Not sure the tv in bathroom is a good idea it went wrong after a day there and we were told its one of those things with TVs where there is moisture! Kids were disappointed not the end of the world though.

Well equipped lodge. My husband is paraplegic and needed additional equipment which we either hired or took with us. Knowing what you need and what is provided allowed us to cater for this and we had a lovely week.

Great lodge would happily stay again

Date of stay: 24th March 2018
Family with 2 young kids.We had a fantastic holiday!

We made use of the swimming pool, restaurant, soft play centre, and the farm at the resort.

The pool temperature was just right ( not cold at all).

The restaurant was very accommodating! We rang up the day we arrived and asked to book a table ( with very short notice) and luckily they managed to squeeze us in.
A few nights later we had a take away which was very tasty.

The soft play centre was great, both boys enjoyed it! We didnt have food there but my in laws who where also on holiday had breakfast and the veggie sausages did look seriously good!

The meet the animals tour was just simply amazing!
Denise, Ipplepen, Newton Abbot Devon
Date of stay: 23rd March 2018
Because I am nearly 80 I found that the steps up to the Lodge were difficult because of no handrail. Also the sofa was a bit too low or me, but there were plenty on cushions for me
to use.
We found that there were a lot of dogs around, a lot were not on leads and were running all over, also we saw a lot of dogs mess that had not been cleaned up. This might not have been
dog owners on the site, but dog owners on the site also had dogs running loose. This is very dangerous or young children.
Sarah, Middlesbrough
Date of stay: 9th March 2018
Lovely lodge, the upstairs needs a bit of updating. Living room curtains had a stain on them. Sofa was ripped underneath.

Date of stay: 27th December 2017
The lodge was very well presented, complete with christmas tree, card and presents. The kitchen area is perfect for self catering. The bedrooms and bed linen were lovely and the heating had been turned on to anticipate our arrival.

Only comment I would make would be in relation to the shower heads and hoses in both the en suite and bathroom. They both leaked quite badly and need replacing.
Tina, Kent
Date of stay: 1st December 2017
It was all excellant
Mary, Staffordshire
Date of stay: 25th November 2017
One little gripe, which we informed staff of during our visit: the fan in the family bathroom was broken and there was a lot of black condensation mould on the shelves holding the towels. Staff cleaned the shelf but didnt completely remove the mould so the dank smell remained and we didnt use that bathroom during our stay.
Ian, Totnes.
Date of stay: 10th November 2017

Just awesome
Nigel, Lichfield
Date of stay: 16th September 2017
Very comfortable lodge although it was a slight disappointment to find the car parking space is at the rear of the lodge whilst the entrance door was at the front, not too much of a problem except that one of our party has mobility issues. Only parking space for one car which I found strange for a three bed-roomed accommodation (any additional vehicles have to be parked at the reception building area which is a fair walk away).
Rob, Sa133tw
Date of stay: 15th September 2017

Date of stay: 15th July 2017
We plan to visit the site again because the overall quality of the lodge and surroundings was superior to most other parks. This one is small, quiet and friendly, which is fine for couples and families with younger children.

Date of stay: 17th June 2017
Spotless, fully equipped, comfortable and spacious
Date of stay: 27th May 2017
A superb and superior place to stay for your holiday. Scenic, quiet with lots to do.

Fantastic accommodation that's quiet and peaceful but also well suited for the whole family. We loved it.

Our only qualm was having to pay £6 a day for the soft play that (we feel) should be inclusive of your holiday package for the price you pay.

All very good though and we would definitely recommend & go again
Julie, Worcestershire
Date of stay: 27th May 2017
Fantastic lodge, we took elderly disabled relatives and this lodge did not disappoint us, they had lots of room to move around, the wet room bathroom was perfect for them, the quality of appliances throughout the lodge was high, everything we could have wanted was supplied, overall a really lovely lodge, nice quiet surroundings, no one overlooked us, the hot tub was a big hit, very warm and well maintained, would recommend this lodge if you have someone with mobility issues as it was spacious and a well adapted bedroom and bathroom.
Date of stay: 20th May 2017
Lovely accommodation, when coming back we will be hiring this again
Date of stay: 20th May 2017
Great lodge !
Benjamin, Plymouth
Date of stay: 20th May 2017
Had a great holiday. Really good location, Portreath is a lovely place, and Gwithian around the corner too. Lovely lodge, nice facilities. Only downside is cramped parking, could barely get the car to our lodge at one evening when a wedding was on. Also, although the restaurant food/drink was very nice, it is far too expensive. But mostly we had a brilliant time
Janine, Witham
Date of stay: 20th May 2017

Had a wonderful family holiday here, everything was perfect
Date of stay: 5th May 2017
These new lodges are lovely, with good outside space. They are spaced well apart and have a view of the sea. Inside they have plenty of space in all areas, with only the third (twin) bedroom being a bit tight. Overall, well designed with a lot of attention to detail.
Kirsten, Dunblane
Date of stay: 30th April 2017
The Lodge was spotless, beds comfy and towels fluffy! Well equipped and very comfortable stay and well worth the money. Would definitely recommend it! Hot tub a great addition to the lodge.
Sean, Dagenham
Date of stay: 28th April 2017
The lodge was stunning and was completed to a very high finish. We was not expecting the lodge to have underfloor heating, air-con, a tv in the bath, Wifi etc but everything had been thought of.
Jeffrey, Braintree
Date of stay: 28th April 2017
Everything you'd want in an enabling lodge. Warm, comfy and clean. We did notice in the wet room the glass was clear, when we walked into it. We fed this back and suggested stickers to prevent issues.
Date of stay: 3rd April 2017
Doors are a little creaky - to be expected with wood i suppose.
Bed was very comfy.
Very clean .

Date of stay: 18th February 2017
Having chosen to go earlier in the year putting up with the great British weather we had a very relaxing break. The accocomodation was spotless. All the kitchen utensils were of good quality and there was everything you could possibly need. Even though we were on holiday we took advantage of the washing machine so we didn't bring dirty clothes home with us.
Date of stay: 23rd December 2016
Kids loved it but pool was cold!
Kelly, Epsom
Date of stay: 25th November 2016
My partner and I really enjoyed our stay and would happily go back again.
I wasn't happy about when we asked about fire wood for the fire they took our lodge number and said that someone would bring it over for us, then when checking out was charged for it. No one had told us that there was a charge for the wood.
Pearl, Hayle Cornwall
Date of stay: 21st November 2016
The lodge was fabulous. Equipped with everything you needed for a lovely stay. It was really nice to have our own hot tub.
Angela, Preston
Date of stay: 6th November 2016
The lodge itself was great, three bedrooms, one en suite. With a hot tub & wood burning stove really good as we had a dog with us.
The kitchen was well equipped with good quality pans etc. The only slight criticism I would make would be that the kitchen units were a little tired, but we did notice that a few of the nearby lodges were being refurbished whilst we were there, so maybe ours was due to be done too.
Jacqui, Toulouse, France
Date of stay: 4th November 2016
Residence 3 felt like home from home. Clean and modern with plenty of useable gadgets!
We only gave an 8 for fixture and fittings as although there were technical instructions for some of the equipment there were no easy to use instructions. The TV being one of those items where it was not instantly obvious how to find program guides and regular programs. The mood lighting when we first switched on was flashing like a disco. We didn't realise you could change settings and not just turn it on or off!
Thus it may be good to have someone to show you round with a quick intro into how things work.
Lucky, Bolton
Date of stay: 29th October 2016
For quite a few years, we have stayed at this resort. The lodge and the resort is great. But we can see the general maintenance of the lodge dropping in quality. Not bad enough for us to not go there but just comparing our experience to previous visits
Date of stay: 28th October 2016
Excellent - and so lovely to be able to bring our dog with us.
Emma, Dunstable

Excellent accommodation, very clean and comfortable. Living area upstairs to give best possible views of surrounding countryside and towards Portreath.
Gary, Hartley Wintney
Date of stay: 23rd April 2016
Most of the fixtures and fittings were excellent particularly the bed, which is very important. The quality and reliability of the kitchen white goods was suspect. We had the washer/dryer fail from the start. Fixed 3days after reporting and first official failure inspection.
Steven, Stockport
Date of stay: 15th April 2016
Very nice accommodation

Kitty, Somerset
Date of stay: 25th January 2016
Fantastic lodges set in a beautiful part of Cornwall. Very comfy all round - well equipped with everything you need for your stay & more. Nothing is too much trouble for the lovely staff. The only thing that would finish it off is a small store where you can buy milk, bread, newspaper etc Other than that we could not fault this place. Cannot wait to return. Best long weekend we've ever had.
Lisa, Cullompton
Date of stay: 23rd December 2015
The lodge was amazing! All mod cons and beautifully laid out. Nice touch with the Xmas tree! Thanks
David, Portsmouth

Looking tired in some spots no directions for heating
Rachel, Horsham
Date of stay: 31st October 2015
A lovely, clean lodge. We appreciated all the extra such as dishwasher tablets and toilet paper. When we reported a minor problem with the lights maintenance were with us immediately! However the en-suite shower is rather small for adults so we used the one in the main bathroom. It would be good to have another settee in the lounge area, even with just four of us we had one person sat on a dining chair in the evenings. Overall the best lodge we have ever stayed in!
Date of stay: 26th September 2015
lodge was clean and spacious
John, Northamptonshire
Date of stay: 25th September 2015
One very small negative, we did find the double bed a bit too firm.
Vanessa, Folkestone
Date of stay: 22nd August 2015
Nice lodge. A little cramped downstairs as we used the downstairs dressing room with sofa bed as a separate bedroom for our daughter. Upstairs living/dining area very well laid out with balcony and sea views. Well equipped kitchen and dining area.
Michelle, Gerrards Cross
Date of stay: 8th August 2015
We just loved it all-
Knowledge regarding dishwasher requirements would have been helpful but this is not a criticism-nothing negative to say at all.

Date of stay: 4th July 2015
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gwel An Mor and will definitely be visiting again in the future. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the accommodation was spotless. Beautiful scenery and the wildlife experiences were very informative and enjoyable for adults as well as children. We stayed with our 2 Jack Russells and were very impressed by how dog friendly the site is .. and a lovely dog friendly pub within walking distance.
We would highly recommend Gwel An Mor

Date of stay: 23rd May 2015
Loved the lodge, hot tub was great, accommodation was a very good standard.
Chloe, Christchurch
Date of stay: 23rd May 2015
The main down side, although it was advertised as coming with a 2 person hot tub, if 6 adults were staying there then it's not very sociable as it would divide the group, we had 4 people staying and it was annoying having to rotate turns.
Kate, Walsall
Date of stay: 22nd May 2015
Fantastic lodge with fantastic views got everything you needed to make your stay comfortable

Date of stay: 10th October 2014
cobwebs in the bedroom are the reason for overall rating not reaching 10;
Date of stay: 3rd October 2014
Lovely lodges, it's a must for recharging the batteries.
Date of stay: 26th September 2014
Amazing lodge i could live in one all year. Such high quality and everything in it you could ask for. Spotlessly clean. Love the little touches washing up liquid/dishwasher tablets and the bottle of wine

I can't rate our lodge highly enough, the pictures don't do it justice and the hot tube was always ready for a quick dip!

Date of stay: 29th August 2014
View poor; advert misleading; lodge excellent.
Sarah, St. Helens
Date of stay: 15th August 2014
Lovely, clean lodge, all mod cons, perfect for families.
Date of stay: 9th August 2014
The lodge was immaculate upon arrival and had everything you would need for your stay. Aran Aromatics toiletries in each of the bathrooms, lollies on the children's pillows and chocolates on the adults pillows as a welcome along with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar etc. to make yourself a drink and a lovely bottle of wine chilling in the fridge too.
We had booked a Sainsburys order of groceries which was due to arrive an hour before check-in time and the staff were happy to receive the order for us. We were held up in traffic and arriving later than anticipated so the staff took the order to the lodge and popped all the chilled food in the fridge and frozen goods in the freezer.
Such a massive help, really thoughtful and makes you feel really welcome.

I found the lodge extremely well equipped only reason my lower score would be the quality of quilts on the bed, thought they were not great , small point but did irritate me each night!

Brilliant accomodation. Could not fault it. We came out of season and it was real value for money but in high season we could not have afforded the price. Not sure if I would have considered it value for money at over £2000!.

The Lodge itself surpassed all expectations. We were fortunate to book this Lodge at a reduced rate. If it had not been reduced, I would not have originally booked the holiday.

Accommodation very clean everything we needed we had wood burner and hot tub worth the extra money although wood was wet and needed to buy some Eco logs to help them burn!
Brilliant. Very relaxing, lots to see. Wonderful weather. Would come again.
Beautiful cabin with lovely view of the sea and lovely trail walk down to the beach the site was lovely and dog friendly would definitely be coming again
Fantastic. Clean. Friendly helpful staff and great facilities.
Had a great time from the time we arrived til the time we left. Staff were just wonderful and very professional at all times. Lodge 73 was just out of this world. Will visit again in summer. Thank you
We have been going here for the last five years, all our various young foster children have absolutely loved it, as have we. It's a peaceful quiet site, with every lodge having a sea view, and non commercialised, which we also love. Lodges are two levels, with that wonderful smell of pine, very comfy & cosy, equipped with all you need!!! Just a slight negative, cleanliness wasn't as tip top this occasion. Observed a lot of dirt dust down beside beside tables, and behind bed, etc. A bit concerning too, was one of those little white pest control box's under the bed, up by the headboard!!!
Amazing , thoroughly clean, would highly recommend. Can't wait to go back.
Fantastic holiday. Staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful. Pool and spa facilities are great. Brilliant central location to explore the beautiful Cornwall
Excellent retreat - quiet and peaceful but plenty to do for young families. Residence lodge was exceptionally well equipped, luxurious and represents fantastic value for money. Best lodge holiday we have done to date - will definitely be back!
Great place. Ladies were beautiful, clean and spacious. Base camp was great for the kids. We didn't use the restaurant as we felt it was a little on the pricey side. Only thing lacking was evening entertainment for adults and children. This would have made this holiday 10/10. However still a great place
