean with everything needed. Wine rack nice touch."
Ashley - Jul 2020
"on the whole the accommodation was good however some items were missing from kitchen and no instruction booklets for kitchen appliances (Maybe due to covid restrictions)
A little cramped in the living room perhaps a reconfiguration would be advantageous in this area as the seating is too near the TV."
Anne - Jul 2020
"Excellent days spent at this site. Accommodation is exceptionally good, site is well maintained and very clean"
Alan - Jul 2020
"The proximity to the main road meant that it was noisy and made the holiday less relaxing."
Ian - Jul 2020
"Outside area was a little dirty , cobwebs & lots of dead flys on decking , a broom in lodge would be handy to keep tidy , apart from that it was spot on"
Leanne - Jul 2020
"The lodge was spacious, clean and very modern. The park was also clean and the children loved the facilities. The kids jet skis and arts and crafts sessions were a hit!"
Stevie - Aug 2022
"We had a lovely time."
Nynette - Aug 2022
"Everything was amazing. The spa was really good. We had an amazing time. The activities on offer are brilliant, all of the staff were amazing. We will definitely be returning. The only thing we did say was that to maybe have a kiddies disco on just for an hour would be really good."
Greg - Aug 2022
"Not informed of wayer cuts to be aware of problems around and prepare"
Gladys - Aug 2022
"From the minute we arrived, we were impressed with the high standard of customer service. Reception staff really welcoming. Our lodge was beautiful, very high spec throughout, decorated beautifully. Fully equipped kitchen so everything you need if you did self catering. I dont cook when im on holiday, toast for breakfast is my limit ... so we used the restaurant every day we were there. The food was exceptional, a good menu to suit all tastes. The restuarant/bar staff were very good, very helpful and friendly. Reasonable prices on food and drinks too which can be unusual in these sort of places. We had a really lovely stay, explored the areas surrounding. The gym was a welcome surprise, really up to date equipment and was used during our stay. Would definitely return here."
Julie - Aug 2022
"Second time we’ve been now & we absolutely love it!"
Scott - Aug 2022
"Very comfortable lodges and lovely spa facilities."

Attractions Near Norfolk Woods Resort and Spa

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Norfolk Woods Resort and Spa. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 16 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 17 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 22 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 25 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 25 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 29 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
Natureland Seal Sanctuary - PE25 1DB
about 32 Miles
Awarded the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year award in recent years this fun day out is recommended. You can see seals and penguins, as well as other animals in the popular pets corner.  Feeding time for the seals and penguins is the real highlight of the day. Entertainment, education and conservation are the main aims of this attraction. Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known worldwide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres.
Ickworth House, Park & Gardens - IP29 5QE
about 32 Miles
The National Trust Ickworth House, Park & Gardens is a Beautiful 1800 acre country estate with many attractions including a fantastic adventure playground for the children and a range of nature trails which the whole family will enjoy. The site also has a family friendly cycle route a gift shop and a small café
National Horse Racing Museum - CB8 8JL
about 32 Miles
This is a museum with a difference and a must see if you are into horse racing.  You can take guided tours around the museum or choose to wander round yourself admiring the exhibits.  New for 2010 is a Junior Fun Tour which is ideal for children.  Simply ask the gallery staff for a Fun Tour pack when you enter the museum and kids can answer questions and spot clues and tips on the way round.  One of the most popular recent exhibitions is the Thoroughbred: State of the Art exhibition in Gallery 5 on until 31st October.  Check out their websites for the latest exhibitions.
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 36 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
