The Granary at Higher Yalberton Farm Reviews
9 reviews from guests who stayed at The Granary at Higher Yalberton Farm
The accommodation was beautiful, having been finished to a very high standard. It had everything we needed. As we were lucky enough to have very good weather during our stay we were able to enjoy the lovely private garden space which is landscaped and well equipped with a table and chairs, recliners, a barbecue and hot tub. The surrounding grounds are also very attractive. Thanks to Jen and Kev, the owners, who are excellent hosts and are very friendly and informative about the local area.
Communications with the owners were good and we received a very friendly welcome on arrival, with lots of helpful tips of where to eat and how to get there. We were greeted with a beautiful, sympathetically restored property, showing amazing attention to detail. The kitchen was very well equipped as were the outside areas, with the hot tub and seating all with a very high level of cleanliness. For those with an EV there is a charger, you have to park very close to the wall to allow others to access and egress the entrance, but it is not a major problem. It was relatively quiet when we went, but were all the cottages to be full, the parking and turning area looked like to could become tight. On departure we did not feel rushed by constant communications regarding our check out time, the owners did not supply endless instructions as to ‘what must be completed’ before leaving and we received a nice wave and a friendly chat before we heading out. The location of the cottage itself in relation to amenities such as supermarkets, and its setting within the valley are lovely, the only reason I marked it down on location was the aforementioned entrance way and turning area, the barn works close by, though during our stay it was very quiet and we only noticed anyone there on the Saturday, and mainly for those not used to some West Country roads, they are very narrow and in areas heavily pot holed so take care. In no way would those minor issues stop us booking the Diary again, in my view, a re-visit is the best feedback we can give.
Amazing weekend at the Dairy, our 2nd visit. The accommodation is to a very high standard and everything thought about. Hosts are lovely.
Everything was 5 star and we would be more than happy to recommend, and look forward to a return visit.
Could not have asked for more! Beautiful setting, clean and tidy, fab hosts! Will definitely be revisiting!
All I can say is WOW!! Amazing accommodation with everything and more! Can wait to stay again! Xxxxx
The accommodation and utilities were perfect we had a lovely time staying at the dairy cottage. If you’re looking for a quiet get away this is a perfect place to go! It’s close to supermarkets and other useful stores.
We had a perfect stay at the Dairy. Jen + Kev could not of been better hosts. The Dairy had everything + more to offer. Coffee machine, views, comfy beds. The hosts had left an informative info book which helped us plan a day or two out. All in all absolutely amazing. We loved it.
