"Lime waterside pet was very clean and has what you need for a short break. It has doors facing the pond which some lodges waterside didnt have. Small deck, shame it had no gate for dogs access though. Lovely short walk opposite lodge for dogs to roam. Hot tub was a good temp and it stayed warm when using it unlike others we have had. It would be better if there was a view from the hot tub. Lodge 70 would have had a nice view onto a small field and woods but theres a row of cars allowed to park there."

"Really lovely experience!!!!"
"Lovejy cabin, everything you needed. The hot tub was checked every day & was great.I would rebook but would go for a bigger cabin next time."
"We had a great time at Clumber Park. The accommodation was amazing, we staying in a pet friendly lodge and it was super clean and lovely. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location and lots to explore. Cleanliness was great, staff attended to check the hot tub multiple times a day. Recommendation - as we came with two young children, would be great to have a play ground but they loved it nonetheless."
"Our Clumber Park Lodges review: The lodge was really roomy and spotless, had everything we needed for the week. The hot tub was definitely a highlight!"
"We had a really pleasant stay at the lodge. Its perfect for a small group, with plenty of space for us and our dog. The location is great, with sunlight pouring in all day long, which made everything feel bright and welcoming. The kitchen was well-stocked and easy to use and the bedrooms, though cosy, were super warm during late March. Would definitely stay again!"
"Apart from no WiFi or non working tv to a degree ok"
"Great stay! The place was spotless and in a lovely spot too."
"Really enjoyed our stay, the place was spotless and affordable."
"Great value, definitely worth checking out."
"Really enjoyed our stay, the lodge was cosy and nicely decorated, perfect for relaxing."
"Really impressed with the service, everything was smooth. Only downside is the confusing signs to get there, which is a shame."
"Overall, we had a lovely stay. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed, which was great. We did have a couple of small issues, but the office was quick to respond. The sofas could do with a refresh, but were already planning to come back later this year. Cheers!"
"Really enjoyed our stay, though the electrical box in the wardrobe was a bit noisy."
"The location is spot on and the place really suits what we need. Just wish the WiFi was more reliable and they had a better bar selection. Still, looking forward to our fourth visit!"
"Loved this lodge , spacious, comfortable, homely, beds were comfortable really couldn't find fault really enjoyed our stay and boiked to go back ,"
"We had a fantastic weekend here, perfect for a peaceful anniversary getaway. Highly recommend this place!"
"We stayed at the lodge recently and honestly, it wasnt great. The kids' bathroom had a really bad smell, which was a bit off-putting. Some windows and the patio door didnt fit properly, leaving big gaps and the main en suite toilet seat was loose. The TV only picked up 5 HD channels, which was a letdown. On the bright side, the hot tub was amazing and well-maintained, though adding some flags by the steps would make it safer. Still, not worth the hassle overall."
"Really good, would recommend"
"We stayed at this lodge recently and honestly, it was a pretty nice size with decent facilities. The arrival was a bit of a hiccup since it wasnt ready at 4, but we just waited while the cleaner finished up. It was scorching that day and I ended up stepping into a bit of a bubbly mess near the entrance - not ideal! The bathroom sink was blocked too, but maintenance sorted it quickly once we reported it. Despite those little issues from the previous guests, we really enjoyed our time away. Would go again!"
"The cottage was really charming and in a lovely spot, perfect for escaping the busy city. The hot tub was a big hit! Owners were super friendly but not overbearing. Theyve got it spot on!"
"We had a fantastic stay at this little gem! The setting is so peaceful and private, yet the owners are super friendly and always there if you need anything. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day cycling around. Only thing to note is the noise from Stansted flights-didn't bother us much after a while, but it might bother some. Overall, a lovely spot that wed definitely recommend for anyone looking to unwind. Well be coming back for sure!"
"We had a lovely stay at this place, nestled in such a peaceful and private spot. The owners were super friendly and always ready to help if needed, but it still felt like our own little escape. The hot tub was a real highlight after cycling around all day-it was just what we needed. A heads up though, the cottage is right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but if you're sensitive to noise, its worth considering. All in all, a great break!"
"We had such a lovely stay at Goddard's Mead! Rob and Sharon truly put a lot of effort into beautifully restoring this historic place and it shows. They made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived, along with Bonnies friendly greeting. The location is perfect for exploring Essex, especially if you enjoy wandering around charming villages like Thaxted and soaking up the history and architecture. Definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway!"
"Overall, we had a decent stay at the lodge. Sure, on arrival, there was an odd smell, but that was quickly sorted once we aired the place out. It was tidy and well-kept, though we mainly ate out during the weekend, so the kitchen wasnt used much-just the kettle and fridge. Be aware, theres no WiFi and network coverage can be patchy in spots, so plan accordingly."
"We really enjoyed our stay. The lodge was stunning and felt very roomy, which was perfect for us. The WiFi wasnt fantastic, but honestly, that was a bonus - it meant we could truly disconnect. The heating was a bit temperamental, possibly on a timer, but the sofas and beds were super comfy. The only thing missing was some info about hiring board games for the kids. All in all, one of the best lodges weve stayed in!"
"We had a fantastic stay! The lodge was spotless and the layout felt really spacious. Beds were super comfy and there was plenty of storage. The outdoor area was lovely and the hot tub was just brilliant!"
"We needed a little escape for walking the dog and it couldnt have been better. Great place to stay, nearby pubs and restaurants and endless fields for off-road adventures. Honestly, the dog didnt want to leave!"
"We recently had a short getaway and honestly, we were really pleased with everything. The lodge was spotless and had all the utensils you could need, making it so easy to settle in. Its clear theyve thought about accessibility, even though we didnt require that ourselves, which was nice. The only downside was the beds - they werent super comfy, but still manageable. The location is stunning and we'd definitely return. All in all, a lovely break!"
"The accommodation was incredible clean and spacious. Loved it loved it"
"The lodges were clean and comfortable nice surroundings the grounds were well maintained"
"Fantastic lodge in even better surroundings, it was honestly more than we expected. Park is nice and quiet even with plenty people there, value for money in the cafe/bar in the shop where normally you’d expect to be over charged on site. Staff are fantastic and very attentive. Will definitely return."
"If your looking for a secluded get away then this is it. Amazing forestry around, close to clumber national park. Quiet location and absolutely serene and beautiful. The lodge was clean and tidy, perfect for a family of 4. Will be retuning
Thank you"
"Disappointed that no wifi in lodges."
"A very friendly welcoming holiday"
"Had great time"
"Lovely lodge in very peaceful surroundings. Great area for walking. Helpful, friendly staff."
"Found Clumber Park Lodges by chance, on a last minute deal, and we could not have been happier! the site is new, modern and well maintained. The lodges are clean, large and well equipped and the staff are very welcoming and helpful throughout the whole stay. The fact that the entire site is dog friendly everywhere is great and the surrounding areas are beautiful. We will definitely be going back!"
