Bainbridge Ings Reviews

A lovely little shepherds hut. Just needs somewhere to dry wet coats and boots.
Vicky - Jan 2024
We've just got back from a 4 night stay over the new year with our 2 children and 2 dogs and absolutely loved it. We stayed in the Ingleborough which had an enclosed garden which was perfect for the dogs and the hot tub was just what we needed after long walks and was checked and cleaned every morning. We would highly recommend and will definately be back ?
Natalie - Jan 2024
When we arrived it was dark already, we unpacked the car and headed in.Herdwick is perfect for a couple having a getaway. Has a hot tub which is maintained by on site staff, a picnic bench. The entrance is surrounded a privacy fence all around. It is a small lodge with a king size bed, a sofa, small dining table and kitchen. The kitchen has a built-in microwave with a induction hob above it. There is also a built-in fridge with a small freezer compartment. There is a bathroom with a walk in shower. We did find that the toilet cistern was dripping due to the temperature differences.Overall we had a great time, would recommend for couples with no kids or maybe a small baby with a travel cot.Sadly, on the booking website it says dogs for a small few which turns out that this lodge in particular does not allow dogs. Which is a shame as we booked this because it said dog allowed.
Michael - Jan 2024
Very clean, more toilet roll needed.
Kirsten - Jan 2024

Donna - Jan 2024

Margaret - Dec 2023

Gemma - Dec 2023
a great stay would recommend, the scenery was amazing.
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
Very clean, peaceful, great for a relaxing break
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
The property needed some work done to it the bathroom floor was sinking and the water would not drain from the bath, mattress was badly stained and sheets didnt fit properly, various items in kitchen were missing. The decking and steps to the property were very slippery and the steps could have done with hand rails either side. Overall the stay was lovely but just need the issues reviewing.
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
Second time we have visited here and will go back again. Room with a view for sure!!! Perfect location for exploring the surrounding area. If you kive waterfalls and cheese this is the place for you! Staff so helpful and polite couldn't get WiFi sadly but the hot tub and Comfy beds made up for that Will be back next year :)
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
POD was fantastic perfect size, warm and tidy
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
No wardrobe so no were to hang cloths stopped in an exactly the same kind at stokesley and they had a wardrobe with the fold down table could do with the curtains sorted some dropping of curtain rails
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
Nice location ideal for people with dogs nice and safe area around the pod
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
Fabulous location, amazing views. Lovely clean accomodation. Will be returning.
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
Even though it said 4 persons that wouldn't be 4 adults as the two beds upstairs are really only big enough for 2 children. But saying that it was good for the time spent there (4 nights). Could of done with a small type of oven.
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
Friendly and beautiful place would recommend
Vicky - Nov 2023
A beautiful location, short walk to town, sizeable accommodation and helpful and friendly staff, enjoyed our stay.
Verena - Nov 2023
Nice lodge in a lovely area, rained all weekend but didnt spoil it ( waterfalls were great). Will be back in the Spring
Tim - Nov 2023
VIP Pod cosy and had everything needed but to be truthful it did need some TLC in places. (ie wall paper coming away, springs gone in mattress, surfaces needed wiping over)Positives outweigh any Negatives, anyone thinking of booking will generally have a good experience, we had a lovely stay.Hot tub was great.TV works fine and Internet connection also good despite previous negative comments, parks WIFI not the strongest but own data with o2 network fine.
Paul - Nov 2023
Dated Lodge. Poor standards. Flooring. Kitchen. Cobwebs and spiders on ceilings.
Neil - Nov 2023
The WiFi was poor but the rest of the holiday was great

Weekend away doing the Yorkshire 3 peaks. The lodge was perfect for a couple and the hot tub was a bonus after doing the 3 peaks. Alan & Tina were very helpful on site and before arrival. Would recommend to any couple wanting a break away.
Ben - Nov 2023
Set in beautiful location. Accommodation was clean & adequate for a 4 day stay.
Barbara - Nov 2023
We had a lovely time here. Bigger than I thought it would be. Lovely secure field to walk the dog.Short walk to Hawes.Hot tub lovely after a day walking, and great views.
Anita and steve - Nov 2023
We had a lovely stay and would definitely return - have recommended to family and friends. I do feel the pod was looking a little tired in areas such as skirting boards and the bottom of the curtains - but didn't ruin the stay (just giving as feedback).
Alex - Nov 2023
Great place .hot tub badly situated privacy a massive problem
Alexander - Nov 2023
The location of the park was ideal, being a 10-15 minute walk from Hawes. The facilities of the accommodation were good for a comfortable self-catering stay, with fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave and 2 electric hobs. It was cosy with a confy bed and the towel rail in the bathroom was great for drying towels and swimming costumes after use with the hot tub (which was fanatstic and nicely private). The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful 3 nights here and would definitely recommend.
Val - Aug 2022
Loved every second off it.
Joanna - Aug 2022
Went here for our honeymoon were greeted as soon as we arrived. The staff were really friendly The lodge was small but ok for the both of us and hot tub was well maintained and red hot deffo will be back on the future
Vicki - Jul 2022
A lovely place hot tub amazing beautiful scenery pubs good and cafes but not a lot to do if you’re not into walking.
Lynda - Jul 2022
We stayed for two nights and it was the perfect little getaway! The staff were extremely helpful in showing us round and showing us how to use the hot tub and were very approachable. The place itself was lovely and clean and the little village was just a short walk away with lovely shops and pubs. Would definitely recommend this place!
Katie - Jul 2022
Location was perfect Handy little walk to Hawes for cafes, restaurants, pubs and convenience stores Good base location for many different walks and site seeing
Jordan - Jul 2022
Had a 3-day minimoon after our wedding here, and it was to dream for! What a lovely holiday, gorgeous little holiday home, well equipped, clean, peaceful... And that hot tub! Just unbelievably delightful. And any questions, the lovely staff were always available and helpful. The views around are lovely, and all that one can hear are the cattle and sheep in the distance. There's a short walk to Hawes town, and other many accesses to different country walks. We're so sad it is over, that we are planning our next stay here again this year and it has become one of our favourites.
Isabel - Jul 2022
Beautiful surroundings if your looking for a peaceful tranquil place to stay with the only sound of sheep Baa’s ?

Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction.  With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun.  You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money.  There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.

This is a recommended day out for families with young children visiting the Bedale area of Yorkshire.  Visit the farm and receive a warm welcome as well as a guided tour.  You will have the chance to bottle feed the lambs, bath a pig and handle some of the smaller animals.  Kids will love the big sandpit and the outdoor play area. There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.
Lightwater Valley - HG4 3HT

Situated in the Ripon area of North Yorkshire this popular theme park makes a fantastic day out for the whole family.  The more daring will love the big and thrilling rides such as Raptor Attack, The Ultimate and Trauma Tower.  For the little ones there are some excellent attractions such as Flying Camels, Dodgems and a Magic Wheel.  Toddlers will like the Dragon Boats and the Lightwater Express amongst other things. There are over 40 rides and attractions in total and we think this is excellent value for money too.  If you book your tickets in advance online you can save even more money and beat the queues.

Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.

This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
