Weybread Lakes Lodges Reviews

"Did not see any staff so can't give a true score to them, excellent lodges Bed was a bit hard for us so if you prefer a softer mattress take a topper, fishing was very good and the surroundings are very peaceful, would definitely go again"
Kevin - Aug 2022
"Lovely lodge Bit disappointed with hot tub as jets didn’t all work. Apart from that all good"
Andrew - Aug 2022
"Lovely accommodation. Excellent facilities. Great location. The only downside is that no music can be played outside at all, ie. when in the hottub or using sun loungers. But to be fair, we didn't really miss it."
Kevin - Jul 2022
"If you want a peaceful relaxing stress free holiday then this is the place to go!! The lodge was clean and very well equipped. The hot tub and sauna are well maintained and very private - loved it xx"
Julie - Jul 2022
"Did not see the staff as they only come as and when needed"
Anthony - Jul 2022

Sally - Jun 2022
"Second visit to Willow Lodge, which is our favourite, out of all the various lodges we have stayed at throughout the country. Well set out, very well appointed and great location on the lake. Some great restaurants in the area, and well positioned for exploring."
Kev - Jun 2022
"peaceful coupes retreat"
Kenneth - Jun 2022
"We had a very peaceful short break and didn’t leave the lodge so the surrounding area didn’t matter. We had no reason to speak to the staff as they had left brilliant instructions for the facilities and everything was ready for us and in full working order. We don’t have a single complaint.."
Gemma - Jun 2022
"We stayed in the Kingfisher lodge and arrived immediately after getting married. Our lodge was just beautiful. We were after luxury and we definitely got it! We also ordered a Tesco delivery and the driver found us with ease. The weather was perfect too but even if it wasn’t it still would’ve been a great break away!"
Anna - Jun 2022
"Wonderful simple booking in and out process coupled with a beautiful lodges and location"
Andrew - Jun 2022
"Break was lovely our second time Peaceful."
Paula - May 2022
"It’s been over 10 years since we last stayed at Weybread and were a little worried that things might not still be as good as we remembered but we shouldn’t have worried in fact the way the site has matured made it even more private and the wildlife more evident we had baby rabbits and a deer on our decking it was marvellous to see. Only thing missing was the fresh eggs"
Lorna - May 2022
"Everything was as it should be did not see the host at all thort they would just called to check everything was ok and"
Kevin - May 2022
"Would definitely recommend Maple Lodge first lodge on lake and very private"

Christopher - Aug 2020
"Willow Lodge is amazing, everything you need and the setting is so quiet. Would definitely book again & soon. Indoor sauna, hot tub outside. Perfect."
Barry - Aug 2020
"Kingfisher Lodge was absolutely perfect. We were warned that some of the furnishing would be removed to make it less of an infection risk, but we honestly couldn't notice. Hot tub is well enclosed for privacy, but would have been nice to have been able to look out across the lake whilst in there, but would rather be too private than not at all."
Verified Guest - Jul 2020
"We wanted a peaceful week away from the madness. This ticked all the boxes."
David - Jul 2020
"A brilliant, relaxing holiday. I can't wait to return!"
Claire - Jul 2020

We will certainly return.

Gene - Mar 2020
"We stayed in the Heron Lodge and it was simply amazing. The lodge is very modern, cosy and inviting. The lodges are well spaced apart so you have complete privacy. The outside sauna and jacuzzi are wonderful and and so very relaxing. The views of the lake are beautiful and it was nice to sit out with a coffee in the morning watching all the ducks. This was one of the best weekends we've had and will definitely visit again."
Karen - Feb 2020
"a lovely time as always"
Alan - Feb 2020
"Would recommend if privacy and peace and quiet is what you are after"
Suzanne - Jan 2020
"Excellent Lodges have stayed in Maple, Kingfisher & Heron, excellent standard in all, just a beautiful place to stay we return every year"
Kerrie - Jan 2020
"Larch lodge truly has the wow factor. From the second you walk through the door you smell the wood of the lodge. The whole lodge is of exceptional standard, the kitchen is fully fitted with a dishwasher and washer/dryer, and everything you will need to cook, and enough glasses of all sizes so you don't have to wash up very often. The living area has a very comfortable leather sofa, and a large TV with a sound system, which enabled you to have music in all rooms including the indoor sauna. The bathroom had a massive wow factor, with a large roll top bath, and a double shower and sinks. The bed was so comfortable with French doors leading onto the decking with a sunken very private hot tub. There is also a dining area with sun loungers at the front of the lodge, which overlooks the lake. A credit to the owners."
Keith - Jan 2020
"We like to get a cabin break a couple of times a year and this one did not disappoint. Lovely lodge and very private outdoor space with the hot tub which we used every day. Very peaceful location and cabins are all distanced enough for privacy. Lovely tranquil setting and perfect mon-fri escape."
Suzanne - Nov 2019
"Overall a perfect relaxing lodge, the only down side would be the Wifi that doesnt connect. We didnt let that effect our stay, the lodge was perfectly clean and welcoming."
Neil - Nov 2019
"Fantastic cabin and surroundings. Would like to live there"
Heidi - Nov 2019
"Amazing place, will visit again"
George - Oct 2019
"This was our first visit to the lodges and hopefully well be back next year. The whole place was very well laid out, warm and spacious and the bathroom in particular, is spectacular. The leather sofa was showing signs of wear but still incredibly comfy and everywhere was spotless with a very well appointed kitchen. Could easily stay for a lot longer....."
Carole - Oct 2019
"Marvelous place peaceful and quiet. Can not wait to return!"
Tracey - Sep 2019
"Fantastic place! We never saw any staff but the information left was very helpful and the Lodge was fantastic, We will 100% be back again :-)"
Steven - Sep 2019
"Our third visit and we will be back"
Patricia - Sep 2019
"Our fourth visit to willow, the lodge is well equipped with everything you have at home, the view from the lounge and bedroom are across the lake, which is a habitat for ducks of several types. The lake is well stocked with fish and each lodge has its own fishing platform, normal coarse fishing tackle is what you need to have a good day or week of fishing, don't use extremely light tackle."
Nigel - Sep 2019
"Amazing break away, loved every minute. So clean and tidy would 100% go back"
Harriet - Sep 2019
"Heron Lodge is beautiful its one of the newer lodges of the 5. Equipped to a modern high standard. Loved the tall glass windows in lounge that bring the outside in. Hot tub is great and very secluded. They also have a Harrell sauna but we did not use this. Loved that music can be pumped through all rooms in the lodge. You can have a relaxing bath whilst listening to tunes great."
Emma - Sep 2019
"We love the Kingfisher Lodge, it is clean, comfortable and well designed and provisioned. We find the bed comfortable and like the bathroom. We love the outdoor areas, including the hot tub and sauna, but especially the decking area, where we can sit and read and relax. Later in the evening we enjoy stargazing on clear nights as it has such fantastic dark skies compared to home. The parking is good and the site is easy to drive around."
David - Sep 2019
"No one will be disappointed with the lodge. We will definitely return."
Jill - Aug 2019
"Highly recommend and would like to return for another stay"
Jeanette - Aug 2019

Attractions Near Weybread Lakes Lodges

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Weybread Lakes Lodges. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 12 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
Suffolk Owl Sanctuary - IP28 6HX
about 14 Miles
This amazing owl sanctuary located in the Stowmarket area of Suffolk should be high on your list of places to visit in the area.  The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region.  The sanctuary also raises awareness of owl conservation throughout the UK.  Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.
Africa Alive - NR33 7TF
about 17 Miles
Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park - NR32 4TZ
about 20 Miles
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 20 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 23 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 24 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Ickworth House, Park & Gardens - IP29 5QE
about 29 Miles
The National Trust Ickworth House, Park & Gardens is a Beautiful 1800 acre country estate with many attractions including a fantastic adventure playground for the children and a range of nature trails which the whole family will enjoy. The site also has a family friendly cycle route a gift shop and a small café
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN

if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 38 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
National Horse Racing Museum - CB8 8JL
about 38 Miles
This is a museum with a difference and a must see if you are into horse racing.  You can take guided tours around the museum or choose to wander round yourself admiring the exhibits.  New for 2010 is a Junior Fun Tour which is ideal for children.  Simply ask the gallery staff for a Fun Tour pack when you enter the museum and kids can answer questions and spot clues and tips on the way round.  One of the most popular recent exhibitions is the Thoroughbred: State of the Art exhibition in Gallery 5 on until 31st October.  Check out their websites for the latest exhibitions.
