Woolverstone Marina Lodge Park Reviews

"When booking Maple for our holiday, we were impressed by what was on offer so we were extremely delighted upon arrival to discover that it even better than we had hoped for. There were so many extra little touches and things provided for our stay that it was like a home from home. We would highly recommend this beautiful lodge ????????"
Kelly - Aug 2022
"Had a lovely break here, lovely surroundings and beautiful lodge."
Sue - Jul 2022
"Great location very peaceful and relaxing, the view from the marina was lovely"
Leigh - Jul 2022
"Lovely accommodation, spacious, clean and modern. Good size deck and parking for 2. Nice walks in the woods for my dog. Peaceful location but you have everything you need within 10-15 minutes drive. Ipswich old town is pretty and there are all the major supermarkets. In the next village, Chelmondiston there is a really good Chinese 'laws cottage' (cash only) Jimmy's farm and wildlife park was a really good trip out and its dog friendly. On site restaurant had a good selection of food including gluten free and vegan"

"Lodge was very spacious, modern and very clean. Will definitely be back."
Ian - Jul 2022
"Great time lovely walks"
Ian - Jul 2022
"Quite location, ideal for getting away from the everyday hustle and bustle of normal life, the lodge was amazing like a tardis, short stroll to the marina & restaurant 10/10"
Glen - Jul 2022
"This is a great place to go for a relaxing break there only a few lodges set in a woodland with a short walk to the marina. Location is a little out of the way to visit tourist attractions but for the long weekend we did we managed to find a couple of places local"
Craig - Jul 2022
"Beautiful lodge in very peaceful location, they are installing new lodges so work is going on during the day time, but usually stopped by 4pm, we had a few water disruptions, so would advise buying in some bottled water as the drinking water wasn’t great ( discoloured) think this is due to the works going on. We had a few drinks at the marina bar / restaurant, prices a little higher than a local pub but to be expected. Several nice pubs just a few mins drive that serve good food & there is a handy little shop in the next village that has a butchers & lots of nice treats as well as essentials. Suffolk food hall & jimmys farm also close by. Good Chinese takeaway in the next village but CASH ONLY. & closest cash point is about 10 mins away."
Claire - Jul 2022
"Lovely location and lodges."
Chris - Jul 2022
"Overall an excellent holiday."
Verified Guest - Aug 2020
"I was very impressed with the oak lodge, super clean, everything up to date and so much storage. Nothing to fault at all about the lodge. Only negatives about the whole experience was we were not told that we wouldn't receive our local supplies, so in my eyes a little voucher for the restaurant instead would of been nice. Only other negative was whilst the lodge area was lovely there is not much to do there, so be prepared to travel out of woolvestone."
Sonny - Aug 2020
"Great holiday location. Kids had an absolute blast and adults had loads of fun too."
Rachel - Aug 2020
"Lovely lodge. But we did move the furniture so that we could see through the window from the dinning table.
Needs some hooks on bathroom and bedroom doors"
Gregory - Aug 2020
"Great bank holiday. Beautifully clean and comfortable. V relaxing with helpful staff at checkin and st the onsite marina restaurant."
Freddie - Aug 2020
"Stayed during Covid which made it feel very different from previous stays in the past. I understand that things have had to be removed but only having 4 of everything i.e cups, plates, knives, forks etc made it a chore to have to keep washing them up between meals. Only 3 dishwasher tablets were provided so over a 3 night stay meant that we had to do this."
Alison - Aug 2020
"Its such a luxury lodge and extremely spacious. The hot tub is brilliant and what you pay for really!! The location was nice and felt private too. I feel like it could have been cleaner as lots of cobwebs and dust and spiders!! Showers very weak but not important. Would recommend that a walk trail put in place as lovely location but no place to go for a nature walk."
Libby - Mar 2020
"An amazing place to stay"
Sharon - Feb 2020
"Brilliant weekend break for our whole family - so happy we could bring our dog Prince
Thqbks for having us :)"
Lorraine - Feb 2020
"absolutely brilliant, I will definitely be back!"
Alice - Feb 2020
"Great relaxing time spent chilling with the family over the New Year."
Sam - Jan 2020
"could do with side tables for our drinks"
Christine - Jan 2020
"Excellent - nice and cosy. Perhaps a second frying pan in a lodge for 8 would be good. The ramp down from the front door was very slippery first thing on a frosty day. However, would definitely recommend."
Verified Guest - Dec 2019
"Wonderful time had with our grandsons plenty of room for lounging and playing and a 49inch tv to watch all the favourite
Programmes."
Derek - Dec 2019
"Had all we could ask for in a late November Monday to Friday break."
Sean - Nov 2019
"Excellent modern lodge. Really liked the welcome pack and the dogs welcome pack."
Carl - Nov 2019
"You will not be disappointed!"
Amanda - Nov 2019
"The Fern lodge is great, very comfortable, very clean and had all mod cons including a washing machine which was very useful.

Yes there are insects but we did not experience anything overwhelming and you are in the middle of woods so it is to be expected."
Sallyanne - Oct 2019
"would happily stay again in the future."
Sheila - Sep 2019
"Fab. So relaxing and very quiet. The Marina was good and excellent views.."
Sally - Sep 2019

Karen - Sep 2019
"We've stayed here a few times and have loved it every time. The lodges are like a home from home (but tidier!) and the surroundings are beautiful at any time of year.
The staff are always friendly and helpful and I would recommend staying here whether you want to just lounge around or get out and enjoy the best of Suffolk.
The hot tub is an added bonus and the surroundings are perfect for chilling out."

Suffolk Owl Sanctuary - IP28 6HX

This amazing owl sanctuary located in the Stowmarket area of Suffolk should be high on your list of places to visit in the area.  The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region.  The sanctuary also raises awareness of owl conservation throughout the UK.  Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.

This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.

Adventure Island - SS1 2AU

Adventure Island costs nothing to enter and there is an array of rides and attractions on offer. The Big Adventure rides include the Dragon's Claw, Rage and Vortex.  For younger children there is just as much fun on offer with rides like the Cow Jump, Over the Hill and Dragon. Mini Rides include the Choo Choo Train, Crooked House and Flying Jumbos.  When you have ran out of energy you could have a wander round the gift shop and perhaps buy a souvenir of your day.
