Dacre Lakeside Park
These Scandinavian-style lodges are nestled right by a lake, in the idyllic Yorkshire moors. Guests can try out fly-fishing on the lake, as well as merely enjoy the peaceful atmosphere it creates. On the lake, guests can do canoeing and kayaking. There’s also more exciting activities available too, including jetskiing and clay pigeon shooting. The lodges are stylishly comfortable, with rustic furnishings that create a home-from-home feeling.
Dragonfly Watersedge is perfect for a couple’s retreat, as is the unique Sheperds Hut situated right on the lake. Both have hot tubs for guests to soak in under the stars. The Water Reed lodges sleep six, and with their spacious interiors and comfortably bedrooms, are perfect for a family holiday. These also have hot tubs outside. All lodges have a fully equipped kitchen, but there’s a pizzeria on the site overlooking the lake for a break from cooking.
Ardgartan Argyll Lodges

Surrounded by 25 acres of woodland, these lodges offer an escape into the outdoors. The park is situated in Bideford, Devon, so there’s also plenty of bustling towns and beautiful beaches to explore nearby. The lodges are seamlessly integrated into the forest lakeside setting, wooden and rustic with trees surrounding them.
Each has a bespoke, quirky design, and a simple yet homely interior. The living areas are open and framed with woodland views. Guests can also soak in their own hot tub surrounded by the trees on the deck outside. There are five well-stocked lakes on site, where guests can try carp and coarse fishing for free.
Riverview Holiday Park
This family-run site is in the heart of the rural Scottish countryside, near Newcastleton. The forest setting is serene, ideal for a family wanting an escape from the hustle-and-bustle of reality. There’s a well-stocked lake on site, where guests can try trout and salmon fishing. Guests can also walk along the River Liddel and through the unspoiled countryside.
Rotunder is the perfect base for a family of four after a day in the great outdoors; a glamping pod which combines the excitement of camping with the luxuries needed for a holiday. Inside, the furnishings are cosy and welcoming. There’s a well-equipped kitchen for guests to cater for themselves, and a sheltered hot tub outside to relax in. Garden furniture is also provided, and a BBQ, for guests to enjoy al fresco dining.
Ashlea Pool Lodges
This collection of wooden lodges is situated in the peaceful Shropshire countryside, with unspoiled greenery for miles. Each lodge has a picture-perfect lakeside view, where guests will spot the resident waterfowl. Coarse fishing is available on this lake. The site has other fantastic facilities, including a pizzeria, bike and barbecue hire, and sports equipment including archery and cricket.
The two Kingfisher lodges sleep four and have a real luxurious feel. There’s a spacious kitchen with everything needed for self-catering, as well as the airy living space which is decorated with rustic and homely furnishings. Take in the countryside views from the indulgent hot tub on the deck outside. Pets are welcome at both lodges. Oak VIP lodge also sleeps four, and is equally as stylish, with a sunken outdoor hot tub.
