"Lodge was set in lovely well kept surroundings, just what we needed for a quiet weekend getaway. Great to be able to let the dog roam free on the veranda. Only downfall on the lodge was the sofa was covered in stains which is why I couldn't give it top marks. Overall a lovely weekend was spent there."

"Some attention needed with kitchen some equipment missing like grill pan and tray. Great idea of welcome pack for arrival. Main site was rowdy and a fight broke out and police called. Didnt affect our stay but a shame to others."

Brean Leisure Park - TA8 2QY

Brean Leisure Park in Somerset is the place to head for family fun. The site has over 130 rides and attractions with something for all ages and abilities. You may have seen this amazing attraction on the BBC1 Animal Park programme. This is actually the first safari park outside of Africa where you can get close to the animals from the comfort of your own car. Some of the highlights include the zebras, the wallabies in wallaby wood and the sea lion escorted cruise to Gorilla Island. And of course the magnificent lions and tigers are a must see. Puzzlewood is a somewhat unique attraction within the beautiful Forest of Dean. Visitors can explore the mile of pathways passing over wooden bridges and through some stunning tree and rock formations. While enjoying the splendour of nature there are many types of wildlife to meet along the way including Shetland ponies, Donkeys and Highland Cattle.
