Date of stay: 16th March 2018
The holiday home was mainly clean & comfortable , but there were a few signs of wear & tear, & age. We were 'upgraded' from the home we booked, however, I think the only difference was that this one had a hot tub which we didn't need, or use. Inside it was like a caravan, but with proper sofa and cosy chairs, & proper dining table/chairs. Out on decking along with the hot tub, there was also a table & chairs.
There were all the items you would expect to be included as usual with a good holiday rental, plus a few extras.
Craig, Lincoln

The overall cleanliness was good. The sofa and chairs were a little grubby but clean enough to relax in. The welcome pack was great along with washing up liquid and tea towels.
The bedroom, made up bed and towels were spotless, which was a huge relief!

Date of stay: 27th May 2017
Site was small and clean - ideal for a couple - especially out of school holidays. Our cabin was up to the minute with lots of comfort. Great sized verander and charming views across the valley. Lots of things included like towels, extra pillows and linen. Nice little touches added including a "welcome pack" of teas and coffees, soaps, shower gel etc - just in case you didn't pack them! The only downside was having to wait until after 4pm to gain access - but it's only a little niggle!

Date of stay: 12th May 2017
Our holiday home was very nicely furnished and comfortable, the only down side was the beds the main beds was small and very lumpy and the twin beds were only really for children, the nobs on the gas stove were lose's, you had to be careful you did not turn them on if you bushed against them. The Hot Tub was great really made the holiday.
Stephanie, Southampton

Lodge was nicely positioned so we weren't over looked whilst in the hot tub. Lodge could do with new decor as it was a bit dated and shaby. Liked the open plan.

Date of stay: 6th August 2016
I stayed here for a week with my daughter and her friend, we had a lovely time, the lodge and the hot tub were faultless everything was very clean when we arrived and the staff were very helpful and welcoming, I will have no hesitation on staying here again or recommending Bossiney Bay and the Home Four VIP to anyone wishing to stay here. Tintagel is just a 10 minute way.. I would also recommend a walk up to St Nectans Glen Waterfall and a walk back down from there to Rocky Valley...

Small, quiet location, ideal as a base. Local restaurants provided excellent evening meals. Upon arrival The lodge was spotless as was the site. Easy parking complimented the set up. Could it have been better? Only if we had stayed longer. Definitely a revisit is planned.
Judy, Birmingham
Date of stay: 15th July 2016
We were in lodge 16 which was very clean and comfortable. Everything for self catering was in the lodge. The only thing missing was a clothes aired to hang towels on. The weather was sunny so couldn't hang towels outside.
Carol, Staffs
Date of stay: 9th July 2016
we enjoyed our holiday, we should have booked a bigger lodge as the 4 berth, one bedroom was small twin beds, which are ideal for children but not for adults. luckily we are both slim so we managed.

Fantastic lodge, not over looked and finished to a very high standard. Lovely layout, nice homely touches. Loved the board games! Perfect location for exploring North Cornwall. We had Lovely weekend, with my mum, husband and dog. The staff where very helpful and our lodge was clean, handy to Tintagell and Boscastle. The only thing we found is the single beds were a little small.
Martin, Stoke On Trent
Date of stay: 12th March 2016
The Lodge we satyed in for the week was amazing, very spacious and extremely clean and also to a very high specification, I could live in this permanently I was so impressed.
The site was quiet and very well maintained and our Lodge also had a guest book full of helpfull hints on places to visit. Overall I was very impressed with the whole package, 3 well sized bedrooms 1 with on suite and the ample kitchen had a full sized fridge freezer and also washer and dish washer. If I was to be very picky my only complaint would be the size of the TV in comparison to the size of the living area, it was about 27 inches and my method of connecting media to it was hampered by its mounting bracket, a nice 36 to 42 inch tv would have put the icing on the cake for me but as I say this is just me being very picky as I was more than pleased overall.
David, Yeovil

A chopping knife for vegetables would be useful.

Date of stay: 27th November 2015
Lovely lodge, plenty of room for the both of us and had everything we could ask for ! My only little niggle would be that the hot tub controls need updating because we didn't know what buttons we could push ! But lovely time thank you !! X

Date of stay: 14th November 2015
Love this resort been here twice now. We stayed at one of the holiday cottages on both occasions.
Our most recent visit, November 2015, we had our baby girl aged 3 months and the cottage we were put in had a problem with the heating which meant the cottage was too cold for our baby. One phone call to let them know, on a Sunday morning aswell, and within 5 minutes they came around to try to fix the heating. Unfortunately they couldn't fix the heating as needed a new part but we were given several options to ensure we had the most comfortable stay possible.
We really can't fault them, nothing was too much trouble and we had an excellent holiday!
Grace, Hereford
Date of stay: 7th November 2015
We had everything we wanted for our stay.

Double check before you go if you have a hot tub or not! Get confirmation in writing. Lovely lodge. Would highly recommend.
David, Atherton
Date of stay: 24th October 2015
Everything was perfect except the was quite a bit of grime on the the window frame when opened. This may not of been helped as it was next to a woodland area. Also the hottub maintenance didnt't alert us to their arrival which was a bit disturbing. Apart from that everything else was brilliant.

Date of stay: 25th July 2015
Lovely cottage, but could perhaps have done with a lick of paint before summer season. Very large and spacious though, plenty of room for a family of 4. Hot tub great after a day out, staff check it daily. Only one compliant is it could have been made to be a bit more private with a gazeboo style cover.

Garden / Hot tub could have been made more private (easily)

There's no BBQ facility - had to put a disposable on top of a flower pot!

See previous comments about the Wi-Fi - this seriously needs to be looked at!

Tintagel and Bossiney are very nice place and we would love to come again.Unfortunately the place where we staying is let down by the reception staff which is not very helpful and lack of information they rather like to chat to one another rather talking and being helpful to the costumers and also when I book the internet access it did not connect until the following day.

Cabins are to a high standard and very clean. Perfect for a cosy hot tub break.
Louise, Wokingham
Date of stay: 1st May 2015
the cabin was absolutely spotless, very clean, heats up quickly so nice and cosy and towels were provided which were great to use for the hot tub!!
As a couple we stayed in a cabin for 4 people due to having access to a hot tub- we felt that with 4 it would be cosy but enough room. There was two bedrooms one double bed and 2 singles. The double bed was so comfortable!! Had a great nights sleep every night and it's great that you also have a TV in the bedroom! I do feel however it would be nice to have free wifi as you have no signal at all.
We stayed off the main site directly opposite the mini park had around 10ish cabins situated- these were all full when we were there but you could not hear anything from anyone- lovely and quiet. At times we could see people in the hot tub but everyone just keeps to themselves. Oh and just to add the hot tubs are cleaned and temperature checked every morning- hey are very quiet so you do not even know they are outside the cabin- another positive! A great peaceful stay!! Definitely recommend

Amazing got tub
Decorations/ fittings very different to website pictures would have been nice to see pictures of it beforehand. Only problem was it was very noisy in the master bedroom when windy, no the wind itself but rattling from something on the outside wall

Absolutely fabulous holiday, lovely sit. Staff were extremely helpful. Hired cot and highchair from site and were surprised how little they cost for the length of our stay. We will definitely be returning again and would recommend this park to family and friends without a doubt

We checked in at Ocean Cove and had a warm welcome. We loved our Lodge which was new. Could have done with a brush to get rid of the cobwebs on the outside as everytime you opened the windows the spiders came in. lol.... That is the ONLY complaint I have. The location was amazing. A short walk to Tintagel or you could drive as lots of parking. Walk across the road and down the hill to the cove.
Our lodge was wonderfully furnished and very well equipped. With an amazing hot tub (we had lodge 19) In a great setting with trees, well landscaped gardens/kerbsides. It was a nice small site and very quiet.
We were the first to stay in our lodge and noticed some items missing we needed. We went to the reception and by the time we got back from our day out the items were there for us. Nothing was too much trouble.
I would definitely go there again without a doubt.

The Lodge, (although not a proper wood lodge more a caravan with plastic cladding, do not let this put you off, it has everything one requires, good size kitchen with fridge/freezer, proper cooker with grill and over, microwave, living accommodate consists of settee and two chairs, tv and dvd, the bathroom has a good size shower (you can actually move. Overall vey comfortable with good views over the country side, cannot fault

Wonderful lodge, it felt like everything was new, springy carpets, no scuff marks. Everything was very clean with the exception of quite a number of spiders on the ceilings!
Good size and perfect for 4 adults. Nice to have 2 bathrooms (1 family and 1 ensuite) so no-one was fighting over them. Good size decking and furniture also a plus.
Kitchen was well furnished and like that they left things from other guests e.g. napkins, cling film, that wouldn't necessarily be supplied.
Only minor downsides are not supplying towels - even hand towels for the bathrooms would be appreciated, and tea towel for the kitchen. Also the washing up liquid supplied wouldn't keep anything clean so bring your own of this too!
One of the group also commented on the size / standard of the TV - it was very basic given the lovely furnishing in the rest of the lodge.

The accommodation could not be faulted. We were in Mor cottage which had a washer/dryer and dishwasher in the kitchen. The hot tub was the definite plus especially at the end of a day's exploring the north cornish coast.

We didn't want for anything except some sharper knives. Everything was lovely in the cottage except for some wear and tear on the paint work in places. It is expected and didn't retract from the overall experience.

Beautiful setting, close proximity to the sea, and Bossiney Cove is breath taking! A quick walk and you are in Tintagel an equally beautiful place. Great base for touring North Cornwall. Just a shame you can not use the pool and facilities at the cove over the road. I would go back again in a heartbeat.

Date of stay: 14th April 2014
The accommodation was lovely and hot tub was excellent. Only things which I think were a problem (only very small issues)

1. Would expect hand towels to be provided. Also there needs to be a hand towel ring/holder provided as there wasn't anywhere to place the hand towel - not great if you needed to wash your hands.

2. The door to the main bedroom was sticking to the carpet - making it very difficult to close the door.

3. The rear exit door (patio door) lock was very difficult to open and lock. May be worth having a thumbturn lock especially as this is the main route of escape out of the property.

4. We were unable to use the hot tub on the first night as it didn't reach the required temperature - which was a shame.

Apart from the above it was a lovely cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our time away.
