Damson Lodge Reviews

Emma Clarke - Aug 2024
Beautiful place, highly recommend it
Charlie - Aug 2024
Wow, Damson Lodge really is a great spot for all generations. The dog-friendly garden was perfect for our pupand the hot tub was a lovely touch. Ali & Tom are genuinely lovely hosts, clearly passionate about their retro place. The huge gardens kept the kids busyand there was plenty of indoor and outdoor stuff to do. Honestly, they made our summer holiday special. Their place is one-of-a-kind and honestly hard to beat. We'll definitely be coming back!
Emily - Jul 2024
We really enjoyed our stay at Damson Lodge. The house is super well-equipped with all the little extras, like fresh eggs and bread when we arrived-such a lovely touch! There's tons of games for both inside and outside, plus a brilliant hot tub and showers that are just divine. We did venture out to explore-Blackpool was lively, but we also loved the peaceful vibes in Lytham St Anne's and Fleetwood. Overall, a cracking holiday!
Mark - Jul 2024
We've stayed in quite a few holiday homes, but this one really stands out. Well stocked, great for all agesand the hosts are lovely!
Lucy - Jul 2024
Just got back from an awesome weekend at Damson Lodge with my friends. The place was so spacious and really beautifully decorated, especially with that funky 70's vibe. Everything we needed was there, plus some extras! The garden was super private, perfect for chilling in the hot tub or eating outside with those incredible field views. Tom and Ali were brilliant hosts - really friendly and welcoming. Honestly, we loved it and can't wait to come back!
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
We really enjoyed our stay here! The hot tub was just what we needed, especially in Novemberand we loved relaxing by the fire pit with a warm drink. Tom and Ali went out of their way to help, making our trip extra special. Honestly, you won't regret renting this place-fantastic experience all round!
Alex - Oct 2023
Damson Lodge feels cosy and welcoming. Tom and Ali really know how to create a great atmosphere. The place has so much charm and style.
Emily Carter - Aug 2023
Damson Lodge truly impressed us. It's in a lovely spot and feels really homey. The owners kept checking in just enough without being overbearing, which was nice. The beds were super comfy and smelled fresh, as were the quality towels. The welcome pack was really generous and a great start. The kitchen had everything we needed-nothing missing at all. We're already planning our next visit and definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a cosy getaway!
Emma - Sep 2022
Damson Lodge is a fantastic find. The setting is super peaceful, making it perfect for relaxing, yet close enough to Blackpool's lively Golden Mile if you're after some excitement. Tom and Ali greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. We didn't want to leave! Honestly, we're already planning to come back next year. Huge thanks to Tom and Ali for a lovely stay. Can't wait to return!
Sam - Sep 2022
We had a lovely stay at this place! The home is really comfortable and well-equipped, perfect for a relaxing break. Our dogs loved making new friends, though we're not sure what the bulls thought about them! We're seriously thinking of getting a hot tub now - it looked amazing. Tom and Ali were so friendly and helpful, always ready to assist via text. We couldn't have asked for a smoother, more enjoyable trip. Plus, it's handy for Blackpool, Liverpooland Manchester, with plenty of pubs around. Highly recommend!
James - Jun 2022
The house looked just like the photos - really lovely and peaceful spot. The hosts were super friendly and checked in to make sure we were okay. There's plenty to do, whether you're with family or just a group of mates!
Jamie - May 2022
We loved the spacious house, perfect for our family of eight. It never felt cramped, thanks to the big rooms and outdoor space - everyone had room to breathe. The owners were really welcoming, taking the time to show us around and explain how everything worked. Overall, a lovely stay, we'd definitely come back!

Happy Mount Park - LA4 5AQ
about 12 Miles
Happy Mount Park has attractions for the whole family including several play areas, a miniature railway, crazy golf, putting green and trampolines, there is also a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around in the summer and a café where the adults can relax with a drink. During the summer months and especially during school holidays live music can often be enjoyed.
Bowland Wild Boar Park - PR3 2QT
about 17 Miles
Head for the Bowland Wild Boar park and we don't think you will be disappointed.  A popular attraction in Preston there is so much to do for the whole family.  From picnics, walks and wildlife to experiencing feeding the animals you are sure to have a memorable day out.  Also popular is the kids tractor play area.  For rest and relaxation the cafe is ideal serving hot drinks and snacks with a lovely view over the pond and wildlife feeding station.  The Forest of Bowland has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
South Lakes Safari Zoo - LA12 0LU
about 19 Miles

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals.  Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area.  Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos.  At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed.  Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.

Lakeland Wildlife Oasis - LA6 1JH
about 21 Miles
Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction.  With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun.  You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money.  There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.
Rydal Mount & Gardens - LA22 9LU
about 36 Miles
Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.
Gulliver's World Theme Park - WA5 9YZ
about 38 Miles
This is a very popular theme park with three different locations.  The theme park in Warrington contains not only the theme park but also Gullivers Splash Zone and Gullivers Star Studios.  The Solash Zone is a fully heated indoor water play factory fun for all ages which will appeal on rainy days.  Throughout the year there are seasonal events too such as the Halloween and Fireworks event taking place from 23rd to 31st October.  You can book online to save time and secure your tickets during busy periods.  Over 50% of the rides are actually under cover so you don't need to worry about the British weather spoiling the fun.
