"We had a fantastic stay at this lovely place, nestled in a super private spot. The owners were genuinely friendly and always willing to help if we needed anything, but it still felt really peaceful. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day of cycling - perfect! One thing to note is that the cottage sits directly under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much after getting used to it, but its worth considering if noise bugs you. Overall, a great find!"

Plenty of nice walks nearby and we enjoyed dining out at The Star and The Maypole in Thaxted. Definitely recommend it!"

Catanger Llama Trekking - NN12 8LJ

This is a really unique attraction and certainly worth a visit in our opinion. Established in 1995 and situated in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside this attraction will appeal to those looking for something a little different. You can't ride the animals but you can trek alongside them and enjoy the fantastic scenery. From farm tracks to country lanes the gentle animals will carry your rucksack for you along the way. There are personally guided treks available all year round and you will have your own Llama for the trek.

Conkers is an award winning attraction located in the midst of the National Forest. Combining both indoor and outdoor activities this is an all weather attraction in the Peak District. It's really easy to get to as well, just 5 miles from Junction 11 off the M42. Designed for all ages some of the highlights include the Enchanted Forest Adventure play area and a simulated Tree Top walk. Look out for special seasonal events such as October half term and the Annual Halloween Party. At the moment you can receive a fantastic discount if you book your tickets online.

This is an all weather attraction located in Ilkeston Derbyshire. With a large play frame as well as bikes and ride on toys this is a fun place for young children. The toddler time sessions take place during term times on week days from 9.30am until 2.30pm and are very popular. The admission fee is excellent value for money and parents can sit down and enjoy a drink while the children play. A new baby changing facility has now been installed together with some new chairs making this a clean and welcoming attraction for families. Look out for offers on their website such as a free hot drink on select days.

Rosliston Forestry Centre is a beautiful woodland site with tranquil areas for Fishing as well as some beautiful meadows and a lake.
