The facilities are excellent - there are two bars and a bistro on the park as well as a bowling green and tennis courts.

Fishing and riding are both available locally and Penrhos Park also has an indoor heated swimming pool, leisure centre, gym, steam room, sauna and solarium. You can take advantage of a challenging 18 hole golf course or a 9 hole par 3 or par 4 course with a driving range and reduced green fees. We recommend the Osprey and the Kestrel VIP lodges, both with their own private decking areas and gorgeous outdoor hot tubs. Osprey VIP sleeps up to six people and the master double has an ensuite bathroom. It's a truly outstanding two storey, Scandinavian style log cabin - spacious, luxurious and beautifully equipped.

There are plenty of beaches along Cardigan Bay and you can take a wildlife boat trip from New Quay and be almost certain to spot grey seals and porpoises. Take a bike ride along the beautiful Dysynnii Valley near Twywn - it's virtually traffic-free so completely safe for cyclists and walkers. For a bit of light refreshment, the Lamb & Flag Inn at Rhayader serves real ale and home cooked meals.

Emily - Nov 2023
"We had a really relaxing stay overall. The park is stunning and kept in great condition and the staff couldnt be more helpful. The caravan was a good size for our family of five-three kids and two adults-and the furniture was comfy and sturdy, which is always a plus. The only thing that was a bit frustrating was the lack of some kitchen equipment, like enough crockery and a missing shelf in the oven, which made cooking a bit tricky. Some door handles werent quite right, but it didnt cause any real problems. The swimming pool was fantastic and the food at the restaurant was absolutely top notch. Would definitely recommend, but we kinda want to keep it just for ourselves!"
James - Nov 2023
"Park was lovely and quiet exactly what we wanted. Pool was great and lady at reception really helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay. Jo"
Joanne - Aug 2022
"Penrhos is a caravan park on a golf course, which made for beautiful green surroundings. The location is lovely, staff all really helpful and welcoming. There is no WiFi at all, so leave those devices and have a break. Shops, takeaways etc. are about twenty minutes away so ensure you have enough provisions for your first night before venturing out. We never ate at the restaurant but the gin was fantastic and staff were so lovely and helpful. My children enjoyed the pool most days as well, there is a jacuzzi as well. We all really enjoyed Penrhos and would visit again."
Dominique - Aug 2022
"We had a lovely time at Penrhos. The caravan was clean, the pool was brilliant and the food was really good quality. The park was quiet and tucked away and there is a lovely walk down to the beach and village of llanrhystud. The children’s play park is geared for very young children and could do with children's swings and perhaps a climbing frame for the 4-10 year old age groups. The Wi-Fi is poor and a bit of a let down but overall a lovely holiday and we would definately come again"
Array - Aug 2022
"Lovely clean and well kept park friendly staff great food lovely accommodation have already booked for next year"
Emma - Jul 2022
"Nice area, facilities are good, cleanliness of caravan not great, found a vape from previous guests down between the seats in lounge, and other cleaning issues"
Stuart - Jul 2022
"Another amazing stay at Penrhos. Loved the new lodges interior and addition of WiFi to the lodges was a bonus for the kids. Will be back again"
Gill - Jul 2022
"We had a lovely week at Penrhos Park, staying in Kestrel 1. Weather was fantastic all week so we didn't really use the onsite facilities. The lodge gets the sun all day out the front from dawn til dusk with beautiful views of the Welsh hills. The location was just right for us - 5 mins drive to a lovely little pebble beach, perfect for paddle boarding and catching small waves. Aberystwyth is 20 mins away with all the shops you could need and Aberaeron is 10 mins with it's lovely restaurants and fish and chips! The lodge was clean, spacious and comfortable with a TV in the lounge and master bedroom, hot tub was lovely. Double bed comfy, singles not so. Kitchen could use basic items like a baking tray and oven gloves. All staff were really friendly but restaurant service was a bit disappointing. There's a new take-away menu on the website but when we tried to order we were told only pizza was available. The pizza was okay, nothing special, we felt it was a bit overpriced. Tried to get lunch on the terrace one day and was told they were only doing rolls and a bag of crisps - we went elsewhere. All in all a fab holiday and somewhere we would come again, a few simple tweaks would make it perfect!"
Sarah - Jul 2022
"Excellent park with great swimming pool, spa, steam room and sauna. The accommodation was lovely and clean. Highly recommended. Limited activities for young kids/teens as no children's clubs or evening entertainment."
Nilesh - Jul 2022
"For a family wanting a quiet location with great facilities and great staff, look no further. The park is very quiet and you have free access to the swimming pool and gym. The restaurant is small but the food was fantastic. Be aware that you have to drive most places for attractions etc though. We will be back for sure."
Frank - Jul 2022
"Wonderful resort so peaceful central to all beaches in the west wales area and totally child friendly. Lodge was superb 5 ?????"
Lisa - Jul 2022
"Beautiful find for a relaxed long weekend in wonderful surroundings"
Eileen - Jul 2022
"Wonderful place with wonderful staff!"

When the weather is nice this attraction is perfect as you can wander around and admire the superb range of exotic trees and shrubs.  They look different at different times of the year but one of the most popular times to see them is in Autumn.  With various events throughout the year such as Apple Weekend there is always something new to experience.  You can watch a 90 second film about this attraction on their website which is excellent.
