Set in grounds that once formed part of the seaside home of the Colmans mustard family, Ocean Lodges occupy a wonderful woodland setting with views out to sea. They're within walking distance of Corton Beach and just a few miles from Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft where you'll find beaches, lots of shops and the beautiful Princess Royal Fountains.

Both of Lowestoft's beaches hold Blue Flag awards and the town has a Victorian garden, a fascinating Maritime Museum and an extremely quaint high street. There are family rides, rollercoasters and sea lion shows at Pleasurewood Hills and an excellent choice of restaurants nearby - the Waterside Bar & Restaurant serves a good variety of pub classics.

Sunrise Lodge has a master double with ensuite shower, one twin room and space for two people to sleep in the lounge, so it's ideal for a larger group or family of six. There's a family bathroom and the open plan kitchen/lounge/dining area has a coffee machine, dishwasher and washer/dryer. It also has an outdoor hot tub and gorgeous sea views.

There's carp and coarse fishing at Waveney Valley Lakes in Norwich and 22 lanes of bowling at Great Yarmouth. The River Chet is one of the quietest Broadland rivers and you can take a gentle walk along the banks, enjoying the wildlife and the lovely views.

A really nice lodge, highly recommend. Warm, comfortable and very well equipped. Liked the remote hoover.
My only comment is that the bed in the double room, comfortable as it was, seemed smaller than the bed base and would have been nice to have larger bed. Its only a small niggle.

A nice unit with everything you need to stay including iron and hair dryer. Take care though not to walk to look over cliff to see view as some other owners are very possesive of their land.

We were a party of two tired mum's wanting a relaxing weekend. The lodge was perfect and the location ideal. We both said we would also consider returning with our families. The lodge was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. Lovely walk along the beach to Lowestoft and so relaxing to sit in the hot tub and listen to the sea!

We had a fantastic weekend break in this lodge and could not have asked for more. Everything we needed was there, both in the lodge and in the local surroundings. We can't wait to return.

HAZEL

Wade
Really enjoyed the Lodge and the location. It was the perfect location and situation for our 1st family holiday away with our 5 month old boy. A lovely beach to walk down, and the views were plentiful. Once we worked out how to use the heating in the lodge we were well away!
Helen
The lodge was wonderful, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Lots of nice touches added like liquid soap, tea, coffee etc. Every cupboard opened had a nice surprise hidden...it was lovely to relax in the hot tub overlooking the sea, even with January temperatures! Lots of places to visit locally if you want to and very quiet and peaceful if you don't. Mick and Kerry (the owners) were extremely nice and helpful.
Michael
Fantastic log cabin in a great location. Hot tub was lovely. The log cabin had everything you need for a "home from home feel" plenty to do & see in & around the area. Look forward to visiting again 😄
Susan

Fun Days Out near All

Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.

Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.

Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.

This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.

This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.

We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.

This amazing owl sanctuary located in the Stowmarket area of Suffolk should be high on your list of places to visit in the area.  The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region.  The sanctuary also raises awareness of owl conservation throughout the UK.  Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.

The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
