Belan Bach Lodges

Belan Bach Lodges afford panoramic views over the Banwy Valley from their peaceful setting above the small village of Llangadfan. The lodges are beautifully appointed and have elevated balconies to make the most of the stunning scenery. We recommend these lodges to couples and families looking for a relaxing retreat.

The park has a tranquil, rural setting yet is not too isolated as a village pub and shop can be found within 2 miles. Further afield the Lake Vyrnwy with its RSPB centre and watersports is just 6 miles away. Popular attractions in the region include Welshpool, Powis Castle, King Arthur's Labyrinth and the renowned Centre for Alternative Technology with its unique water-powered railway. Families looking for seaside attractions should head to Barmouth and Aberdyfi which are both less than an hour away.

The Accommodation at Belan Bach is spacious and well equipped. There are five types of lodge to choose from, all with private outdoor hot tubs. The Banwy Lodge has two bedrooms as is a timber clad holiday home with leather sofa and outside patio with furniture. The Dyfnant Lodge is larger and sleeps up to 6 people in three bedrooms. It also has a decking area with furniture and hot tub. The Derwen Lodges were new to the site in 2007 and offer luxurious accommodation. These stylish lodges have three bedrooms and an outside decking area with private hot tub.

We hired out 2 lodges to hold all our family. Every single 1 of us including kids all said wer going back early next year hopefully with the snow. Excellent value for money all days out in either direction is roughly an hours drive. Absolutely loads to keep the kids amused. Loads of space round your lodge for the kids to play and have fun. Xx

Date of stay: 12th May 2017
Lodge was perfect but hot tub a huge disappointment. Side wall and lid were broken. Lights and air pump didn't work at all. One jet worked ok but the other one worn out and extremely noisy so couldnt use it much so lost half of the jets. Quite dirty inside and lost a lot of water during our stay. In desperate need of major overhaul or replacement.
Angela, Newcastle Under Lyme

Date of stay: 17th April 2017
A quiet location, ideal if you want to get away from the rat race and enjoy the outdoors. We did! Lodge was clean and tidy with plenty of crockery, utensils and glasses. Appliances all great especially dishwasher. The lodge was warm and had amazing views. The hot tub is awesome, nice and warm on our chilly weekend away. Don't be put off by murky water on first use, it's just high iron content, it soon clears. I understand the need to restrict wifi to one device at a time, and although we were perturbed at first, it was a welcome change to not have everyone attached to the Internet. We enjoyed our weekend away and would recommend for a peaceful break!
Date of stay: 14th April 2017

Peaceful site. The owners were very nice people, they were also very approachable, The lodge was very good internally and was furnished to a very good quality. There was plenty of things to do within a 45 mile radius. Well worth the effort to travel around. The hot tub was the largest one I have been in yet.

Date of stay: 26th May 2016
We loved the hot tub at the lodge as it was for our sole use.We had some good chill out time being only a small number of chalets on the site with no club house or pub near by.If I won the lottery I would buy a lodge as they have more room than a static caravan and also buy a hot tub!!
Katherine, Manchester

We originally booked a two bedroom lodge, but were upgraded to an Onnen Lodge, as there was a problem with the hot tub. The Onnen was beautiful, very spacious and clean and the huge hot tub outside was very relaxing, and I would definitely book this lodge again
for a break.

The Dyfnant lodge is a 3 bedroom lodge with a full bathroom and en suite to master bedroom. The lodge was lovely and warm, on occasions had to turn off heating as it was to hot.
Every room was clean, well maintained and all extra touches done for comfort.

Date of stay: 3rd January 2016
Fantastic place to stay, cabin had everything we needed and was much bigger and modern inside than expected, great views, staff were great checking if in with us to see if everything was okay and if we needed anything. And having the key already in the door when we arrived meant settling in was so much easier/ quicker than other places. Only downside was lack of privacy for the hot tub. But would 100% stay again.
Date of stay: 3rd November 2015
Was lovely to have milk in the fridge ready waking got us after a long journey, the place was amazing

Had a fantastic few days and nights staying in Celyn 1 at Belan Bach Lodges. A very quiet site overlooking the Welsh valleys of Llangadfan. As per instructions on our booking confirmation, when we arrived we found keys in the door of the lodge, hot tub bubbling away, all beds made up and the central heating on for a nice warm lodge. Around half hour after we arrived the owner of the site popped in to check that we had everything we needed and to answer any questions, he was very welcoming. Beds were great. Shower was fantastic - heated floor tiles were a nice surprise!

Ample activities around, we headed over to Lake Vyrnwry which wasn't too far and provided a full day of walking. The Lake View Tea Room at Lake Vyrnwy is not to be missed. Two freshly cooked large lasagnes and four cold drinks was under £20.00, eaten whilst admiring the stunning views of the lake.

The Rainbow Trails are a couple minutes walk up the road from the site, with hundreds of miles of walks with great views. Fantastic for the pup!

I read all of the reviews of the site before booking and was slightly worried when I saw we had "Celyn 1" after the horrid review that was given. The other review is by no means a true reflection of the cabin, the owner or the site.

10/10 Would stay again!

The only reason why we put 8 on two of the questions is that on two of the days we completely lost hot water. The owners explained the situation and informed they were changing the boilers. Still disappointing however to have two mornings and evenings with cold showers. We knew the problem but hopefully they will have that sorted.

Date of stay: 2nd December 2013
I wanted to write a review, because I was reading some prior to our holiday, on another site, and I was worried what we had let ourselves in for!
On arrival the lodge had been warmed up, by the lit fire and central heating. The lounge was cosy and the furniture looked fairly new. Heated floor in the bathroom and a towel rail too! Also a lovely big shower cubicle. The hot tub had been turned on so it was at temperature, so half an hour after arrival we were already in there! :) I think some people can find faults with anything, but I consider myself a fussy person and I found this more than suitable! Especially for accommodation for pets, this is the first time we've taken our dog on holiday and she loved it :)
Lovely 4 night break in this lodge. Very tranquil.
Truely lovely little break with my family, we were surprised at how homely and comfortable the lodge was. It was so peaceful at the lodge but lots to do within the local area with two small children. Highly recommended and we will be returning ☺️
Exceeded our expectations
Was Our First Time Doing This Type Of Break - We Went For 4 Days On The 24th Feb 2018 For Our Anniversary..Even Tho We Came Back A Day Early Because Of All The Snow- We Still Had An Amazing Time - The Lodge Was Spotless, Very Warm And Cosy - The Kitchen Had Everything You Needed - Altho We Did Take Our Own. The Bathroom's Very Spacious. The Bedrooms Were Spacious. The HotTub Was Perfection! The Perfect Get Away - Sit Back And Relax. We Would Most Definitely Recommend! Well We Already Have Done To Family And Friends! We're Booking Again In October! Honestly Can't Wait!
Staff 10/10 was absolutely amazing the only criticism I have is the hottub wasn’t the best
Excellent .......
Had a amazing time at belan Bach lodge . Views was beautiful and lodge was cosy and clean . Had a very relaxing weekend . My only negatives was the hot tub could do with a clean and could be sign posted better maybe a bigger sign or signs prior to entrance . Will definitely be visiting again
