Andrewshayes Holiday Park Reviews

"We spent a lovely week here with our two little dachshunds, who really loved meeting other dogs in the charming village of Thaxted. The cottage itself is really cosy and the hot tub was a real highlight, especially during those scorching days - the cooled water was so refreshing! The hosts were warm and friendly and it was nice to see their dogs being taken out to the fields each day. Being near Stansteds flight path was actually quite fun - watching the planes was a bit of a distraction. Wed happily recommend this place!"
Charlotte - Mar 2025
"Really enjoyed it, would definitely return."
Harper - Nov 2024
"Our stay at Goddard Mead was truly lovely. The cottage had everything we needed and the walks right outside were a real bonus. The hosts made us feel so welcome, really warm and friendly people!"
Elizabeth - Apr 2024
"We had a really lovely stay at this cottage, tucked away on a working farm but still so private. Robert and Sharon are genuinely charming hosts. The place itself is surprisingly spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that we didnt want to leave. The gardens perfect for dogs, totally secluded and with nice outdoor furniture. We enjoyed exploring the nearby walks and tried a few restaurants in Thaxted-The Star and The Maypole were great and The Swan isnt too bad either. Highly recommend!"
Harry - Dec 2023
"Our Andrewshayes Holiday Park review: The cottage was really lovely, perfect for our needs. We loved the peaceful spot away from busy areas. The hot tub was fantastic! Owners were super helpful without being intrusive."

"We had a lovely stay at this charming cottage. The hot tub and log burner made it extra special. Hosts were really welcoming. Hope to come back soon!"
Olivia - Oct 2023
"We had a lovely stay at this place! The setting is really peaceful and private, perfect for escaping the hustle. The owners are super friendly and always there if you need anything, but it still feels secluded. The hot tub was a great bonus after a long day cycling. Just a heads up, the cottage is directly under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but it might be a concern if you're sensitive to noise. Overall, a great spot!"
Raj - Sep 2023
"The caravan was really spacious with plenty of storage and the fixtures felt solid. The shower surprised us - its surprisingly powerful! Loved the outdoor area too, very handy."
Harriet - Aug 2023

Simon Edwards - Jun 2022
"We really enjoyed our stay in this caravan. Its modern and well-maintained, which made a big difference. The beds were comfy and everything felt fresh. Next time, we might choose a three-berth for a little extra space, but overall, it was great!"

"This was our first holiday in a mobile home/caravan, my Grandchildren thought it was awesome (their word). The site was a nice mixture of holiday makers and owners there were also people camping there. The swimming pool was a great success along with the adventure playground. The site was well maintained and very friendly."
Verified Guest - Aug 2014
"We have just returned from 2 weeks here. It was a luxurious modern caravan, and the site is wonderful. The staff can't do enough to help you, they are so friendly. The facilities are great, and the area is stunning. Cannot rate it highly enough, thanks for a great holiday"
Faith - Aug 2022
"Very surprised with quality of caravan considering we had 2 dogs. It was beautiful and spotlessly clean."
Donna - Jul 2022
"Our caravan was spotless on arrival. A beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom with a large lounge, everything we needed. The site was very quite when we went. The pool looked good but didn't use it. The bar only opened Friday and Saturday evenings and the menu looked very basic, so didn't go in. Only a 15 minute drive to Seaton and 30 minutes to Sidmouth. Excellent location to visit the area. Would definitely go back.?"
Sarah - Jul 2022
"Lovely country side setting and clean and tidy site made our holiday so relaxing. Only a 10min drive to Axminster and 25mins to Sidmouth. … would highly recommend. Stayed there in mid July."
ALAN - Jul 2022
"We had a great holiday here. The caravan was spotless and had everything you needed. The other bedrooms were well laid out for space compared to caravans we had over the years with our children. But now just the two of us and our dog lots of space. Outside verandah and table and chairs was an added bonus. The caravan got the sun all day. The swimming pool was an added bonus. The PUB had restricted hours when we were there so never got around to tasting the food maybe next time. The field for exercising our dog was great and the scenery was lovely. The park was well kept, quiet and a great place for touring the area. We will definitely return."
Elizabeth - Jul 2022
"It's a beautiful well equipped site, we were not so keen on the location but for others I'm sure it's fine which is why I have scored it a little less, as we had to drive everywhere and didn't really want to do that. The park is fairly well equipped. It would be better if the pub was open for food every day and not just on the weekends. The staff are very friendly and helpful, we accidentally left our daughters doll in our caravan and they posted it back to us. Our caravan was very nice, clean and had everything we needed."
Mayreen - Jul 2022
"Very friendly welcome. Good facilities. Lovely caravan and hot tub. Ideal location for exploring"
Ann - Jul 2022
"Lovley quiet site in beautiful surroundings. The caravan was lovley but the only thing I was surprised at you had to make your own beds up which I haven’t had to do at any other park hence 9 out of 10 overall rating.otherwise a lovley place to stay maybe look at at your policy for making sure beds are made up because if your family that’s a lot of beds to do and kind of spoils the start of theholiday after a long journey to get there so random? otherwise excellent"
Angela - Jun 2022
"absolutely perfect in every way"
Richard - Jun 2022
"We had a lovely stay and the caravan was lovely and clean. The hot tub was well worth the extra money - it made our holiday."
