"We come here mainly to unwind, not fish and honestly, Badger Lodge's peaceful vibe really hits the spot. The bed is comfy, though the fridge and storage are a bit tight. A quick anti-slip mat in the shower would make things perfect. Still, we love it!"

"We recently stayed at Goodiford Mill for the first time and honestly, were already planning to come back next year! The lodge was spotless and the hot tub was a lovely touch after a day out. The areas so peaceful and picturesque, perfect for unwinding. My partner really enjoyed the fishing; the lakes are kept in great condition and well stocked, which made it even more enjoyable. If we had to pick a tiny gripe, itd be that wed love a walk-in shower instead of a bath with a shower overhead - itd make the bathroom feel a bit fresher. Also, it was a bit mouldy around the edges, but the shower itself was powerful and hot. All the staff were lovely and very helpful, which made our stay even nicer. We had a really relaxing week, thanks a lot!"

"Our stay at Maple Cottage last week was absolutely fantastic! Weve never felt so relaxed on a holiday before. The hot tub was definitely a highlight and we spent quite a bit of time just soaking and enjoying the wildlife around us - saw some lovely birds and even a deer! The staff, especially Paul, couldnt have been more helpful or friendly, making us feel really welcome. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed and the bedding was super comfy, making it feel like a home away from home. We loved the fact that theres a cosy pub called the Crown Inn within walking distance for good meals and drinks at reasonable prices - perfect after a day exploring. The area is quite quiet, which is exactly what we wanted and we didnt feel the need to go out much since we stocked up at Tesco on arrival. No phone signal at all, which we actually appreciated - a proper digital detox! It was a lovely romantic getaway and wed definitely return."

"We recently stayed at Woodpecker Lodge and honestly, it was a lovely experience. The place was spotless and really well looked after, with a peaceful setting that made it perfect for unwinding. The highlight was definitely the surprise upgrade to a bigger lodge when we arrived - we couldnt believe how spacious it was! The only thing we missed was having a bath; a nice soak with a bath bomb wouldve been perfect after a day out. Still, wed happily return and recommend it to others looking for a quiet getaway. Its a gem and we left feeling really refreshed!"

The host couldn’t of done more. The lodges were out of this world. Quite clean. Everything you need in the lodge is there.
The hot tub was lovely and warm.
So the fishing.
If you want all day action this is the place to come. Arm ache is a understatement. Fish in superb condition too. I will most definitely be visiting for pleasure fishing along with staying at the venue.

"A great place to go for a peaceful, relaxing holiday. Lodges are clean, spacious and comfortable. They have everything you need for a week away with the added bonus of the hot tub. Close enough to the town if you need anything, as well as easy access to the motorway for day trips, but far enough away to avoid the noise and busyness. Plenty of outside space for children to play and explore. Staff are helpful and friendly. The perfect base for a family holiday."
