Gilfach Holiday Apartments Reviews

"We really enjoyed our stay here! The apartments are beautifully furnished and the views are stunning, especially with the hot tubs that are all yours for private use - such a nice touch. The site itself is quite small but offers plenty to do, plus some lovely walks nearby. The bar was only open a few hours, which makes sense given its low season, so no worries there. A couple of things wed suggest: adding a mattress protector for extra comfort and maybe some privacy screening between the hot tubs. We get they want to keep the views open, but a little bamboo fence or foliage could make a big difference when everyones soaking at the same time. Overall, a lovely peaceful spot with just a few tweaks needed!"

Emma - Nov 2024

"Really enjoyed our visit, definitely coming back soon!"
Emma - Nov 2023
"We stayed nearby in New Quay and found a lovely spot called The Pepper Pot, which is totally dog friendly-definitely worth checking out for a good meal. The location is perfect for beach and cliff walks right from the property, with stunning views of the sea and fields. The chalet itself was a bit cosy and the walls are quite thin, so we could hear the TV from next door, but it didnt bother us too much. The bed was really comfy and the sofa was just right for relaxing. We felt it was great value for money, especially for couples with a dog looking for a quiet getaway. Also, there was no signal, which we actually enjoyed-it helped us really unwind. Wed happily come back again, we had a lovely time!"
Olivia - Nov 2023
"Absolutely loved the serene atmosphere and stunning scenery. Everything was spotless and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. Brilliant break!"
Emma - Nov 2023
"Great vibe, lovely staff, will definitely come back!"
James - Nov 2023
"We went for a chilled-out holiday with relaxation as the main aim and honestly, it didnt disappoint. We booked through Hoseasons, snagging what seemed like an amazing deal, which was a nice surprise. Upon arrival, Debbie greeted us at reception with a friendly smile, handed over the keys and shared some handy tips for our stay. The apartment was spotless and really comfy - we knew instantly wed made a good choice. Everything we needed was there, including little touches like complimentary coffee pods, a bottle of bubbly and some local beers (which was a lovely touch!). Lucky for us, most of the other apartments in our block were empty as everyone else had already headed home, so it was pretty peaceful. The only weather hiccup was a rainy Wednesday, so we stayed in, watched the storm roll by and took it easy. The scenery in west Wales was stunning - I bet its bustling in summer, but out of season its perfect. Dont let the new 20mph limits put you off; they didnt bother us at all. We're already thinking about coming back soon!"
Jamie - Nov 2023
"Great spot, lovely place to stay. Already booked for next year, we cant wait!"
Jamie - Nov 2023
"We loved the cosy vibe of the place and the stunning views really made our stay special. The staff were so friendly and helpful, which made everything even better. Only downside was the mattress-way too firm for us, but I guess some might like it! Definitely a great spot to chill out."
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
"The place is perfect for a relaxing break, with stunning sea views and a handy location too."
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
"We had a fantastic time staying here! The location is spot on, with breathtaking views and plenty of nearby towns worth exploring. The coastal walk from the village to New Quay is simply stunning. Its so peaceful on site, perfect if you want a break from the busy world. Highly recommend!"
Emma Rogers - Nov 2023
"Beautiful setting, loved it"
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
"We had a lovely stay! The coastal walks were stunning and the pool and tennis kept us entertained. Loved having a picnic bench outside for those sunny evenings. Definitely recommend!"
Sammy - Nov 2023
"We really enjoyed our stay and cant deny, the view was stunning! The staff were genuinely friendly, helpful and seemed to know their stuff. The chalet had a couple of issues - the toaster was out of action and the kitchen blind was taped up, which was a bit odd. We didnt bother mentioning it at the time since they seemed busy, but overall, we had a fantastic holiday. Big thanks to the awesome staff!"
Emma Clarke - Nov 2023
"Absolutely loved the stunning scenery and peaceful vibes. Plenty of walks to enjoy nearby. Highly recommend!"
Emma - Nov 2023
"We really enjoyed our stay, escaping the busy crowds at other places. The staff were lovely and gave us good tips. Only downside was the shower pressure-barely a drip-and the sofas were a bit low for us older folks, making it a bit tricky to get up. Still, a nice break!"
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
"We had a pretty good stay overall. Gilfach is a charming little spot with a cosy pub and a games room, which was handy. The chalet itself was nicely decorated and quite comfy, so no complaints there. The main issue for us was the location of Ty Haf, right opposite Reception and at a busy junction. There were no blinds on the front windows facing the road, which meant passers-by could see straight in. We noticed other chalets had blinds on the windows facing the road, so its a bit baffling why ours didnt. Honestly, it felt like living in a goldfish bowl - no privacy at all, which was a bit of a let down."
Emma - Nov 2023
"We stayed at this charming cottage and loved how cosy it was. Everything we needed was there and the location was perfect for exploring. The only downside was the hot tub area, which could use some screening for privacy and the main door window needs a blind. Still, a lovely stay!"
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
"Beautiful spot, cosy inside and breathtaking scenery all around."
Emma - Nov 2023
"Overall, quite pleased, but the shower pressure is pretty weak. Its functional, but dont plan on a speedy rinse - takes longer than usual."
Mark - Oct 2023
"Really enjoyed our stay here, the chalet was spotless and had everything we needed for comfort."
Emma - Jun 2023
"While the views aren't as stunning as the ones further down, the chalet was spotlessly clean and super comfy. Being opposite reception did mean a bit of foot traffic, which wasn't ideal with our energetic dogs, but overall, a good stay and well-equipped for self-catering!"
Emily - Jun 2023
"Pretty much everything we needed was available, but no Wi-Fi."
Sarah - May 2023
"We had a great stay at the gold chalet, honestly, it ticked pretty much all the boxes. Everything we needed was provided, including a free highchair for our little one, which was a nice touch. The info pack was super handy - it listed local supermarkets, beaches (even the dog-friendly ones), laundrettes and local shops like the milk bar, so we felt quite settled. My only tiny gripe was the cobwebs here and there, which are easy to overlook and the en suite shower wasnt spotless - some mini shampoos and soap scum were left behind. Still, overall, it was fantastic and were gutted theres no availability for summer!!"
Sophie - May 2023
"The place was really tidy and super comfy, felt warm and inviting. Bed was especially nice, loved it! x"
Emma - Jan 1970
"We had a fantastic stay at this charming cottage. Its perfectly tucked away yet still close to shops and local spots. The hot tub was a real highlight and the underfloor heating kept everything super cosy. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel so welcome - well be back soon!"
Oliver - May 2025
