Gloucestershire Hot Tub Lodge Guide

Gloucestershire Hot Tub Getaways
Discover Gloucestershire, a county in the Southwest of England with rolling hills, ancient woodlands and stone-walled villages. The Cotswolds run through the heart of the region.

Gloucestershire Lodges with Hot Tubs - Your Guide to the Best Accommodation

Looking for lodges with hot tubs in Gloucestershire? Explore three distinct areas: the Cotswolds, Forest of Dean and Severn Vale - with each providing holiday lets and short breaks for weekend getaways or longer stays.

What makes this area one of our favourite places for lodge breaks? For starters, you're in easy reach of Gloucester, Cheltenham and Bristol. Enjoy the freedom of countryside stays with easy access to towns and cities.

Romantic Breaks & Couples Getaways

Country pubs and market towns make Gloucestershire suitable for romantic weekend breaks with Cheltenham only 15 minutes from many of our lodges. The spa town has superb restaurants and shops for day trips.

Private hot tub cabins give couples their own space and most properties include outdoor decking areas. There's nothing so romantic as a cosy wooden lodge with a private covered hot tub. And you can visit any time of year.

Fishing Lodges & Outdoor Stays

Several of our holiday homes have fishing lakes on site and you can hire equipment at most locations too. The rural setting makes for excellent spots for angling breaks.

Forest of Dean has multiple fishing lakes to choose from and properties near Gloucester often include lake access. Check fees and permits required at your rental before booking.

Pet Friendly Options

Many self-catering lodges in the area accept dogs. You'll enjoy woodland walks suitable for you and your pets with scenic Forest trails from most accommodation in Dean.

What facilities do dog-friendly properties offer? you can get handy extras such as enclosed gardens and some cabins provide dog washing areas, which are great for muddy paws! Local shops stock pet supplies in and around Gloucester and Cheltenham.

Where to Stay -  We think you'll love these...

Gloucester is the main city witht he iconic Gloucester Cathedral as its centrepiece. (The building is over a thousand years old!) Its gothic cloisters and the Great East Window draw visitors year-round.

The Eastgate Viewing Chamber sits underground and you can explore Roman remains and city defences preserved there. There are some excellent local museums including the Gloucester Life Museum.

The Royal Forest of Dean covers 110 square kilometres and you can enjoy it on foot or using the bike hire available at visitor centres. Marked trails range from 2 to 20 miles.

Cheltenham - Day Trips from Your Lodge

Cheltenham lies 10 miles from most Forest of Dean lodges and has top high street shops and restaurants. The racecourse hosts events throughout the year so check whats on during your stay.

Festival season runs from March to July. Racing, music and literature events take place. Book accommodation early if visiting during these months.

Activities Near Your Hot Tub Hideaway

Go Ape operates a zipline course through Forest of Dean. The Sculpture Trail includes over 20 permanent installations. Look for the steel wire deer and suspended stained glass.

What water sports are available? Severn Vale has Britain's longest river. The Gloucester Docks offer stand-up paddleboarding. Several centres provide equipment hire.

Puzzlewood is a maze of forest pathways. TV productions have filmed there. The site includes farm animals and outdoor play areas for kids.

The Warehouse in Gloucester is an indoor climbing centre. A Victorian building houses the facilities. Skiing and snowboarding are available at the local dry slope.

Gloucestershire hosts 45 festivals annually. Music, literature and science events run throughout the calendar. Check dates when planning your stays.
