Old Buckenham Country Park is a delightful hidden gem within 32-acres of beautiful Norfolk countryside. With two natural lakes at the heart of this tranquil parkland you’ll feel relaxed and have a great base to explore all of the qualities that Norfolk has to offer. The location is beautifully landscaped and also has a quirky café and seating area that overlooks one of the natural lakes, as well as a children’s outdoor play area that allows you to enjoy a coffee and a cake whilst the kids play. Old Buckenham Country Park also offers bike hire which you can book at reception! During open season for campers they host a number of family-friendly events and also have a number of foodie nights including stone-baked pizza on Tuesday evenings, a Friday night in-house grill, Saturday street food with independent vendors, weekend breakfasts and Sunday roast delights!

The collection of superb brand-new lodges takes this fantastic location to the next level, all designed in a modern and contemporary fashion with a few additional cool quirky elements to add some extra va va voom to your holiday experience!

If you’re looking to venture out and about there is plenty to see and do, for instance you can join the group of friendly cyclists for a ride out on a Thursday, or you could take a Broadland hot air balloon ride which fly from the site allowing you to see where you are staying and surrounding area from the skies! There are plenty of local walks where you can enjoy the stunning Norfolk scenery and you can take a pit stop at one of the many local pubs and restaurants. Don’t forget the fine city of Norwich is just a 17-mile drive away, Snetterton race track is only 4 miles away and the beautiful Norfolk broads and coastline are just over an hour’s drive from Old Buckenham Country Park.

This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out. You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything. Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day. This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended. Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.

We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals. Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas. On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks. Hot food is available over lunch times.

The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region. Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.

The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.

Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed. The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.

Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY

This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October. The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals. If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust. We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
