"We had a fantastic weekend at this cottage! The welcome basket was a lovely surprise and the bed was honestly the most comfy weve ever slept in away from home. The host was really friendly and gave us all the info we needed. Plus, feeding the alpacas and cattle was such a treat. Highly recommend!"

"We loved staying at this adorable cottage! Its perfectly tucked away for peace but close enough to everything. The hot tub was fantastic and the underfloor heating kept us super cosy. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel right at home. Well be back soon for sure!"

Jessie - May 2025
"We had a fantastic stay! The house was really well kitted out and super cosy, which was perfect for a rainy December day. The bath was a treat and the shower was great too. Being near the flight path didnt bother us at all-dont let it put you off. Perfect spot for dogs that arent fans of fireworks, surrounded by nature. Thanks a lot, wed come back!"
Emily Carter - May 2025
"We had a fantastic weekend stay here! The place was just what we needed and we really enjoyed our time. The garden was perfect for the dogs and they were so happy, especially with the underfloor heating-Luna even came home with a strained tail from all the wagging! Definitely planning to return soon. Truly a great spot for us and the pups!"
James - May 2025

"We stayed at Goddard's Mead recently and were genuinely impressed. Rob and Sharon have done a lovely job transforming this historic place with such care and they made us feel really welcome-shoutout to Bonnie too! The location is perfect for exploring Essex, especially if you enjoy wandering around charming villages like Thaxted. Its a peaceful spot and wed definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfy, relaxing break. Well be back!"
Emma - May 2025
"We had a fantastic stay in this lovely place! The setting is truly peaceful and private, yet the owners are super friendly and available if you need anything. The hot tub was a real highlight after cycling all day - so relaxing! One thing to keep in mind, the cottage is right under the flight path at Stansted, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. We got used to it quickly, though and it didnt ruin our trip. Overall, a great find with a cozy vibe!"
James - May 2025
"We had a lovely stay at this cosy cottage tucked away on a working farm, yet it feels super private. Robert and Sharon are so welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home. The place is really spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that we didnt want to get out of! The garden is perfect for dog walks, fully enclosed and furnished nicely. We also enjoyed exploring the nearby walks and trying out some good local restaurants like The Star and The Maypole. Honestly, wed definitely recommend it!"
James - May 2025
"We had a really nice weekend stay here and definitely want to return later in the year."

"What a lovely stay! The owners were so welcoming and helpful, especially when the storm knocked out the power. The cottage was spotless and cosy and our dog loved the secure garden while we relaxed in the hot tub!"

"We had a lovely stay here. The cottage is perfect for relaxing, though be aware of night flights from Stanstead. The hot tub was definitely a highlight for us!"
Emma - May 2025
"We had a fantastic stay at this cosy little cottage! Everything you could possibly need was there, so we didnt have to bring much at all. The owners, Sharon and Rob, were super quick to respond if we had any questions. The welcome pack was a real touch of thoughtfulness, especially with all the info and menus. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was just perfect after a long day. Thanks for a lovely break, well definitely be back!"
Emma - May 2025
"We stayed in this lovely, well-kept house and honestly, it was perfect for a cosy winter break. The place was warm and inviting, especially on that rainy December day. The bath was just the right size and the shower was great too. Being near a flight path didnt bother us at all and its a fantastic spot if your dogs hate fireworks - so peaceful! Thanks a lot!"
Harriet - May 2025
"We had a fantastic weekend at this place! Everything we hoped for was there and we really enjoyed our stay. The garden was perfect for our dogs and they adored the underfloor heating - Luna was wagging her tail so much she strained it! Honestly, happy pups, happy owners. Well definitely be coming back soon. Love it!"
James - May 2025
"We loved staying here! The cottage is adorable and perfectly situated for some peace and quiet. The hot tub was a lovely bonus. Owners are really friendly and unobtrusive, just right!"
James - May 2025
"We had an amazing stay at this cosy cottage! The place is super well kept and had everything we needed. Loved the fact that there are plenty of dog walks right outside the door - our pups had a blast. The host was lovely, so friendly and communication was spot on. Meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a real treat. Well definitely return, great value for money! Highly recommend."
Emma Carter - May 2025
"We had a lovely stay at this charming spot tucked away in a peaceful, private area. The owners were super friendly and always on hand if we needed anything, but it still felt private enough to relax completely. The hot tub was a real highlight after long days out cycling. One thing to keep in mind, though, is that the cottage is right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didnt ruin our trip at all. Wed definitely come back!"
