The site is also just a fifteen-minute walk to the village of Harby, where you can stock up on supplies at the local shop, have a drink and a bite to eat at the village pub, or even treat yourself to a massage at the Old Farm Spa.

The site offers a selection of cottages and log cabins that are ideal for a restful escape. We love the Osprey - this stylishly designed lodge sleeps up to four guests in two comfortable bedrooms. The lodge has a spacious open-plan living and dining area and a roaring fireplace in the living room, perfect for warming up after a long day of exploring. The modern exterior boasts sleek wood panelling and a raised outdoor decking, topped off with a private hot tub where you can enjoy the glorious views of the area.

Only twenty minutes down the road is the historic city of Lincoln, with plenty of attractions and places to explore. Be sure to stop by the glorious Lincoln Cathedral, or the impressive Lincoln Castle, and admire the stunning architecture of the city. Step back in time at the Museum of Lincolnshire Life, or take a wander down Steep Hill with a charming selection of 12th-century homes. There are plenty of country parks and gardens in the area to explore, such as Doddington Hall and Gardens with acres of manicured land, or Whisby Nature Park, with an array of wonderful wildlife and beautiful scenery to discover.

James - Apr 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, the place had plenty of room and was perfect location-wise."
Emma - Apr 2024
"We loved the Heron Lodge! It had all the basics covered, including kitchen stuff and was super clean. The dog-friendly aspect was a big plus for us. The free-standing bath was a real treat. Only thing missing was a hot tub - some lodges have them!"
Emma - Mar 2024
"We heard a refresh might be coming, but honestly, it was comfy and perfect for our little ones and dog. Really suited our needs, no complaints!"
Emily Carter - Feb 2024
"We had such a lovely, chilled weekend at this place! The setting is so peaceful and feels miles away from everything, perfect if you're after some proper relaxation. The lodge itself is cosy with two double bedrooms and had everything we needed, although a bath wouldve been the cherry on top. The fishing lake is a real highlight, especially with the ducks waddling around and chatting to us - my 5-year-old was totally enchanted. We dont even fish but just enjoyed the calm vibe. The hosts are super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Were definitely planning to come back soon and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet getaway!"
Emily - Feb 2024
"We recently stayed at this gorgeous lodge and honestly, its one of the best weve experienced with Hoseasons after doing over 50 lodges! The view directly onto the lake is stunning, really breathtaking. Both bedrooms open onto the decking, which has two levels. Inside, its spotless and well-equipped. Well definitely be back soon!"
Emma - Feb 2024
"We stayed at the Osprey for the first time instead of our usual Heron. Chose it mainly because it was cheaper, which was a bonus! The hot tub was a lovely touch and having a washer and drier was really handy. The front decking is perfect if you bring your dog and the two bedrooms make it great if youve got kids. Overall, a top lodge that suits everyone!"
James - Feb 2024
"The lodge really was lovely - super clean and well kitted out. Its spot on location meant we could easily get to shops and Lincolns centre. Were already planning to come back! Thanks a lot!!"
Emma - Feb 2024
"Lovely spot, super peaceful, perfect for exploring Lincoln. Wed definitely stay again!"
Mike - Jan 2024
"We had a really nice time at Oyster Catch Lodge. The location by the river was perfect for fishing and relaxing. The lodge itself was cosy and warm, making it a lovely place to unwind. We also took day trips to Lincoln and Newark. Definitely planning to return soon!"
Sarah - Jan 2024
"Looking forward to it!"
Emma Turner - Jan 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay here. The lodge is modern and spacious, with a breathtaking view of the lake. Nice bath and shower, very relaxing. Its a peaceful spot, perfect for unwinding away from the hustle. Wed definitely come back!"
James Carter - Jan 2024
"We recently spent Christmas here with our little one and dog and honestly, it was lovely. The place itself is really charming and just right for a relaxing break. The only downside was they dont offer cots or high chairs, which wouldve been handy, but it didn't ruin our stay at all. Definitely coming back!"
Emma - Dec 2023
"We stayed at Goldfinch Lodge and honestly, its a lovely spot for couples. The hot tub was a real treat and the views are stunning-lake on one side, open fields behind. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend!"
Emily Carter - Nov 2023
"We really enjoyed the peaceful setting by the lake, watching the ducks was lovely. Its perfect if youre after some proper quiet time. The staff were super friendly, greeting us warmly when we arrived and saying goodbye when we left, which was a nice touch. The lodge itself was pretty comfy - nice warm welcome with tea and coffee and it felt cosy during our stay. The design of the place is quite nice too. That said, there are a few downsides. WiFi is pretty much non-existent here, which we knew beforehand but still a bit of a pain. Cleanliness was a bit hit and miss - plenty of spiders and cobwebs and the sofas looked a bit tired and grubby. The bedding was flat and well-used and having to strip our own bedding at the end was unusual. The mattress covers dont seem to get washed either, which was a bit disappointing. Still, overall, a nice stay with some quirks."
Emily Carter - Nov 2023
"Really enjoyed the tranquility and the sunshine made it all even better. Perfect escape!"
Emma Clarke - Nov 2023
"Weve just had our third stay at Camper UKs Heron Lodge and already booked for next January-cant wait! John and his family are genuinely lovely and always ready to help out. The location is just what we need for a peaceful break; its tucked away in the countryside, so its super quiet, which we love. Yes, its a bit of a drive from places like Asda-about 6 miles-but thats part of the charm, really. The lodge itself is well-equipped and feels really homely. Perfect if youre bringing your pets, too, as its not carpeted, so no worries about any little accidents. Its a cosy spot thats ideal for relaxing away from the hustle. Honestly, we cant recommend it enough if youre after a chilled, laid-back holiday. Well be back for sure!"
Emily Parker - Nov 2023
"Really enjoyed"
Emma - Nov 2023
"Really enjoyed our visit, staff were welcoming and made us feel right at home."
Emma - Jul 2023
"We had a lovely stay in a charming lodge. John was so friendly and made us feel really welcome. The area was beautiful and the lodge was quite roomy for just the two of us. Definitely recommend!"
Alexandra - Aug 2020
"Really enjoyed the holiday, staff were friendly and well definitely be back soon!"
Sarah - Aug 2020
"Lincoln has such a charming vibe, blending historic buildings with modern touches. The cobbled streets are super quaint and theres a mix of quirky little shops plus big stores. The multi-storey car park works really well too!"
Mark - Aug 2020
"Honestly, we had a really lovely stay overall, even if there were a few little quirks. The Barn Owl lodge was just as gorgeous as the pictures, with a peaceful vibe and a lovely view over the lake. Its nice that its spaced out from other lodges, so you dont feel cramped at all. The place was pretty clean, though we did have to give the vacuum a quick go near the sink and toilet - bit of an oversight, but not a biggie. The staff really made the experience; they were so cheerful and friendly, which made everything feel a lot warmer. The location is pretty quiet and a bit remote, so dont expect much in terms of local shops nearby - we just got a Tesco delivery to the site, which worked perfectly. For activities, the kids loved riding their bikes and there are some lovely walks around, plus a tree swing thats a shame to hear is coming down soon. The huge field with horses is a lovely sight and the back trail makes for a good 2-3 mile run. A couple of small suggestions: maybe give the keys coloured dots so its easier to tell them apart - playing key bingo is a bit of a pain! Also, a bit more care in cleaning the bathrooms would be appreciated and some simple instructions for the dishwasher would help - that button with the house and pound sign confused us at first! Overall though, were already booked again, so it definitely left a good impression!"
Jamie - Aug 2020
"We had a very relaxing enjoyable weekend. Lovely peaceful site. The lodge that we stayed in was very nice and we all enjoyed the hot tub. Staff friendly and helpful."
Lisa - Jul 2022
"First time staying here and in a Lodge as well Some bits we were unsure of but the staff were brilliant They made us feel very welcome and were always accommodating. We are definitely staying here again."
Robert - Jul 2022
"Lovely clean chalet on a beautiful site. Friendly and helpful staff. Great attention to detail with pre made beds, towels, fresh flowers etc on arrival. Close to Lincoln and within easy reach of the east coast for a day trip."
Brian - Jul 2022
"We have just recently had a week's stay at this site in Lincoln and it was the most relaxing enjoyable time. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the site itself was stunning and immaculately kept. We will definitely be returning"

Lesley - Jul 2022
"We had a great stay in Barn Owl, the lodge is beautiful and really well looked after. They work very hard to make sure that your stay is great, and there attention to detail is to be applauded. The lake is full of fish and I caught some great carp, all in great condition. Thank you both for a lovely peaceful stay - we will be back!"
Michael - Jul 2022
"Nice quiet spot, the lodge had everything we needed and Jasper, our dog, enjoyed watching all the ducks and geese."
Keith - Jul 2022
"Lovely lodge could not fault it. Lovely surroundings."
Julie - Jul 2022
"Very nice and quiet place but still close to town for shopping ."
Susan - Jun 2022
"Lovely and quiet, nice holiday home, great fishing."
Keith - Jun 2022
"Best lodge stayed in so far . Very clean . Excellent fishing on doorstep ."
Andrew - Jun 2022
"Lovely lodge that was well equipped and spacious. Welcoming friendly staff. Great surroundings for dog walking. We could not get internet (which was not a bad thing). Fishing was good. We loved the whole experience."
Barbara - Jun 2022
"Very private, beautiful surroundings made beautiful with the sunshine. Over looking the lake with plenty of carp. Very peaceful with ducks, rabbits and bird's. We really enjoyed ourselves. Very friendly and professional staff."
Jane - Jun 2022
"Accommodation tip top. A few tweaks could be made regarding kitchen utensils. Saucepans and baking trays scratch badly and non stick worn away. No up to date gas safety certificate on display. Wonky garden bench outside on veranda. Otherwise excellent accommodation in extremely quiet surroundings with a nice view of the pond ducks and geese. A few rabbits running around early morning."

This is an all weather attraction located in Ilkeston Derbyshire.  With a large play frame as well as bikes and ride on toys this is a fun place for young children.  The toddler time sessions take place during term times on week days from 9.30am until 2.30pm and are very popular. The admission fee is excellent value for money and parents can sit down and enjoy a drink while the children play. A new baby changing facility has now been installed together with some new chairs making this a clean and welcoming attraction for families.  Look out for offers on their website such as a free hot drink on select days.

Rushmoor Country Park - GU10 1ET
about 32 Miles
Located in Louth in Lincolnshire this is an ideal attraction when you want to get out in the fresh air and explore. There are many animals to see including ponies and piglets which the little ones love.  There are also some amazing birds from hawks and falcons to owls.  Most aspects of this attraction are included in the admission cost and as well as wandering around you get to hold and feed the animals too.  A real highlight are the micro pigs which are just like real pigs but in miniature.  Fully grown they are around the size of a spaniel!  If you get hungry then you can take your own picnic to the picnic areas or head for the tea room selling delicious food and children's meals too.
Pleasure Island - DN35 0PL
about 35 Miles
Wow this is an amazing family theme park and you will probably need the full day to experience it all.  From thrilling rides to family shows, kids of all ages are catered for.  Some of the most popular rides include the Obliterator and The Pendulus, not forgetting the Hypoblaster.   Family shows are entertaining such as the African Acrobat Show which is back by popular demand.  Entrance tickets are good value and if you book online you will receive a discount. To save even more money if you live locally or are visiting the area for a few weeks you could buy a season ticket for around £50 which will allow you entry for the whole season.
The Jungle Zoo - NR31 9EY
about 35 Miles
Centred around a Tropical House in an amazing jungle like setting this is a really unique attraction that will appeal to families.  In the Cleethorpes area of Lincolnshire it's easy to get to and offers a fun yet educational experience.  Referred to as the number one attraction in the area highlights include capuchin monkeys, meerkats, ring tailed lemur and for the children African pygmy goats.  The tropical house features Red Eared and other Terrapins from North America and goldfish amongst other things.  We think The Jungle Zoo represents excellent value for money too.  We recommend a whole day to explore this attraction and ensure you get to see all of the animals resident there.
Gullivers Kingdom - DE4 3NT
about 36 Miles
This is a top class theme park with plenty to do for the whole family.  From thrilling rides to more gentle activities for the little ones this place is ideal.  The best thing is that 50% of their attractions are under cover so the British weather needn't spoil the fun.
