Whalesborough Resort and Spa Reviews

"Warrens is lovely. The photos do not do the place justice! We loved the enormous living space and fully equipped kitchen. Never before have I cooked a roast dinner whilst on holiday. The weather was rubbish for our stay but we still made good use of the hot tub. All of the games and jigsaws were definitely appreciated.Having a dog washing station was great, definitely needed for our mud monster golden retriever!"
Rose - Sep 2025
"Could do with an upgrade in the garden of sun loungers and a hot tub and BBQ was missing this time ?"
Karen - Aug 2025
"Great property but Bude was a bit disappointing"
Brett - Aug 2025
"Gwari Barn was amazing. Inverted living! Bedrooms down stairs, living area up. Two bedrooms were large with exceptionally comfortable super king beds, each with their own ensuite. Upstairs was very spacious and looked great. Decent kitchen area and dining table one side, lounge area on the other. Off the kitchen was a really handy utility room with a separate sink, washing machine and large drinks chiller, plus another toilet cubicle. The outdoor area was spot on. Decked area with dining and lounging sets then a paved area with a hot tub and a couple of small trees. There is also a really good Kamodo Bono BBQ.Couple of drawbacks for us personally were the dog struggled with the stairs as quite slippy for her and just the ventilation. Although upstairs had two sliding doors (one being triple paned, which really opened up the area) and each bedroom also had sliding doors, there wuere no separate openers. This meant if it's warm, unless you want to leave the sliding doors open, there's no air circulation. They were able to find us a fan which really helped at night. We all said that it wasn't like being on holiday. Felt more like a home and none of us wanted to leave. We'd of happily stayed there for much longer.Thank you Whalesborough for a lovely holiday."

Raymond - May 2025
"We had a lovely stay at the gwari barn 2.0 it had everything we needed and the kids loved the hot tub. Its a great place with kids and we enjoyed all the onsite facilities. Kids were thrilled about getting to spend time with the farm animals including alpacas. The resort has a lovely walk till bude town centre and its pushchair friendly which was a bonus with young kids. We would love to come here again."
Raabia - May 2025
"We had a fantastic stay! The location was perfect and the facilities were spotless and well-maintained. Excellent holiday!"
Emma Clarke - Jan 2025
"We recently spent a lovely long weekend at Whalesborough Resort to celebrate my father-in-laws 70th birthday, staying in two adjacent properties. From the moment we arrived, the manager (whose name escapes me!) was incredibly friendly and went out of his way to give us useful tips and all the info we needed. He really made us feel welcome. The kids loved the pool - it was spotless and modern and the adults enjoyed all the facilities too. I managed to squeeze in a workout at the gym, which was well-maintained and surprisingly quiet, even though we stayed during the weekend off-peak. We also had a great lunch at The Weir pub, which offers some really tasty food. We made good use of the self-catering kitchens, which were modern and well-stocked. All in all, were already planning to return - cant wait to come back!"

"We had a really lovely weekend at Whalesborough Resort, celebrating my father-in-laws 70th birthday. We booked two neighbouring properties which worked out perfectly. From the moment we arrived, the receptionist (cant remember his name, but he was so friendly!) made us feel welcome and offered some handy tips for our stay. The kids couldnt get enough of the pool - it was spotless and modern and the adults enjoyed all the facilities too. I managed to squeeze in a quick visit to the gym, which was nice and quiet, although we stayed during off-peak hours. We also had a fantastic meal at The Weir pub, especially for lunch. We used the self-catering kitchens, which were modern and well-equipped. All in all, the properties were kept in great condition. Were already planning to return again soon - cant wait!"
Alexandra - Dec 2024
"Actually stayed in the farmhouse and its a beautiful old building. Everything that you could possibly need is catered for."

"All excellent. Maybe some more crockery and glasses etc be good"
Catherine - Nov 2024
"Great accommodation. All clean and modern. Lovely and warm for the time of year, not too sure how it would be in the summer as no windows to open only doors."
Zoe - Nov 2024
"Beautiful accommodation, with lovely views. Kitchen has everything you need and great to have washing facilties. Enjoyed cosy evenings with log burner, def recommend."
Louise - Oct 2024

"The new place is really well built and looks great. Some simple stuff like utensils was missing, but staff handled it quickly. Our dog loved the warm welcome too!"
Sam - Aug 2024
"Very cozy stay"
Jamie - Jul 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay at this charming cottage. The inside was spotless, especially the kitchen surfaces and floors, which made us feel comfortable. The garden was a lovely size for relaxing, though a bit of paint on the fence would make it look even better. There were a few cobwebs and tiny spiders inside, which could do with a tidy-up, but overall, it was a really lovely place wed happily come back to. Quite a cosy spot!"
