Osmington Mills Lodge Park Reviews

"The lodge itself was lovely, but the steep hill leading up to it caught us off guard-nothing was mentioned during booking. Walking up was tough, especially for someone with a dodgy heart. Still, overall, a good stay!"
Emma - Oct 2024
"The lodge was cosy and spotless, even though it's a bit older. Had a quick boiler hiccup, but they fixed it fast, which was really appreciated. Overall, a good stay!"
Alex Carter - Oct 2024
"Overall, we had a good time, but its a bit tight. The place is lovely, really well-kept and comfy, but trying to fit 8 of us was a challenge. Its perfect for smaller groups, but for us, it felt a little cramped at times. Still, the host was friendly and helpful, which made up for it. Would recommend, just maybe not if youre all planning to spend loads of time indoors together!"
Emma Collins - Sep 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, the place was cosy, well-kept and the hot tub was a bonus!"
Emma - Sep 2024

"We had an amazing stay! The lodge was spotless, super comfy and the facilities were top-notch. Definitely coming back soon!"
Emma - May 2023
"We had a fantastic stay at the lodge! The furniture and decor really added to the cosy vibe. Only downside was the mattresses - most needed replacing, which made for a bit of a rough sleep. Still, wed return!"
Emma - Apr 2023
"Great spot, lovely staff and comfy rooms too!"
Emma - Jul 2020
"The chalet was fantastic overall, but we really missed blackout curtains in the front bedrooms because the street light glare was quite bright at night. Otherwise, it was perfect!"
Emily - Oct 2019
"We had such a great time! The parks setting was gorgeous and the staff really made us feel welcome. The lodge was spacious, comfortable and fully equipped - honestly, one of our best holidays ever. Cant wait to come back!"
Emma - Aug 2019
"The lodge was quite cosy and spotless, which we appreciated. The outside decking looked a bit neglected and the furniture could do with a clean."
Emma - May 2019

"We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return."
Jason - Aug 2018
"Really enjoyed our stay, the lodge was perfect and the owners were lovely! Thanks!"
Sam - Aug 2018
"Having an en-suite in the main bedroom was a real bonus and we appreciated the little touches like tea and coffee. Just a heads up - if you take a shower, make sure no one turns on the tap, because it can be either boiling hot or freezing cold, which was a bit annoying!"
George - Aug 2018
"Really enjoyed our stay here, felt homely and appreciated the thoughtful touches like snacks and drinks."
Emma - Jun 2018
"Totally worth the visit"
James Carter - Jun 2018
"Lovely place the lodge was really beautiful. Very quiet lovely place to have a relaxing break away. We had a lovely walk down to the smugglers inn and some lovely trips into Weymouth."
Maria - Nov 2021
"Lovely holiday park, we stayed in the Cedar Falls Lodge, it was absolutely perfect for our needs, spacious and luxurious. Loved the fact the Coastal path was within a short 5 minute walk plus it had a play area for kids. The only improvement I can think to suggest would be to include some information and leaflets of things to do in the area when checking-in or at least in the reception area. We had a lovely week away and I would definitely consider booking again."
Jane - Nov 2021
"Fantastic stay, clean and great lodge park"
Jason - Oct 2021
"Lovely quiet location, need a car , very long walk to bus stop."
Carole - Oct 2021
"Really enjoyed our stay in Cedars 9 (as per picture on hoseasons). The site itself is tucked away in a peaceful , quiet location with country club on site or Smugglers Inn walkable (5 mins), which served nice food and some live music. Coastal walks in both direction a must if fully abled. Pool and club house lovely. If you want hustle and bustle head to Weymouth. The Old Harbour is very picturesque and worth a visit and there’s plenty going on to amuse the kids."
Roz - Sep 2021
"Osmington is a great location, close the Weymouth and many of Dorset’s famous sights. The neared beach Ringstead was lovely and there are some great walks from the Park. Our lodge was very comfortable and had a wonderful view. We will return!"
Tiffany - Jul 2021
"Beautiful lodge with the home touches"
Pearl - Jun 2021
"Excellent friendly welcome to a fabulous holiday in a beautiful lodge. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back."

Dorset Teddy Bear Museum - DT1 1JU

This family orientated museum is dedicated to Teddy Bears both old and new Edward Bear and his family of people sized bears are one of the main attractions.  You can buy teddy bear gifts from the quaint shop including top notch brands.  The Steiff Teddy Bear and Merrythought bears are very popular.  Open 7 days a week all year round (except 25th and 26th December) this is a perfect all weather place to visit.
Kingston Maurward Gardens and Animal Park - DT2 8PY

Kingston Maurward Gardens and Animal Park is a magical place to visit with grand gardens and plenty of animals to meet.  From goats and ponies to alpacas and pot bellied pigs this attraction is excellent value for money.  You can feel free to explore the grounds too which are especially lovely on sunny days.  You will see majestic floral displays, stone terraces, a temple and even a lake.
Monkey World - BH20 6HH
about 8 Miles
Monkey World is not only a local attraction but the work they carry out is amazing.  Rescuing and rehabilitating monkeys and assisting governments around the world to stop the smuggling of primates are just some of the purposes of the centre. You get to see the primates themselves many of which have become famous from appearing on the TV show Monkey World - a documentary about this place. Open year round we think this is one of best attractions in Dorset and you even get the chance to adopt a monkey if you choose.
Loch Lomond Sealife Centre - G83 8QL

The perfect place to visit on a rainy day this large Sealife Centre is currently offering 2 tickets for £15.00 when you book online. Top attractions include the amazing shark tunnel, the rock pools and the otter enclosure. This year Loch Lomond Sealife Centre is also home to Cammy - the only Giant Sea Turtle in Scotland! The centre also offers visitors an educational experience with talks and hands on events taking place daily.
Fort Victoria - PO41 0RR

Fort Victoria is many attractions in one convenient location. What once was a historically important fort is now home to a Marine Aquarium, a Model Railway, a Sea Bed Archaeology Exhibition and a Planetarium. The Country Park also offers delightful woodland walks. Countryside Rangers are on hand to give guided walks of the seashore and the woodland. Admission to the park is free of charge but each of the attractions incur a small charge.
Salisbury and South Wiltshire Museum - SP1 2EN
about 38 Miles
The Salisbury and South Wiltshire Museum is located in the Salisbury area of Wiltshire and will appeal to those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  The exhibits are centred around the history of Salisbury and South Wiltshire from prehistoric times to now. There are plenty of activities on for families and children during school holidays so don't forget to check ahead to see the latest events. There are a gift shop and a cafe on site.
Longleat Safari and Adventure Park - BA12 7NW
about 38 Miles
You may have seen this amazing attraction on the BBC1 Animal Park programme.  This is actually the first safari park outside of Africa where you can get close to the animals from the comfort of your own car. Some of the highlights include the zebras, the wallabies in wallaby wood and the sea lion escorted cruise to Gorilla Island.  And of course the magnificent lions and tigers are a must see.  This really is an animal experience with a difference and you can save money by booking your tickets online.  This attraction is open until the end of October. Check out their website to see some fantastic video podcasts of the park.
