Sandford Reviews

"Really enjoyed our stay! The hot tub was fantastic and the location was perfect for catching the sea views easily."
Emma - Mar 2025
"Good overall, just wish the shower pressure was better."
Harper - Feb 2025
"We stayed from 15th to 18th November and honestly, the caravan was surprisingly warm and comfy, even in late autumn. There was loads for the kids to do, which kept them happy. Only downside was everything seemed to come with an extra charge, which added up quickly. The restaurant was a bit pricey for what it was, but overall, we enjoyed ourselves!"
Emma Clarke - Nov 2024
"We had a lovely stay at Chestnut Way 5. The caravan was super cosy and really comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen that made cooking easy. Both showers were consistently hot and refreshing and the heating system warmed the place up quickly and efficiently. Wifi wasnt the strongest, but it was manageable. The only minor hiccup was a slight smell after using the loos or draining water, but it was brief and didnt ruin our holiday at all. Overall, a great experience!"
James - Nov 2024
"Our Sandford review: Weve used similar vans before, but this one felt pretty tired. The kitchen drawers were stuck, the bathroom fittings were rusty and the curtains didnt match. The grill shelf was missing and the tin opener was useless. Not quite what we expected, honestly."
Emma Carter - Oct 2024
"Very user-friendly site, loads of info and booking was straightforward too."
Emma Carter - Sep 2024
"We stayed at Bulbury for a short getaway and found it quite charming despite its size. The trailer was a bit musty at first, probably because all the windows were shut tight, but airing it out sorted that. It was spotless and the beds had fresh linen, which was lovely. We did have a couple of minor issues- the door hinges squeaked so loudly we thought wed wake the kids if we had to use the loo at night. Luckily, reception sorted it out the same day. Also, the curtain rail fell down, but again, that was fixed quickly. The kitchen was pretty basic, but as long as you read the site and pack what you need, its totally manageable. Wed stay again!"
Jamie - Sep 2024
"We stayed in a pretty modern caravan that felt quite spacious inside, which was nice. The main bedroom with the en-suite was a good size and the second smaller room with two beds was perfect for the kids. The main bathroom had a decent shower and the sofa in the lounge cleverly turned into a double bed-definitely handy. That said, the sofa had cigarette burns in a few spots, which was a bit disappointing. Also, it was clear the cleaning staff didn't put much effort into tidying up corners-there were hairs and dust left behind quite often. WiFi was decent, but with everyone on site trying to use it, streaming Netflix or booking tickets became a bit of a nightmare. Still, overall, we enjoyed our stay."
Jess Carter - Aug 2024
"We recently stayed here as a group of 12, split between the Corfe and Durlston caravans. Honestly, the Corfe being the newer one, I expected a bit more-like two bathrooms and a larger veranda similar to Durlston. The outdoor furniture was quite disappointing too; just mismatched pieces that looked like they were pulled from a spare cupboard. If youre planning to work remotely from the caravan, forget it, as the indoor signal was practically non-existent. That said, inside the caravans, everything was clean and really cosy and despite the remote location, wed definitely come back again!"
Emma Clarke - Jul 2024
"We stayed at the lodge recently and honestly, there were a few issues. The bikini from the last guests was still hanging in the en suite, plus food was under the dining table and empty cans by the hot tub. Not ideal!"
Emma - Jul 2024
"We stayed in a pretty tidy caravan, which was quite presentable overall. The furniture was simple but did the job. The veranda wasnt secured for dogs, which caught us off guard, but we sorted it ourselves with some help from a local DIY shop. Just a heads up for future visitors - securing verandas for dog-friendly vans would be a good idea."
Emma Carter - Jun 2024
"The lodge was spacious and comfortable, really loved the vibe! Just wished they provided some basic cleaning supplies."
Emma Carter - Jun 2024
"Overall, the caravan suited our needs pretty well. The kitchen was nice with a decent fridge and freezer, which was handy. We did find it a bit dusty under the settee when we moved things around and there was a bag with someone elses stuff that shouldve been cleaned out. We ended up leaving it behind. The place was quite dirty initially and we had to give it a good clean, especially with a two-year-old, as cleanliness matters. Despite that, wed probably rent again - just hope for a cleaner next time!"
Emma Carter - Jun 2024
"Great stay, everything we needed was there, very comfortable!"
Emma - May 2024
"We had such a lovely stay! Wimborne Lodge was spot on-super clean and really well stocked with everything we needed. The hot tubs were checked regularly, which was reassuring and when we had a tiny leak from the heated towel rail, it was sorted out straight away-really impressed with the quick service. The beds werent the comfiest, but honestly, they did the job for a holiday. The location was perfect; close enough to the main entertainment, arcade and restaurant for our little one to walk, but far enough to enjoy some peace and quiet without loud music blaring. All in all, a cracking break!"
Emily - May 2024
"Great stay, plenty to explore, wed happily come back again!"
Emma - Apr 2024
"We recently stayed in this caravan and honestly, it was perfect for our family. Plenty of space for six, well-equipped kitchen and the kids loved having their own bedrooms. Definitely recommend for a comfy holiday!"
Alex - Apr 2024
"We love the spot and the parks lovely, thats why we keep coming back. But honestly, considering what we paid, it didnt feel like good value for money this time around."
Emma Carter - Apr 2024
"The caravan was lovely and had everything we needed. Just a heads-up, the oven heats up slowly, so plan ahead to avoid delays. Overall, quite happy!"
James - Feb 2024
"The park was lovely and the staff really made us feel welcome. The lodge, though, couldve been cleaner - greasy kitchen areas and grubby sofas. The mattress needs replacing too. Still, we enjoyed it!"
Mark - Nov 2023
"We had an awesome time! Everything was perfect from start to finish."
Alex - Nov 2023
"Our recent holiday was quite enjoyable overall. I travelled with my granddaughter and she absolutely loved the pools and all the activities on offer. One evening, we went to the show and, when we came out, it was pitch dark. For some reason, we ended up wandering around the touring and camping site instead of heading to our static caravan. We must have walked around for nearly two hours in the dark, totally LOST. Luckily, a kind young lady spotted us and guided us back to the caravan. After that little adventure, we decided to use the car for getting around, which made things much easier. I do think a bit more signage from the camping area to the main site would help prevent others from getting so lost!"
Charlotte - Nov 2023
"We recently stayed at the park and overall, it was a pretty decent experience. The location and the caravan were spot on and the facilities on-site matched what was listed online. The swimming pool was a hit with the kids, though it was a bit disappointing that the slide wasnt working during our visit. The band system also seemed a bit temperamental, which was a bit frustrating, especially when trying to get in and out of the pool quickly. Its probably worth pre-booking activities if youre visiting in high season since spots fill up fast. The restaurant staff were lovely, really friendly and helpful, which made a difference. The complex itself felt warm and welcoming, but the food service could do with a bit more organisation - some things were warm, others barely cooked and the plates werent always hot. The bar staff seemed a bit slow, especially when ordering food, so maybe more staff or splitting areas might help. Still, wed come back!"
Emma - Nov 2023
"Honestly, we were pretty disappointed with our stay. The food from the main restaurant was decent, but the caravan was a mess when we arrived - dirt everywhere and no clean sheets since reception was closed. We had to go buy our own! The communal areas were quite filthy too. The staff were lovely but clearly stretched thin, probably because of the busy Half Term period. They really need more staff so everything doesnt shut early. It was just a bit frustrating."
Jamie - Nov 2023
"Really pleased with the price! The facilities were spot on and we loved how welcoming the site was for dogs."
Emma - Nov 2023
"We had a fantastic time! The site was spotless and well-maintained, with plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. The mobile home was spacious and really comfortable. Would definitely visit again!"
Emma Clarke - Nov 2023
"Really enjoyed staying here, it felt super cosy and inviting."
Emma - Jul 2023
"Stayed for a weekend with my girls. Accommodation was clean through out, beds comfy, but could of done with a thinner quilt. Location perfect for beaches and Corfe. Will certainly be back"
Denise - Jul 2022
"We had a lovely time! The only reason it’s a 9 not a 10 is because you’re limited to time in the pool. We had planned for a pool day as if abroad and we got an hour. Otherwise the facilities and park were lovely."
Shannon - Jul 2022
"Great site plenty to do in and around the area. Lovely Lodge and a well kept clean site. ?"
Stephen - Jul 2022
"Had a great time at Sandford Holiday Park. We were there during the heat wave, so the outdoor pool was much needed and used! It is a lovely site, situated amongst trees and pines. Nice walks up through the woods and back even on the hottest days. The nearest beach was about a 10 minute drive away at Hamworthy, but it is worth it when you get there. A very quiet stretch of beach with just a few paddle-boarders in the water. Actually went for a swim in the sea (first time in about 30 years!). We had a really lovely holiday and I would give the site 10 out of 10."
Peter - Jul 2022
"The Staff made this holiday for us they were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much for them they went up and beyond to help.Even to the staff on the ticket shop who was so nice to the children when they cashed the weeks tickets and asked them what colours they wanted.Every night the security staff would ask if we were o.k and chatted as we went into the show bar. When the children did activities they were encouraged which brought out the best in them.So can I thank all the staff at Sandford for a very happy and relaxing holiday. We certainly will come back."
