Ribblesdale Lodges Reviews

"The garden is fantastic and secure, perfect for our dogs to play freely. However, bedroom storage is a bit lacking, which was a small hassle. Overall, a lovely place with some minor storage issues. Would recommend!"
Emma Carter - Jan 2025
"We loved this lodge! It had everything we needed and felt so warm and inviting. Out of over 20 stays, its definitely one of the top picks!"
Jamie and Sam - Dec 2024
"The lounge could definitely do with a few more lamps and each bedroom needs a dressing table."
Emma - Dec 2024
"Great stay overall, the lodge had all we needed for a quick escape."
Emma - Dec 2024
"Our Ribblesdale Lodges review: We absolutely loved Deer Park Cottage at Ribblesdale Park! Tucked away in the gorgeous Yorkshire Dales, its the perfect spot for a peaceful escape. The place is beautifully designed, super cosy inside and the kitchen has everything we needed. The hot tub was a real treat after long walks, which are so easy to access from the cottage. The views are just stunning and the staff made us feel really welcome. Whether its a romantic break or just some time to relax, this place really hits the mark. Well definitely be coming back!"
Emma Roberts - Nov 2024
"Great experience overall"
James - Nov 2024
"Weve now been here five times and every stay just gets better. Knightley Lodge was spot on for us-beautiful views and all the essentials. The staff are always friendly, especially Ian, who went out of his way to bring treats for our dog. The food is consistently excellent, both breakfast and dinner. Cant wait to come back next year. Thanks to everyone!"
Jamie - Nov 2024
"We had a pretty good stay as a family of five, including our little 20-month-old and the dog. The lodge was surprisingly spacious, which was a bonus, though the furniture looked a bit tired. The washing machine was a handy addition, especially with a toddler around. The hot water was a bit flaky at times, which was a bit annoying. The outdoor decking and fencing definitely need a proper deep clean and some TLC, but the hot tub was fantastic - kept at the right temperature the whole time! The outdoor seating at the pub was lovely, perfect for relaxing. Staff seemed quite busy, so we missed out on the happy hour deal and werent told which drinks were included, which was a shame since we spent quite a bit of time there. The park could do with more facilities for toddlers, but overall, wed still recommend a visit!"
Emma - Sep 2024
"Overall, the lodge was pretty nice, though there was some dust here and there. The sofa had a tiny tear and the hot tub jets werent all working. Still, a good stay!"
Emma - Aug 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, especially the park ground and the lovely cafe. The decking could do with a bit of tidy up though."
Sam - May 2024
"Really enjoyed the whole process, thanks!"
Emma Clarke - Feb 2024
"We had a really lovely stay! The lodge was super cosy and warm and the hot tub was a real highlight. The food at the restaurant was spot-on and the New Years bash was great fun. This was our second visit and were pretty sure well be back again soon!"
Emma Carter - Jan 2024
"Good service, would recommend"
Emma - Dec 2023
"Really enjoyed our visit! The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout the day. The wildlife was stunning, especially the stags. Well definitely return!"
James - Dec 2023
"Weve stayed here three times now and honestly, we love the place. Its got such a cosy vibe and were already planning to come back. That said, there are a few small issues that need sorting - like a loose door handle in the main bedroom and some dodgy light switches near the bed that dont work. The small double room has a plug socket thats a bit loose too. We also struggled a bit with the dishwasher tablet drawer; it doesnt shut properly. A side table in the main room would be handy and for my mums limited mobility, a rail outside on the steps would be a lifesaver. We know these things can get missed in quick turnarounds, but just wanted to flag them. Still, we love it and will be back!"
Emma - Dec 2023
"We had a really lovely stay at Bront Lodge. The place was spotless and very comfy, with everything we needed to cook for ourselves. The garden was a big plus, completely enclosed for the dogs, which was great. Its so peaceful at night, perfect for a good sleep. The hot tub was spotless and well looked after too. Definitely recommend!"
Emma - Nov 2023
"Comfortable, friendly, great location"
Lizzie - Nov 2023
"Really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was cosy and spotless, with all the essentials. The hot tub was a highlight, especially for our dogs. Highly recommend!"

"Really enjoyed our stay, despite a few minor issues."
Alex - May 2023

James - Aug 2020
"Overall, we really enjoyed our time at Ribblesdale Park. The spa treatments by Harriet were fantastic - truly exceptional! There were a couple of small issues, like the kitchen layout and outside gate, but they didnt spoil our stay. Wed definitely go again!"
Emma - Aug 2020
"Honestly, we rarely go back to the same place twice, but this spot might just be an exception if we ever do return! Absolutely loved it."
Jess - Aug 2020
"We loved the peaceful location and the lovely park. The lodge was perfect for our family, especially with a teenage daughter. The hot tub was a highlight!"
Sarah - Jul 2020
"Nice little lodge, but missing a kettle."

Ingrid - Aug 2022
"Loved this holiday, what’s not to like? a gorgeous location, lovely lodge, staff great and a happy hour on drinks!"
Louise - Jul 2022
"Beautiful lodges in a tranquil setting. Hot tub was great. The only negative was it was quite a walk to the swimming pool from the lodge so we gave that a miss. But overall fantastic weekend with the girls"
Andrea - Jul 2022
"Beautiful lodges in a beautiful setting. Had a wonderful time."
Kathryn - Jul 2022
"Wonderful place , we would definitely return ?"
Kerry - Jul 2022
"Really good. Weather is critical but the heated pool helped when it was overcast and cool. The hot tub was excellent. The lodge was first class and outdoor area of the lodge was perfect. I felt I could have stayed longer just taking it easy. If I couldn't be bothered to cook, the restaurant would satisfy my needs. The staff were easy to talk to and made us feel special. Because the weather can vary, some information on local attraction would have a help. Advice on where to buy a paper ect would have been welcome if included in the welcoming notes."
Alan - Jul 2022
"Beautiful location, cabin clean and spacious. However a few minor tweaks would have improved an already great stay. No shade outside and no umbrella for table provided. No plastic glasses as stated."
Rachael - Jul 2022
"Beautiful setting and lodge was beautiful as well"
Jane - Jul 2022
"Excellent high quality lodge, very clean and kept in good condition. Parkland setting was very nice with plenty of local walks."
Richard - Jul 2022
"Had an absolutely fabulous week here. The lodge was beautiful, very clean and well equipped. The beds however are extremely uncomfortable and as I have multiple health issues I had to purchase mattress toppers to make it bearable! The hot tub is set a few degrees too warm and after a warm day was too hot to get in and the staff could not lower the temperature. Be aware the kettle is not electric it goes on the gas hob, so plan a cuppa in advance as it takes an age to boil hehehe. The surroundings are beautiful and there are very tame peacocks strolling around and the beautiful Fallow deer stags wander round the park. We hand fed them as they are so tame and friendly. This really made it special. The restaurant had a limited but good menu and the food was excellent. The park need to consider installing charging points for electric cars."
Rachael - Jul 2022
"A family holiday spent at Ribblesdale Park was wonderful. The lodge itself was beautiful and clean and the hot tub was much appreciated. The lodge was secure with fencing and a gate which was much appreciated with a small dog and a toddler! The surroundings were idyllic with peacocks and deer roaming the grounds. Although Gisburn itself is a quiet village, there is so much to do in the surrounding area all within a short drive from the Park. A great holiday, we will return."

Happy Mount Park has attractions for the whole family including several play areas, a miniature railway, crazy golf, putting green and trampolines, there is also a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around in the summer and a café where the adults can relax with a drink. During the summer months and especially during school holidays live music can often be enjoyed.
Lakeland Wildlife Oasis - LA6 1JH
about 26 Miles
Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction.  With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun.  You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money.  There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.

This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families.  Some of the highlights may include seeing wild deer and bats during your visit.  The grounds are fantastic to wander round but there is also an Elizabethan Mansion, Victorian Church, Georgian Water Garden and the finest example of Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country - Well worth a visit!

Situated in the Ripon area of North Yorkshire this popular theme park makes a fantastic day out for the whole family.  The more daring will love the big and thrilling rides such as Raptor Attack, The Ultimate and Trauma Tower.  For the little ones there are some excellent attractions such as Flying Camels, Dodgems and a Magic Wheel.  Toddlers will like the Dragon Boats and the Lightwater Express amongst other things. There are over 40 rides and attractions in total and we think this is excellent value for money too.  If you book your tickets in advance online you can save even more money and beat the queues.

There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.

This is a very popular theme park with three different locations.  The theme park in Warrington contains not only the theme park but also Gullivers Splash Zone and Gullivers Star Studios.  The Solash Zone is a fully heated indoor water play factory fun for all ages which will appeal on rainy days.  Throughout the year there are seasonal events too such as the Halloween and Fireworks event taking place from 23rd to 31st October.  You can book online to save time and secure your tickets during busy periods.  Over 50% of the rides are actually under cover so you don't need to worry about the British weather spoiling the fun.
