Just great, we came back totally relaxed.
Beautiful in the autumn, the scenery was just amazing. Can recommend the Silver Birch lodge. it was spotless, a big thumbs up for the hot tub. It was to cold to try the watersports on the loch but would be great in the summer.

Date of stay: 22nd June 2018
as I said amazing holiday, couldnt recomend enough, only down point was scuffs and marks on walls, a monthly paint review would make this place flawless!
Nicholas, Aberdeen
Date of stay: 11th June 2018
A bit sticky in places (dining table). Shortage of untensils, pots and pans. I think you only get new ones if you ask. Should be checked and fully inventorised before you arrive. The hobs are horrendous to use. Hot tubs are very clean and well maintained.
Sarah, Stonehouse
Date of stay: 28th May 2018
The only negative thing - it would be better to have table and chairs on the decking rather than a bench with fixed seats. This was not comfortable when sitting in the sun.
Date of stay: 26th February 2018
Good beautiful place !

Date of stay: 27th October 2017
Nice cabin. A little cold when we got there but soon warmed up. Some tv channel we not working which was a pitying. When we arrived My husband went to pick up the keys to the cabin front reception as Im a bit socially awkward by nature but the lady insisted on talking to me and I had to get out of the car in the rain and sit and be talked at for 10 minutes which I did not enjoy. Cabin was near cattle grid which you could hear large vehicles going over in the mornings
Karen, Walderslade

No enough wardrobe spaces, ok if you were only with children, but not too good with all adults travelling.
Robert, Glasgow
Date of stay: 3rd February 2017
Again they were delighted with everything and had everything that they could need. Only point to make is that it is very dark in the evenings and if you need to go outside it would be handy to have a torch in the cabin and also a full bucket of wood for woodburner for the first day
Michelle, Greater Manchester
Date of stay: 16th December 2016
The hideaway golden oak lodge was a very cosy place to be. The only downside was the small bed and sofa was not that comfortable. Other than that it was fully equipped and the hot tub was great plus the bath was great too. All the added extras on arrival were welcomed after a long journey there.
Date of stay: 24th October 2016
We enjoyed a wonderful week in the Golden Oak with there being 4 of us, and two dogs, and we had lots of walks in the surrounding site. The staff at the site centre are very helpful, and the bounty of freshly baked bread to order was a delicious option. The cabin was spacious, we had lots of fun trying to keep the woodburner alight, perhaps the flu needed cleaning, but, we seemed to have issues with it. Anyway, the ensuite bathroom was wonderful, with floor lighting and stone tiles, and the complimentary bathrobes and products were very good. We had a lovely surprise of two Bonio dog biscuits waiting for our dogs along with a couple of poo bags for our use, of course we brought our own with us anyway. The kitchen was well equiped with microwave oven and dish washer as well as fridge and conventional oven . Strathyre is well equipped with cycles to rent if you wish to use them and lots of paths which you can walk along from the site. It is beautiful, we heard the owls calling their mates at night, and we saw wildlife as we walked up the woodland paths. It really is a very exciting venue, where you can chill, or be active, and join in with the various activities hosted by the staff. The shop provides basic's you might want, and luxury treats you might not know you wanted... altogether, well situated to go visit outwith the site the local places, Calendar having a few shops and two stores, Tesco and the Co-oP where you can get most things you might need during your stay if you haven't already brought them with you. It is by far dramatic and beautiful in equal measure, see the sun setting over the hills, or watching it rise , and the majesty of the shadow and mist over the trees and hills from the side of the loch...is awesome, breath taking. My favourite venue, and I look forward to returning in the future.

Overall accommodation was good, pretty spacious living areas. the only downfall were the sofas, needed upgraded. Not the most comfortable and a bit on the small side for 4 adults.

The golden oak was really nice, looks the same as the silver birch lodges with the log burning stove as an extra which was nice in winter. If I went any other time of year, the silver birch would suffice.

We had the most amazing week at Strathyre Forest Cabins, we arrived at check in at 4pm and had pre-ordered the pizza pack and breakfast pack. The hot tub was ready as soon as we got to our cabin, the cabin was stunning and pizza delivered at our pre-ordered time of 6:30pm which was great after our long drive from West Yorkshire. We did archery and forest skills with Jack Black McGregor who is an amazing addtion to this particular Forest Park. Staff helpfull, hot tub cleaned daily. We saw wild deer and one night while relaxing in the hot tub after a walk up Ben Ledi we saw two Golden Eagles fly all the way down the valley. Beautifull views, friendly staff, it was a perfect break (we stayed for 1 week) I miss it already.
Stephenie, Wirral

Lovely staff very friendly, nothing is a bother. Cabins are set in tranquil and beautiful surroundings. The cabin we stayed in was of a very high standard and was spotless when we arrived. Loved the aspect of having an upstairs and full glass front on cabin so could get a good view of scenery. We have already rebooked to go back in a few months

Date of stay: 6th April 2015
The golden oak cabin had a couple of changes from last year. The new sofas are much more comfortable but we also missed the dresser in the main bedroom. An afterthought is better availability of an ironing board and iron rather than having to trek to the retreat area to use one. These again are just minor issues and did no affect a wonderful holiday in a beautiful location.
Julie, Arbroath

We have been coming for 5 years and it's a lovely relaxing holiday. It is starting to get pricey.
The staff are all amazing and always helpful. I will be visiting for many years to come as it's never a dissopointment. Also the young Receptionist Kim a think her name was. Was extremely helpful. Thank u all very much xxx

The cabin was lovely and the hot tub was fab, however, there were one or 2 small things that took it down from a 10 for all. There was no freezer compartment in the fridge, no DVD player and no Wi Fi. Though if I went again I could take this into consideration and request a freezer, as some cabins had them I was informed, take a DVD player with me. And in this day and age Wi Fi should be included.

A couple of little issues but nothing major, we had a fantastic Honeymoon!

Date of stay: 20th June 2014
The log cabin was better than expected. Very comfortable and all modern gadgets although there was no washing machine , iron and ironing board which was dissapointing, but not an issue. Few minor problems which was fixed immediately by the on site staff. Staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. Shop had all the basics and cafe was good although a bit expensive for some things.

Everything about the lodge was great except the two couches were very small and so not particularly comfy to sit on.

We went get away from it all and we did that exactly. Accomdation was brilliant. Very clean, up to date and cozy. The hot tub was used all the time after walking the hills each day. I wanted a perfect break and got exactly that ! Value for every penny spent.

Date of stay: 10th January 2014
Me and my partner booked the cabin in hope of a relaxing week away and it couldn't have been more perfect! The staff were very helpful but at the same time we were never hassled or bothered, which was brilliant! The cabin itself exceeded our expectations and was very cosy! The maintainance of the hot tub was excellent as it got checked every day by staff without having to hassle me and my partner. I can happily say I would recommend this holiday to anyone looking for a romantic, relaxing weekend away. The price was fantastic and we came away from our holiday feeling refreshed, happy and wanting to book another stay!

Date of stay: 22nd November 2013
I only have 2 minor bad point sabout the logde. The sofa's could have been more comfy. We only had 5 channels on the TV. None of these points outweighed the perfect accomaodation.
Loved every minute of our stay. Our hot tub faced right onto the lake it was beautiful. Staff were very friendly and it’s not too far from the local village. Have recommended to friends and family and will definitely be back.
Fantastic complex, friendly staff, We stayed in one of the Lodges for the Disabled ,the reason for this was that we had 4 dogs with us, and wanted a wet room to wash them down if needed. we didn't need it, Decking around Lodge and Pathways on site are well maintained. The Lodge is well layed out and spacious , will recommend to Family and friends.
Fabulous stay at a beautiful lodge in an idyllic location.
We had a great week staying at this beautiful location. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Stunning location beautiful cabin defiantly be back next year
Great 4day break ,cabins were spotless and well furnished in a lovely location ...and the hot tub was just bliss
Enjoyed a fantastic Xmas break at Strathyre Lodges. Real Xmas Tree located in cabin and homemade decorations to make and hang on the tree, nice touch, helps to keep the kids busy on Xmas Eve! Weather was poor i.e. rain, but didn't dampen our time away too much as was plenty to do inside the lodge. Log Burner a must to complete the log cabin experience. Logs can be ordered via the TV together with food and anything else that you may require from the main desk. All in all, a wonderful place for Xmas Break.
Beautiful lodge and surroundings
Amazing break. Everything perfect.
We had a beautiful holiday, the log cabin was beautiful and so was the walks around the area. It will be somewhere I will always remember (my partner proposed to me in log cabin No1).
Brilliant had a great time as usual always goes in to quick
