Bude Coastal Resort Reviews

"We loved this cosy cottage - the log burner and hot tub made it extra special. Hosts were lovely, very peaceful spot. Can't wait to come back!"
Charlotte - Apr 2025
"We recently enjoyed a three-night stay at Bude Coastal Resort and honestly, it was fantastic for a quick getaway. The facilities are top-notch and the staff couldnt have been more friendly or helpful-they really made us and our dog feel right at home. The location is spot-on for a stroll to Bude seafront or a short drive to nearby sights. The lodge itself was stunning-modern, spotless, cosy and warm. Definitely recommend and were already planning to return soon!"
James - Mar 2025
"We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Bude Coastal Resort. Perfect for a small break away. Brilliant facilities, very helpful and friendly staff who made us and our 4 legged friend very welcome. Although we were very lucky with the weather the resort is a perfect location for a short walk to Bude seafront and easy drive to local attractions. The lodge was beautiful, very modern, super clean, warm and comfortable. Will recommend and 100% re visit for another stay."
Steven - Mar 2025
"The place was super tranquil and perfect for unwinding, plus our dog loved the enclosed garden!"
Harriet - Feb 2025
"Our Bude Coastal Resort review: We had a really nice stay overall. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, which made a big difference. The place itself is beautifully maintained and very clean - we loved the Sennen 3 lodge with its roof terrace and hot tub, which was spotless apart from a couple of minor things (nothing major!). The utility room was a great addition, super handy. The pool was lovely and the hot tub was kept very well, so we enjoyed relaxing there. The gyms a bit tired and could definitely do with a refresh, plus the machines werent online, so we couldnt join any classes. WiFi was a bit slow when busy and the roof terrace cushions were soaked due to recent weather - probably understandable, but the storage boxes were left open, so maybe staff could have checked that. Towels could have been more plentiful and a few extra exercise mats wouldnt go amiss. Also, we ended up cleaning the BBQ ourselves since it was left dirty, which was a bit of a pain. Still, these were just small things and wed happily return. The place really is lovely!"
Alex - Jan 2025
"Lovely place. Staff were excellent. Very clean site and accommodation was lovely. Stayed in the Sennen 3 with roof terrace and hot tub, lodge was spotless (apart from a couple of things listed below). Utility room an excellent addition. WiFi was a little slow peak at times, roof terrace cushions were very wet and not usable (probably due to recent storms and rain so fair enough in December but storage boxes containing them were laid on there backs with lids open so maybe staff could have checked). Gym was OK but could do with a refurb, machines not online so unable to take part in classes. Water cooler could have been topped up daily and more towels provided, also a few more exercise mats. Pool lovely, hot tub very clean and well maintained. Staff were very polite, helpful and approachable. Place really is lovely, but to call yourself luxury you need to tick all the boxes. Oh, and the last person to use the BBQ didn't clean it, so I had to myself. Wouldn't put me off visiting again though, just minor details."
Shane - Jan 2025
"Absolutely loved our stay, didnt want to go home!"
Emma - Dec 2024
"Beautiful Lodge, and we didnt want to leave."
Deb - Dec 2024
"We stayed in a charming upside-down cottage that had everything we needed for a quick getaway. Theres supposedly a laundrette on site, but we werent sure if it was for guests, which wouldve been good to know beforeh and. Overall, its one of the nicest places weve booked through Hoseasons, definitely recommend!"
Lucy - Dec 2024
"Lacks bath, shower only."

"Great lodge., hot tub was lovely, very high standard. Super pet friendly, even had a couple beds waiting for our doggo. And the beds were lush!!"
Dean - Oct 2024
"Beautiful spot, perfect for unwinding and catching up on everything. We really enjoyed our stay!"
Sam - Sep 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, lovely hosts and the jacuzzi was a fantastic bonus! Will return."
Holly - Aug 2024
"We had a really nice stay at this lovely little spot. The location is beautifully private, yet close enough to everything we needed. The owners were super friendly and made us feel welcome without intruding, which was great. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day cycling around. One thing to mention, the cottage is right under Stansteds flight path, so aircraft noise is noticeable. It didnt bother us too much once we got used to it, but if you're sensitive to noise, worth considering. Overall, a lovely place!"
Raj - Aug 2024
"We had a lovely time at Goddards Mead again. The cottage was perfect and we can't wait to return soon."
Michael - Aug 2024
"Great! Spacious. All mod cons. Storage. Hot tub. All fab! Would go again!"
Louise - Aug 2024
"We loved our stay! The peaceful vibe, friendly hosts and lovely enclosed garden made it perfect for us and our dog. The hot tub was a real treat!"
Laura - Aug 2024
"We recently spent a week here with our two little mini daschunds and honestly, it was a lovely stay. The village of Thaxted is charming and perfect for walks with the dogs, who made loads of new friends. The cottage itself is really cosy and the hot tub was a definite highlight - especially during the hot weather, as it was cooled down just right. The hosts were super friendly and made us feel welcome, even taking their dogs out to the fields daily. Watching the planes land near Stansted was quite interesting too. Wed definitely come back!"
Jess - May 2024
"Comfy bed, decent amenities, would stay again"
Claire Morgan - Mar 2024
"Comfort could be better, but overall not too bad."
Amelia Carter - Feb 2024
"We spent a great week here with our family of three, including our 2-year-old and honestly, it was lovely. They really thought of everything, like providing stair gates for the little one and keys to lock the windows, which was such a relief. The cottage was a perfect size for us, though we did move our daughter into the front room since the back was quite chilly at night due to the north-facing window. The swimming pool was an absolute highlight and the small playground was just right for toddlers. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the texting service was super handy. Wed love to come back, fingers crossed the prices drop a bit though!"
Charlie - Jan 2024
"Great family trip despite the terrible weather, we all had an awesome time together."
Mike - Jan 2024
"We really enjoyed our time here, the setting was lovely and the dogs loved exploring! Definitely recommend."
Alexandra - Dec 2023
"We loved this cosy cottage - the hot tub and log burner made it super relaxing. The hosts were really friendly. Cant wait to come back!"
Jessie - Aug 2023
"Looking forward to returning soon"
Jamie - Feb 2020
"Great stay overall, though it was a bit expensive during New Year!"
Mark - Dec 2019
"The decor was really charming and nailed that beach vibe. The food was decent but a bit pricey and honestly, nothing was cooked fresh here. Still, its a nice spot to relax."
Sarah - Jul 2019
"Third stay here. Always a good holiday. Ideal location for exploring the coast."
Margaret - May 2022
"Great location (15 minute walk into town- 20-25 mins to beach). Accommodation was super, comfy beds, good shower , everything we needed - whole apartment was warm and cosy."
Colin - Apr 2022
"Had a great stay, lovely place, would return."
Nicola - Apr 2022
"We had a lovely week. Family of three including a 2yr old. We were provided with stair gates for the little one and keys to lock the windows. Cottage was a perfect size for us. We had to move our daughter in to the front room as the back room was north facing and considerably colder overnight. The swimming pool was fantastic and the little playground was ideal for toddlers. Staff were fantastic. They have a texting service which worked very well in my opinion. We would love to return, but, would hope that the predicted prices drop in line with what we paid."
Matt - Oct 2021
"Lovely accommodation and great holiday. Everything was really clean and well maintained and the staff were brilliant. It is about 2 kilometers down into Bude and to the beach so a bit far to walk with beach gear but there is lots of beach parking. Access to the site is down a single track road which needs resurfacing but other than that it's brilliant and I would love to go back."
Janet - Sep 2021
"This was our first time in Bude and staying at this site made it even better. I would highly recommend this"
Janet - Sep 2021
"Amazing place to stay, would highly recommend ! Staff were helpful and friendly, everything was spotlessly clean and well maintained. Will definitely go back when visiting Cornwall."
Garry - Aug 2021
"Really relaxing, beach walking distance. Place was very clear. Enjoyed pool."
Parneet - Jul 2021
"Great place and the on site facilities well managed under current COVID conditions, staff at the facility are great and makes every request appear effortless, thanks to all"
Laura - Jul 2021
"We had a fabulous holiday, great accommodation and lovely pool. We would definitely like to go back again?"
