Burnbake Forest Lodges

Surrounded by beautiful woodland in the heart of the Rempstone Estate, and with amazing views all the way to Poole Harbour and Studland Beach, Burnbake Forest Lodges is a great base from which to explore Dorset's stunning coastline, glorious countryside and its many visitor attractions.

The park is within easy travelling distance of Bournemouth, Swanage and Tolpuddle -and it's next door to an adrenaline pumping high rope centre. There's a children's play area, a shop and launderette as well as a multitude of paths and cycle routes right on the doorstep. The market town of Wareham with its shops, bars and restaurants is just five miles away.

These two and three bedroom lodges are all brand new and beautifully designed with their own private outdoor hot tubs. Forest Lodge 3 is super stylish; it has a wood burning stove, a bath with overhead shower and three bedrooms - one double, one twin and one with bunk beds - to comfortably accommodate six people.

The beaches at Poole and Christchurch are sandy, family friendly and offer loads of water sports. Find out how cider is made at the Mill House Cider Museum in Owermoigne (and of course, there are plenty of samples to taste!)

Date of stay: 18th May 2018
Lodge was great. Very comfortable. The important parts eg. Bathrooms, bed linen and towels, and kitchen were all exceptionally clean, the only small thing for us was the attention to detail in the not so obvious places- cobwebs on the ceilings and finger / hand prints on the windows and doors.
Loved this place so will definitely consider coming back in the future.

Date of stay: 14th May 2018
We stayed at the Burnbake Lodge for 3 nights. The facilities were excellent, and the lodge itself was clean and nicely decorated.

The staff had thoughtfully left a mini hamper of fresh bread, eggs, cheese, bacon & milk in the fridge (free of charge). They were also able to answer our questions about surrounding sites, great walks and general site information.

We would highly recommend Burnbake if you are looking for somewhere peaceful to escape to. We went with our daughter, son-in-law and grandson and had plenty of room, lots to do on site and out and about. The area is beautiful and we have still lots more to explore when we return.
Cathy, Worthing
Date of stay: 9th October 2017
It was a lovely lodge and well equipped. Would have liked a supply of wood for the wood burning stove - only had a couple of logs which didn't last longer than the first night
Date of stay: 9th October 2017
Absolutely amazing!
Amanda, Southsea
Date of stay: 9th October 2017
I have marked down value for money as it would have been nice to have had robes for all the party without having to hire them. Apart from that, would have to rate it as the best we have stayed in.
Jacqueline, New Malden
Date of stay: 6th October 2017
If you are looking to go from October to March only the lodges are available this has the benefit of the site being lovely and quiet but of course the shop is closed and access via the 1.5 mile single unlit track is a bit hairy in the dark. The road around the lodges is not best made of wet gravel and pot holes so if like us you value your car this may put you off. That said the lodge was excellent and the wildlife good.
Thelma, Hythe, Southampton
Date of stay: 29th September 2017
Brilliant, we were four ladies sharing the cost of our holiday, so very good
Paul, Wiltshire
Date of stay: 22nd September 2017
Having been camping at Burnbake many times, I was interested to find out that they had developed further and added 20+ wooden lodges to their site. The lodges were well designed and of extremely high quality. All essentials were included (oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer, tv, wifi) and some nice extras (hot tub, log burner, surprise breakfast pack). The beds were comfortable and nicely made up on our arrival. Plenty of hot water for the shower. I requested an iron and a DVD player and these were provided. All in all, a lovely place for a break, very comfortable and great fun. Highly recommended.
Jacqueline, Hornchurch
Date of stay: 18th September 2017
Best place in the area we've been to.
Ann, Bristol
Date of stay: 15th September 2017
Lovely lodge, set in a wonderfully peaceful location. Only thing that let it down was that the cutlery, plates and mugs etc were all dirty, before we could use anything we had to give it a wash. Couldn't fault anything else we made full use of the log burner in the evenings and enjoyed the fact that there were lots of walks we could do nearby.
Nikki, Arundel
Date of stay: 11th September 2017

Date of stay: 4th August 2017
Brilliant so impressed, cleaning lacked in a few areas where there was chunks of fluffy dust under main bed, under chair in shower room and the rug downstairs had loads of dust on (needed a hoover available) those bits didn't matter as I was so impressed with the rest was great really want to come back
Jessica, Harrow
Date of stay: 4th August 2017

Nicola, Bristol
Date of stay: 28th July 2017
Fab! All the little extras were included, bin bag, tea, etc
Rose, Chelmsford
Date of stay: 28th July 2017
Lodges were very well-equipped and beds VERY comfortable, but positioned right next to a busy, noisy campsite which distracted from what would have been an idyllic, peaceful location.
Also, if you have huge windows to view the trees and wildlife make sure the glass is clean!
Christine, Horsham
Date of stay: 24th July 2017
A fantastic place for a holiday.
Tracy, Bristol
Date of stay: 24th July 2017
This lodge was in a lovely quiet location, in woodlands. Lots of nature surrounding. Regularly watched the rabbits and birds through the patio doors. Would live to live here permanently.
Angela, Norfolk
Date of stay: 21st July 2017
Very nice lodge, in an area of natural beauty. Needed a little bit of attention in lodge : sink in bathroom not exiting water, also needed a bit of a deep clean around cooker/surface edges, otherwise really good. Beds were very comfy. Everything you need for a break away, with family as a couple or with friends.

Date of stay: 2nd June 2017
This is our third holiday staying in a 'forest lodge', and by far the best one we have stayed in. The lodge was comfortable and a good size. We loved the hot tub; and eating on the veranda, right next to the trees, with the sound of the birds singing, and frequent glimpses of rabbits, squirrels and even deer. Will definitely return!
Date of stay: 29th May 2017
The lodge was lovely with lots of space and nice furnishings. We loved our free breakfast pack, was a nice touch. We can't wait to come back to Burnbake.

Excellent service and facilities!! Best mattress i have ever slept on!! Nothing to fault and we have already booked again for next year!
Terri, Lincoln
Date of stay: 12th May 2017
Lodge was lovely, but seemed unfinished. The ceilings were left as bare wood, which seemed odd in a luxury lodge. We were also disappointed to not find a DVD player. The lodge could have been cleaner, there were several cobwebs and a few dead flies left laying around.
Amelia, Broadstone
Date of stay: 8th May 2017
Great lodge, grill could've been cleaned better as it smoked when we used it. Also another frying pan would've been handy as cooking a full English with one is quite challenging!
Elaine, Scunthorpe
Date of stay: 5th May 2017
Wow, wow, wow, what a place! It was both luxurious and comfortable with everything that you could possibly need.
Date of stay: 5th May 2017
Needed some time to recharge our batteries and this break certainly did it. The lodge was very comfortable and the robes, slippers and toiletries added that little touch of luxury.
Andrew, St Andrews
Date of stay: 28th April 2017
Burnbake Lodges are excellent - well-stocked with cutlery, crockery, glasses, kitchen utensils, pans etc. Fluffy bathrobes, slip-ons and separate towels for the superb hot tub were a nice touch. Lodge was clean and comfortable with good bathroom and shower, also toiletries.
Forest Lodge 2 has ample space and facilities for 4 people - comfortable large sofa, dining table & chairs, bathroom and shower room and large hot tub. With only 2 in our party we were spoiled.
Jonathan, Rustington West Sussex

Caroline, Weston Super Mare
Date of stay: 17th February 2017
We stayed in Lodge 20, it was extremely well presented, spotlessly clean and tidy. The hot tub was inspected daily. I couldn't find fault with the lodge other that the washing maching being hidden in a cupboard in the lobby!

Date of stay: 1st August 2016
The lodges were very comfortable - we slept extremely well. They were very well equipped and we had everything that we needed. The hot tub was great, although some of the overhanging branches could be removed to stop debris falling onto the patio and into the hot tub.
Burnbake is close to some fabulous beaches, it only took about ten minutes to reach the coast. National Trust membership meant that parking was free at the wonderful Studland Beach.
Kate, Cwmbran
Date of stay: 29th July 2016
Lovely lodges, and location and very clean and everything you need in them. We had a great time.

Delightful welcome basket, lovely well- equipped, clean lodge. Great hot tub, shame that the campers could view us through the fence!
Richard, Milton Keynes
Date of stay: 10th August 2015
We stayed in logde no.3 for 2 weeks over the sumer holidays. The lodge itself was superb and catered for all our creature comforts. The quality of the fixtures and fittings were luxurious. The hot tub was exceptional and extermely well maintained during our stay. However something to consider is the fact that our lodge backed dirrectly onto the campsite and we were seperated from the campers by a fence made of sticks ergo the campers next to us could see us clambering in and out of our hot tub. Lastly there was a bad smell periodically wafting around our lodge.
June, Wiltshire
Date of stay: 31st July 2015
The hot tub was wonderful, maintained, checked and cleaned and we enjoyed very much.

We did read the website as stating "rope courses were available" and could be booked in advance and thought this was actually at Burnbake but unfortunately not.
Also when we tried to book our grandchildren in we were unable to do so as as the smallest number was a group of 8 and we had much disappointment to deal with!
Date of stay: 31st July 2015
A lovely clean lodge which had everything we needed for our weeks stay even towels for the hot tub were provided. It was a shame the cushions for the outdoor furniture were left outside in all weather as this meant that due to the heavy rain before we arrived we were unable to use them. Otherwise a fantastic holiday in peaceful surroundings the hot was great and well used during our stay.
Alexandra, Stockton On Tees
Date of stay: 24th July 2015
As above... amazing lodges, lovely site but the prices for 2016 have doubled in cost already.

Date of stay: 17th July 2015
really good cabins, suerbly eqipped and spotlessly clean location a little remote for my liking , but other than that, excellent.
Jo, West Midlands
Date of stay: 17th July 2015
Our lodge was positioned in a very private area. We loved coming back from a day out to jump into the huge hot tub. The beds were very comfortable & the kitchen was well equipped. There was a very handy welcome pack consisting of milk, eggs, bacon, bread, tea, coffee & butter.
Andrew, Cambridgeshire
Date of stay: 6th July 2015
We had a fantastic holiday at Burnbake. Just 10 mins drive from lovely beaches other family orientated activities.
Staff were helpful and friendly and the shop on site was reasonable priced.
We would definately come back.
Simon, West Sussex
Date of stay: 3rd July 2015
Lodge was very well equipped and comfortable. Great kitchen.

Plenty of room inside and out for the kids to run around.

Comfy beds and sofa. Lovely big dining table and outdoor furniture/BBQ area were excellent.

Bathrooms very nice. Showers fantastic!

All decorations, fixtures and fittings of a good standard but the ceilings needed a coat of paint (unfinished plasterboard spoilt the overall effect).

Hot tub was amazing (apart from one day it wouldn't work)!
Nigel, Ellesmere Port
Date of stay: 30th June 2015
Superbly equipped, clean, tidy, comfortable - loved the hot tub.
Emma, Southend
Date of stay: 29th June 2015
Very nice newer lodges. Not as private as some might like, but it does make clear that it is on a campsite. Little extras make it that little bit more special. Really nice local welcome food pack.
I've never done the whole "wooden lodge and hot tub" sort of holiday... but put simply, i enjoyed every minute of it. Staff were very polite and helpful, the facilities were perfect. The building and furniture was in great condition. I couldn't fault anything. My wife has never seen me so relaxed... period! Lovely setting, lovely break... the only sad thing is we had to come home... but we are already planning our return! free wifi, loads of room, great kitchen and bathrooms, lots of light, huge windows, perfect hot tub.... i could go on and on!
Brilliant break, hot tub was fabulous and very well cared for. Our boys loved the woods and trails. Great site. Highly recommended.
From start to finish was amazing. We arrived at 12 and check in was at 4, but the team were keen to get us in so they worked hard to get it ready for 1! We were also welcomed by a welcome pack filled with delicious farm eggs, bacon, bread and milk. The lodge was more like a house! And the hot tub was used a lot during our stay. We used the log burner which made it very cosy too. The amazing wildlife around us made it even better - we saw lots of bunnies and deer. HIGHLY recommend and we will be returning back :)
Great location, lovely lodge, really friendly staff
Beautiful location, lots of wildlife, central for days out in surrounding area. Lodge was homely and comfortable and hot tub was the icing on the cake ...
Beautiful lodge in idyllic surroundings, if you want escapism this is the place to go!
A wonderful holiday at Burnbake. The lodge was beautiful with all mod cons and the added luxury of a hot tub. We will be back!
Amazing find. Very clean lodge with everything you should need. Beautiful surroundings and very peaceful. In a remote location but you can reach the beach/corfe castle within 10 minutes drive. Will definately be returning.
Love it will be back
Great lodge. Clean and spacious. Staff friendly and helpful. Not much to do on site but you make you're own fun.
It was a lovely relaxing holiday - such a shame that it flew by!
Excellent comfortable lodge. Very clean. We enjoyed the hot tub. Staff were particularly welcoming.
We enjoyed this holiday, the cabin was warm and cosy, which was appreciated because when we visited the weather was rather cold. We had one problem, which the staff attended to immediately we reported it. It is some way from the main road, but that added to the charm of an 'away from it all' holiday, easy drive to attractions, but peace and quiet when visitors want to relax and enjoy nature. Thank you.
