We love the Zulu 676 helicopter which has been converted into the quirkiest of places to stay! It sleeps up to four people - two in a custom made double bunk in the tail and two in a twin pull-out bunk in the living area. It has fancy LED lighting, a mini-fridge and microwave, plus a flat screen TV. There's even a large verandah with garden table and chairs.  For beautiful lodges with hot tubs then opt for the Lake View 4 or the Lake View 6.  We also love the Tower View 4 Lodge which is a real log lodge with decking, hot tub and lovely views of the lake.

Head to Blackpool to see the annual illuminations, complete with lasers, neon and strobe lights - or enjoy the water slides, lazy river and the wave machine at Sandcastle Water Park.

Ream Hills Holiday Park Reviews

"Great lodge with all the essentials included."
Emma & Sophie - Jan 2025
"Really pleased with the place, no issues at all."
Emma - Jan 2025
"Not worth it"
Emma Roberts - Dec 2024
"We absolutely loved this lodge! The view over the lake is stunning and relaxing in the hot tub with the lit-up tower was perfect."
Emma Carter - Dec 2024
"Our Ream Hills Holiday Park review: This place was just fantastic! The cabin itself was super cosy, especially with the Christmas tree all decorated, which made it feel extra special. We stayed for our family Christmas weekend and honestly, it couldnt have been better - 8 en-suite bedrooms, all beautifully decorated and the high-spec finish was impressive. Staff were lovely and the hot tubs with that lovely lake view were a real highlight. Weve already booked our next visit!"
Emma - Dec 2024
"Great stay, the hot tub was a real highlight!"
James - Dec 2024
"Looking forward to coming back soon!"
Alex - Dec 2024
"Weve stayed here before and its nice to see how much its improved since 2021. The redecoration really freshened things up and the lodge had all the essentials for a comfy stay. The new onsite cafe and bar are a big bonus, making it easy to grab a drink or bite without leaving the park. Plus, it's perfectly placed for trips to Blackpool, but you can also just relax by the lake watching the ducks and swans, which is lovely."
Charlie - Nov 2024
"Could be better than this"
Emma Clarke - Aug 2024
"Very spacious, lovely views over the lake, really enjoyed our stay."
Emma Carter - Jun 2024
"Couldve been cleaner, especially the bathroom with all those cobwebs."
Alex - Jun 2024
"We had a lovely stay at Sunset View Lodge. The space was generous, the bathroom was superb and the bed was so comfy we didnt want to get up in the morning. Would definitely recommend!"
Emma Taylor - Mar 2024
"The lodge was spotless and cosy, perfect for relaxing. The location was great for visiting Blackpool easily. We loved the hot tub too! Were coming back."
Emma - Feb 2024
"We recently stayed at this site and honestly, the location was perfect for exploring Blackpool, which was a big plus. The lodge itself looked lovely from the outside, but sadly, the inside was a different story. When we arrived, the fridge smelled terrible and despite us cleaning it thoroughly, the smell just wouldnt go away - it was gut-wrenching. We avoided using it whenever possible. The cleanliness was also an issue; dust and cobwebs were everywhere, so it seemed like the lodge hadnt been cleaned properly before we arrived. On the bright side, the lodges setting was really nice and the site overall is well situated. There was a hot tub too, but it was a bit of a letdown because there was no shelter over it, so we couldnt use it during the rain. My partner tried to brave it one morning, but within minutes, it started pouring heavily. All in all, we liked the location, but the smell in that fridge still haunts me! Honestly, if it werent for that, we might consider coming back, but thats a big sticking point."
Sammy Reynolds - Jan 2024
"Lovely spot, really enjoyed our stay."
Harriet - Jan 2024
"Honestly, we quite liked the lodge overall, but there was one thing that really annoyed us. The hot tub has no shelter at all, which was a bit of a pain, especially during the terrible weather we had over Christmas. We only managed to enjoy it three times because of the rain and wind. That was a real shame since relaxing in the hot tub was one of the main reasons we chose this place. A sturdy wooden roof or shelter would make such a difference, especially in bad weather. Its a simple fix that would really improve things!"
Ellie - Jan 2024
"Despite some dust on the skirting boards and lights and a bit of mould around the bath, we still had a great time at the lodge. It didnt ruin our stay at all!"
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
"The lodge was super roomy and had a lovely hot tub. Kitchen and bathrooms were really well equipped. Wi-Fi was a nightmare though!"
Emma Clarke - Nov 2023
"We had a lovely break here! The hot tub was a real highlight, super relaxing. Its peaceful and quiet, perfect for unwinding. A few more amenities and a bus to Blackpool would be the icing on the cake though. Definitely recommend for a chilled out escape!"
Lisa - Jul 2023
"We arrived to a spotless lodge and couldn't believe how roomy it was. Perfect for unwinding after a hectic day. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything, including a dishwasher, making self-catering a breeze and stress-free for us. Loved it!"
James - Jul 2023
"Great stay, loved the cosy feel here!"
Linda - May 2023
"Had an amazing family getaway, theres loads of stuff nearby to enjoy!"
Emma - Aug 2020
"Great little spot for a peaceful retreat, loved the hot tub and cleanliness."
Emma - Aug 2020
"Looking forward to coming back soon, loved it here."

"Looking forward to returning next year too!"
Jamie - Aug 2020
"Really enjoyed our stay here"
Alex - Jul 2020
"Really enjoyed it, definitely coming back soon."
Sam - Jul 2020
"We enjoyed our stay overall, but we did notice there wasnt a chopping board in the lodge, which made us a bit cautious about using knives on the worktops. Also, a TV in the master bedroom wouldve been a nice touch for relaxing evenings. Still, its a lovely place!"
Emma - Jul 2020
"Had a lovely 4-night stay, really appreciated the friendly service and cosy atmosphere. Well return for sure!"
Jane Thompson - Mar 2020

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals.  Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area.  Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos.  At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed.  Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.

St Winefride's Well in Flintshire is described at one of the 7 wonders of Wales and is shrouded in mystery and intrigue. Legend has it that the well first erupted at the spot where Caradog cut off the nuns head with his sword. The shrine was then erected in her memory in the first decade of the sixteenth century and remains one of the holiest places in Wales. The stunning temple and well attract visitors from all over the world. Water can be drawn from the spring basin within the crypt and is thought to be lucky.
