Chapterhouse at Cathedral View Reviews

Rachel - Apr 2025
We really enjoyed our recent stay in wells, was such beautiful views from the pod, amazing place to relax and short distances to shops and cathedral, will definitely stay again!
Alistair - Jan 2025
The location, the cabin, the hot tub was everything I hoped it would be. On arrival the cabin was nice and warm and spotlessly clean. A lovely complementary bottle of Prosecco was also left on the side which was a nice touch. The cabin had everything we needed and the information pack answered all our questions. The hot tub was easy to use and plenty of logs were provided. There was plenty of privacy as the other cabins were well spaced apart. Wells centre was only a short walk away so everything was perfect. I only wish I had booked an extra night. Never mind maybe next time.
Duncan - Oct 2024
We arrived on Friday 11th October with our labrador for a 3 night stay to celebrate my birthday. On arrival the wood burning hot tub had very thoughtfully been pre-lit by our friendly host Michael. The view from the pod of surrounding fields with an outstanding view of Wells Cathedral was fabulous. The pod was enclosed by a wooden picket fence which meant our dog was safely confined, however the surrounding fields provided plenty of space for walks and running free. We all had a very enjoyable stay. Thanks go to our host Michael.
Donna - Aug 2024
My husband and I stayed in a pod for the weekend at chapter house as an anniversary gift from our daughters and it didnt disappoint. The pod was easy to access with a key box just outside the door, the code is text to you a few days before your stay so you dont have to fuss meeting people for the keys. It was clean and comfortable and had little finishing touches which made it feel homely. It was surprisingly very warm inside even without the heating on. The hot tub was a bonus was so easy to use and was secluded. Im not a camper at all but glamping Id happily do again, the pod included a good sized bathroom with toilet sink and shower, a microwave and hob, a kettle and toaster and a bbq in the lovely fenced off garden space complete with table and chairs. It was so peaceful and just a short walk to wells town. Would definitely recommend.
Helena - Jun 2024
Fantastic location. Lots of nearby walks. Town very dog friendly. Pod cosy and comfortable with all amenities provided. Enclosed outside area perfect for relaxing with my dog. Will definitely go back again. Highly recommended.
Joanne - Feb 2024
Had a wonderful time staying at the chapterhouse. Had everything we needed. Hot tub was brilliant even on a drizzly day. Just a short walk across the field and youre in town. The owner of the farm Michael was great, couldnt do enough for us. Would love to come back soon. Thank you!
Natalie - Jan 2024
Our stay at chapter house was brilliant, with a view of the cathedral. Upon arrival everything was clean and essentials was provided for us which was great. The bed was sooo comfy with a nice shower and the hot tub was lush. Chapter house is located a 5 min walk into wells. Was just a perfect stay just after Christmas, thank you for having us and we would deffo come back.
Guest - Dec 2023
Excellent accommodation, perfect location with easy access to everything. Little touches were amazing, from the prosecco, hot chocolate and biscuits to the Christmas decorations. Will definitely return.
Lisa - Oct 2023
We had a wonderful stay at Chapterhouse, the location was ideal. Just a short walk into Wells, as well as some lovely walks around the local area. Michael was a great host and was quick to reply to any questions we had during our stay.
Tony - Sep 2023
The view was brilliant hot tub was great, location 5 minutes walk to town and wells cathedral. Would highly recommend for comfort and value.
Gary - Sep 2023
The pod was clean tidy and had sufficient space for two adults and a large dog. The views of the Cathedral from the enclosed garden were stunning. The welcome pack was a nice addition. The hot tub was easy to use. Will be returning.
James - Aug 2023
Booked for a week getaway with my partner and dog, absolutely fab. Great place, perfect walks into Wells and around for the dog. Lovely host. Soon to be 3 pods next to each other, but the spacing between each maintains a good amount of privacy. The hampers were great and gave us some lovely surprises on arrival too. Would recommend + will be booking again.
Michael - Aug 2023
A perfect weekend getaway for my partner and I. Ideal for our small sausage dog. The cabin was amazing - clean, modern, comfy! And the amenities (hot tub, fire pit, WiFi etc) were all in working order and made the stay incredible. We soaked in the hot tub under the stars for a once-in-a-lifetime evening. Thank you!
Ashleigh-Marie - Jul 2023
Had a lovely stay, chapterhouse was clean and comfortable. Michael was very welcoming, would definitely recommend.
Michelle - Jun 2023
LOVELY RELAXING BREAK, FAB VIEW QUITE LOCATION YET 10MINS WALK TO CENTRE OF WELLS, GREAT FOR DOGS WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND AND WILL DEFINITELY RE-VISIT.
Gemma - Apr 2023
The Cathedral View eco pod was a lovely place to stay. The location was superb, it felt very private with a great view - but was also less than 10 minutes easy walk to the amenities in Wells. The wood fired hot tub was actually very easy to use, and it was great to have such a plentiful supply of wood. The pod itself was cosy, comfortable and well-kitted out, better than many much larger holiday cottages. When the sun was out we relaxed on the deck, and when it rained we could relax inside and listen to the rain. A great getaway.
Lorraine - Apr 2023
Chapter House Cathedral View was really lovely absolutely beautiful setting view of Wells Cathedral fenced in so safe for dogs, very private got everything you need for a relaxing stay and lovely hot tub. Small bottle of milk in the fridge on arrival and 2 small bottles of prosecco lovely little touch.
Kayla - Feb 2023
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at chapter house in December. The lodge was clean, comfortable & provided us with everything we needed for our stay. A 5 minute walk took us into Wells town centre which was really lovely. Would definitely recommend & would definitely stay here again. Thank you!
Peter - Jan 2023
The place was even better than it looked in the pictures. Perfect for the two of us with the dog. Really close to the centre and you still felt you were in the middle of the countryside, best of both worlds. Would highly recommend.
