Lincolnshire Lodge Fishing Guide

Finding the perfect “bass” to live your angler fantasy can be tricky, and there are pretty good options for fishing lodges with hot tubs in Lincolnshire.

Home to some of the largest rivers in the UK, Lincolnshire is renowned for its flat landscapes, dykes, and coastlines, which means a whole host of coarse fishing venues to research! But not to worry we have you covered with some amazing sites that the whole family can enjoy. Each near a fab luxury lodge with it’s own hot tub.

Woodthorpe Leisure Park

Situated alongside 43 acres of woodland, Woodthorpe Leisure park proves to be an excellent stay for all holidaymakers, fishing fanatic or not!

Home to two fishing lakes, approximately one acre in size, well-stocked with carp, tench, rudd, roach, perch and orfe, anglers will fall in love with this destination. Permits are available from the park shop on a daily or weekly basis for individuals or families, so make sure to pack your rod and buy one for the little ones too!

We know not all little ones have the patience for fishing but not to worry, the park has a lot of other opportunities on offer for all to enjoy, including a full-sized leylandii hedge maze, a trampoline, and a playhouse.

The site features a number of lodges for families, couples or groups of friends an there are also pet-friendly options available.

Woody’s Restaurant and Bar is also on hand, with a warm welcome and a hearty menu that will have you craving pub classics for months after your visit. Family-owned, Woody’s has been serving up delicious home-cooked meals for over 30 years.

With historic ties to the Strubby Airfield, you will be joining the squadrons who landed at the restaurant for refuelling during wartime. Put the rod down, call a time out and refuel like the soldiers, enjoying an iconic Lincolnshire evening and soaking up its rich history over a gin and toxic or a beer.

The pub is also renowned for its community-building entertainment, including Killer Pool and Open-Mic Nights. Aside from food, fishing and frolicking, the park also offers the chance to try your hand at an 18-hole golf course and has been described as providing a “lovely” and “relaxing” weekend.

If this sounds like the place of your dreams, why not explore the website here to plan your ideal getaway.

Woodhall Country Park Lodges

With three well-stocked and balanced lakes, Woodhall Country Park is another favourite amongst fishing enthusiasts and has been described by a guest as a “fisherman’s and twitchers paradise”.

With all levels of angler catered for, this site offers a peaceful learning experience with those closest to you, exclusive to the residents of the park, meaning you don’t have to fight for the best spots on sunny days.

You can choose from carp or course fishing with tench, rudd, perch and pike.

For a small rod fee, you could be enjoying the beautiful wildlife on offer at the park. Make sure you pack your valid rod licence though, to avoid disappointment!

Beyond the park there is plenty to do and see, from the lovely coastal resorts of Skegness, Mablethorpe and Cleethorpes to farms, there are several great attractions that the whole family will love.

Venture back in time at the Kinema in The Woods, an old-fashioned theatre of take a trip to beautiful Jubilee Park with plenty of open space for children to play and a seasonal outdoor pool.

If you have your walking shoes on hand there is also plenty of amazing trails to explore, including a leisurely and scenic walk to the Edwardian spa town of Woodhall Spa. After winning a diamond award in 2019 and being named a 5-star resort by Visit England, there is no wonder why this site is so popular, especially when guests have described it as a “home from home”.

Watermill Leisure Park

If none of our suggestions have sparked your interest so far, this final one is bound to have you hooked. As a part of the Bouja collection, Watermill Leisure Park is a treat for humans and four legged friends alike.

This site is super dog-friendly meaning safe fields, long trails, and new smells for them to explore.

Don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten about all you Anglers out there; Watermill has plenty for you to look forward to, with roach, perch, rudd, and tench to name a view, the site’s award-winning fishing lakes are phenomenal, with some fish rumoured to weigh around 20Ib!

But don’t just take our word for it! One guest commented that the onsite “fishing was great” and that their “cabin was situated in a great place”.

In the heart of the countryside, Watermill is perfect for families and couples of all ages.

With 55-acres made accessible for most abilities, the park is ideal for rambling or cycling. Why not end your day with a drink in the beer garden or with a stone-baked pizza at the local Italian and watch the sun set over the stunning adjoining countryside.
