Lakeview Country Club is a fantastic destination for a lodge holiday in Cornwall and combines an idyllic setting with a wide range of facilities and top quality accommodation. Surrounded by 200 acres of woodland the site has a tranquil and rather exclusive feel. We recommend this park to families and couples looking for a relaxing holiday with plenty of onsite activities.

The grounds of Lakeview Country Club are simply stunning and include 3 fabulous fishing lakes. The site is also abundant with wildlife and children will love spotting the rabbits, squirrels and birds.

Facilities really are first class with something for everyone in the family. A jogging track, driving range, 9 hole golf course and basketball court can all be enjoyed onsite while those wanting to take a slower pace can enjoy the indoor swimming pool, steam room, solarium and pitch and put. For children there is a games room, an adventure play area and a bouncy castle and trampoline. The site also has a lovely club bar with beer garden and terrace restaurant.

Guests at Lakeview Country club can choose from a rage of bungalows or lodges. If a hot tub is a top priority then the Premier A Frame VIP is the one to go for. This luxurious two storey lodge has one twin and one double bedroom, both with ensuite bathrooms. There is additional sleeping space for 2 in the lounge. The lodge has a open plan contemporary interior and the hot tub is located on the external deck.  VIP Bungalows also have private hot tubs and are larger than the lodges sleeping from 6-8 people.

Where's Waterside Cornwall?
Another great stay. Our 3rd time. Jets in the hot tub were disappointing and the temperature once in did drop quite quickly. Well equipped kitchen, great shower pressure, spacious and we'd defo book again

We had an excellent family holiday. The location was central to many attract. The facilities and accommodation were very clean. The site was quiet at night which suited are needs. The staff and entertainers were excellent. We have a son with autism which staff members spotted and instantly made accommodation for which is something I have never seen before. Absolutely brilliant staff with genuine hearts of gold. Thank you so much!

I booked Waterside Cornwall for a break for myself and my boyfriend, we had been to Cornwall before and wanted somewhere near Newquay and these Lodges were different to a caravan. I booked Waterside 2 lodge. We stayed Monday-Friday. On arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff and offered local directions to any supermarkets we may require and given useful information that we may need throughout our stay.
Our lodge was easy to get to and upon arrival I was very happy with it. I couldn't wait to get inside. The lodge itself was clean throughout and had all the essentials. I knew it had a twin room but I didn't realise that it had an ensuite too, I was pleasantly surprised. The master bedroom was spacious and bed was comfortable. There was plenty of extra items i.e. towels, pillows, coat hangers etc
The kitchen had a washing machine and dishwasher and what i found useful was that the site provided manuals on how to use the appliances, especially the convection cooker which, if you haven't got one at home is perfect as it helps you out. Another thing that I found was good was that the site also provided utensils and bin liners, other sites i've been too haven't done this in the past meaning that i've either had to buy whilst I've been down there or bring from home but the lodge had pretty much everything!
The bathroom was great and the whirlpool bath was a lovely feature! The lodge heated up perfectly too. My only criticism would be the sofas weren't too comfortable and we picked the wrong week to go as the weather wasn't the best but we certainly made the most of it.

Bodmin is 10 minutes from the Lodge.
Newquay is 35 Minutes

There is a Bistro on site and Gym and Sauna too, we didn't experience this so can't comment but looked clean. I would definitely recommend to friends and look into booking again.
Date of stay: 26th June 2017
Our lodge was clean, bright and much larger than we expected.
Beds were very comfortable.
The kitchen had everything you would need to prepare meals.
Hot tub was a great extra, Well maintained with the staff checking it everyday.

Date of stay: 10th September 2016
Great lodge, plenty of room. Yes the carpets are starting to show there age, but the domestic staff do a fantastic job. Some of our carpets had stains, but even the stains were clean, if you know what I mean.

We did have a couple of small issues, which were not sorted. The hot tub had about 20 jets, but only about 6 were working. Reported but not fixed. The full body shower, worked, but the main head, leaked, reported but not fixed. Could we still use them, "YES", did it ruin our holiday, "NO". The lodge was very big and everyone had their own privacy.
Elizabeth, Wirral

Date of stay: 25th July 2015
The location was excellent for a quiet break, but you will need a car to go anywhere else in Cornwall. The site was wonderful, but the bar service was slow. Don't expect much from the on site entertainment. The chalet was spacious and even included an outdoor hot tub. Our chalet had 3 bathrooms, however, these need some TLC especially the floor tiles. The beds were very comfortable

Date of stay: 18th May 2015
Great lodges and very spacious. All the facilities you need for your stay are there and there's a welcome pack for necessities. Very clean, yes a few replacements to the fixtures are needed but we could see that the owners are doing this. Do not let this put you off, it was great. The hot tub was very popular with all and I would definitely return.
Nicola, Bristol
Date of stay: 4th May 2015

Date of stay: 30th March 2015
Great lodge. Clean tidy with excellent facilities. My only criticism would be that there wasn't a proper cooker. Six people cannot eat by fancy microwave oven thing alone.
Georgie, Newport

it was home away from home. better than 5 star hotels all the 8 adults had the privacy too.
plus so much space inside
Margaret, Glasgow
Date of stay: 6th September 2014
We were on holiday as three couples and the space in the bungalow was excellent for 6 adults. Quilts were odd as they were "lumpy" probably from the way they were washed and dried. Surprisingly still had a good sleep despite this. Radiators in the bathrooms were "rusty" and in the en-suite of main bedroom the bath panel was broken. These small things did not stop us from having a great holiday and would definitely book again and recommend it to others.
Terry, Somerset
Date of stay: 6th September 2014
furniture looking a little tired but not off putting ,with constant use you have to expect some wear and tear overall it was only one sofa that needed attention but as for the rest excellent
Claire, Saltash
Date of stay: 3rd September 2014
Lovely lodge clean and very well presented. Could do with a new sofa and need to sort out the hot tub better as when we arrived the first thing we wanted to do was to get in but it was freezing. Couldn't use it till next day which was a disappointment. Lovely maintenance man who rescued us with the bed issue! 10 out of 10 for him.
Date of stay: 2nd September 2014
There were quite a lot of marks on the carpet in the living/dining area, a knob was missing from twin room cabinet drawer; these were minor. The spa bath in the bathroom was disappointing, the jets lacked any real power.
Malcolm, Milton Keynes
Date of stay: 2nd August 2014

Jacqueline, Great Barugh
Date of stay: 14th July 2014
We needed to wash a few things in the washer/drier only the drier did not work. No maintenance person was available until the following day so we ended up having to hand our laundry around the accommodation - not very pretty or relaxing - took the edge off things a bit. The dishwasher door kept falling off and I had to use a knife to secure the handle on one of the cupboards as its screws were so loose it fell off !!! also we ran out of toilet paper as there was no spare rolls. We had to spend an hour reading the instruction manuals (the oven was especially complicated !!) We would have loved to have used the pool but as it was open to everyone to view from reception we felt rather coy(we were three middle aged who are a little overweight so prefer more privacy getting in and out of a pool - shame !!) Maybe only fit young folk are catered for !!
Jemma, Derby
Date of stay: 7th July 2014
The bungalow was beautiful. Only down fall was there was only 6 chairs round a table that accommodated 8 also the bed settee. The mattress was far to thing. As you lay on it could still feel the springs. We went out to but a double air bed. Luckily we had two small children with us who were happy to sleep on the air bed. But the settee bed wasn't fit to sleep on. Other than that. The beds were comfy. The bathrooms were a good size and good layout. We got fresh towels etc. I would stay here again.
Julian, Dorchester
Date of stay: 18th June 2014
Clean, comfortable and fairly well equipt. There wasn't a proper oven (there was a microwave and a microwave oven), though as the weather was so nice we were BBQ-ing and didn't use either in any case. The lodges were very warm at night- it would be an improvement if the windows in the ground floor bedrooms had a small opener/ restrictor etc as my mother was sleeping downstairs and wanted the window open but didn't feel comfortable leaving it wide open all night for security reasons... this is only a very small niggle, she was generally very pleased with the lodge and enjoyed her stay!
Lorna, Reading
Date of stay: 31st May 2014
The location is an ideal base for touring around Cornwall. The lodge was very comfortable but the tv in the bedroom was unacceptably small and should be replaced. My husband and I could barely tellwhat channel it was as the screen was so small! I was disappointed with the pool as the changing rooms weren't clean enough and there were no private cubicles. On one day it was closed for four hours with no explanation from staff as to why and when it would be reopened. One staff member was very warm and helpful but the others made me feel I was getting in the way of their conversation. When I dropped off my key on the last day, the receptionist didn't even look at me while she took it as she was too busy gossiping with someone on the phone about a night out she'd had! That's not just unprofessional, it's rude and left me with a bad last impression which I will remember next time I book for Cornwall. I can't help comparing them with the friendly service at Gwel An Mor.

We found a pair of dirty knickers in the washing machine!!
Absolutely loved it! Accommodation was clean and very spacious for the 4 of us. Pool, restaurant and bar again very clean and well kept. All the staff we came across were so friendly and really looked after us. Evening entertainment was fantastic - Steve was our fave :) Good base for visiting different locations
A lovely base for exploring both north and south Cornwall, very easy to get to. A frame lodge was perfect - very clean and nicely decorated - had everything we needed to cook too! Pool was lovely and warm (and clean) - kids didn't want to get out! Would definitely go back there!
Lovely spacious accommodation. Well spread out from other lodges. Lovely view across green areas.
Loved Waterside. Really impressed with the lovely surroundings and the helpfulness of the staff while we were there. Our lodge was spotless and apart from a bit of boggy ground by our door and car parking space (blame the British weather) we loved it. The beds were comfy, the towels fresh and the linen soft. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing and peaceful stay. At one point we had to check if there was anyone else actually staying as it was so quiet. The main building had a lovely pool and restaurant, but we had a hot tub and were happy to just hideaway in our triangle house! Brilliant time!
Lovely lodges, clean and very well equipped. Will be going again. Ideal location as it's half hour to the coast.
We had a lovely stay. Unfortunately the heavy snow stopped us from doing any of the touristy things we'd placed. The staff were super helpful and were very fast to respond to anything we asked for. One of our lives was flickering and our was fixed within 30 mins of us mentioning it. The lodge was a little dated but perfectly fine. They are also doing a referbishment so I'm sure by summer they'll be up to date. It's really central to everything we were hoping to do and there's a local asda near by to stock up on everything you need. The restaurant does the best fish and chips for those nights you can't be bothered to cook.
We had a lovely holiday at Waterside. The facilities were very good at Waterside. We would definitely book to go again!
fantastic place - really friendly - lovely location - massize lodge and clean and tidy throughout - maintentance were required and attended immediately - perfect break for a good price - we have booked again! :) Hot tub was lovely - a must!!!
Wonderful parc....our family of 5 had a great time. Only slight criticism being no on-site shop.
Me and my husband and little girl stay here with our friends and there 2 boys. We had a brilliant time. Lodge had everything u needed and very big. Hot tub was great. Lovely pool was small but did the job!. Carvery on the Sunday was one of the best I've ever had!!was amazing!. All the staff are so kind and helpful here!. Would defo visit again!! Highly recommended.
We all had an amazing time
The lodge was lovely, spacious, and quiet with two very nice bathrooms. We enjoyed a swim every day in the good sized indoor swimming pool.
