Forest Edge Reviews

"As said before, the caravan needs a lot of TLC. Radiators need a lick of paint as all rusty, seltaped remote. Stain on sheets, missing knives. Lots of wear and tear to the actual caravan which make it such a shame."
Verified Guest - May 2025
"Caravan was a good size and had excellent facilities and all the cooking equipment we could need (except a bread knife). The kitchen was also very clean.Unfortunately however other areas of the accommodation werent overly clean, with dirty edges on the bathroom floor, the living space carpet had an unpleasant odour and the sofa cushions were stained."
Verified Guest - Apr 2025
"Caravan nice and clean, could of done with a better mattress. Warned about ants, kept everything clean but were still overrun with them"
Verified Guest - Apr 2025
"Lovely small park with spotless, well equipped caravans. No facilities but guests can use Oakdene Forest next door.Lots of traffic noise from A31 but we knew that when we booked.Highly recommend for a break in the New Forest."
SHARON - Apr 2025
"Our Forest Edge review: We stayed in the caravan and honestly, it was surprisingly comfy-way better than many lodges we've been in before. Can't really find any faults with it at all."
Sam - Mar 2025
"We had such a relaxing stay! The lodge was spotless and super comfy. Loved exploring the local walks, plenty to do nearby."
Rachel - Sep 2024
"Great place, would visit again"
Emma Carter - Aug 2024
"Absolutely loved our stay! The caravan was spotless and super well-equipped, making cooking so easy and enjoyable."
Sarah Jennings - Mar 2024
"We had a lovely stay at Forest Edge. The caravan was really roomy and spotless, with a great shower. Definitely recommend it if you're planning to visit the New Forest area!"
Emma - Nov 2023
"The lodges are right next to a busy road and the balcony stays in shade all day."
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
"Honestly, we were really impressed with everything. The staff went above and beyond and the whole experience was just really enjoyable. Definitely booking again, thanks so much!"
Emma Collins - Nov 2023
"We had a really lovely holiday overall. The caravan was fantastic-spotless and even better than we expected, especially since it was dog-friendly. It was all set up with beds made before we arrived, which was a nice touch and there was plenty of space inside. Everything was in good working order, so no issues there. The location was perfect for exploring Dorset and the New Forest and the site itself was well looked after. The only thing that was a bit of a bummer was the road noise. We had checked beforeh and with Skye about where wed be staying and she assured us it would be away from the main road. Sadly, it wasnt quite the case and the constant traffic rumble made it tricky to sleep on our first night. Still, wed happily come back, maybe to a quieter part of the park next time. Overall, a great stay!"
Emma - Nov 2023
"We had a great time exploring Dorset from this spot. The location is perfect for getting around and seeing the sights. The park itself is spotless and the staff always go out of their way to help. The only thing is, theres a bit of noise from the A31, which didnt bother us but might be an issue for those after total silence. Facilities are a bit limited on-site, but we appreciated the passes to the nearby site with swimming pools, a bar and food. Our 3-bed caravan was spacious enough for four adults and two kids. It was very clean, though the furniture wasnt the most comfy, but wed definitely come back!"
James - Nov 2023
"We really appreciated how tidy and modern the caravan was-definitely the cleanest site we've been to! The staff were super friendly and helpful. Loved the cycle through the woods to reach the main area with the pool and facilities. Only downside was the constant road noise at the back, which made sleeping a bit tricky, especially late at night."
Alex - Nov 2023
"The lodge was super tidy and really good value, which we appreciated a lot. Its a shame about the location, wish it was nearer the coast though. Still, the place itself was top-notch. Wed definitely stay here again, no doubt about it!"
Jamie - Nov 2023
"We really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was spotless and cosy, with great walks nearby. Perfect location, not too far from everything we needed."
James - Nov 2023
"We had a lovely stay at Forest Edge, but the traffic noise was a bit of a bother. Just a heads up, theres no entertainment on-site, so youll need to walk or drive to Oakdene if thats something youre after. Still, overall, a nice break."
Emma Johnson - Nov 2023
"We had a really good stay here, honestly. The site was peaceful and kept nice, with clear signs and friendly staff who were happy to help. The location of our caravan was spot on, super clean, warm and cosy. We loved that there were two parking spaces right next to the caravan-such a relief! The hot tub was spotless and at just the right temperature, which made evenings really relaxing. The best part? Check-in was contactless and our caravan was ready a good two hours before the scheduled time, so we missed the rain while unloading-winning! Overall, we had a fantastic week and will definitely come back, hopefully to the same caravan again."
Harriet - Nov 2023
"Great experience, really loved the caravan, definitely planning to return!"
Amelia - Nov 2023
"We had a lovely holiday overall, but waiting for that room ready text was a bit frustrating - it never arrived. The email with the entertainment pass was also missing. Still, the reception staff at Oakdene Forest Park were really helpful and friendly."
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
"We had a really lovely time, especially since it was our first trip with the dog. The walks were nice, though it was a bit noisy with traffic at first, but we got used to it quickly. Would definitely recommend!"
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
"We recently stayed in one of your caravans and honestly, it was quite a lovely experience. The staff really went out of their way to help us out, which we appreciated. The location is fantastic - close enough to loads of attractions but far enough that it wasnt too busy all the time. We enjoyed the peaceful walk through the woods when we crossed over to the main site. All in all, a really nice place to stay and wed definitely come back!"
Jess - Nov 2023
"Really enjoyed the experience, will definitely be booking again soon, thanks!"
Emma - Nov 2023
"The place offers really good value for money, though a coffee table would make it perfect. Cheers!"
Alex - Nov 2023
"Great spot overall, really enjoyed our stay despite the busy road noise."
Charlotte Evans - Nov 2023
"We had a lovely stay at Forest Edge and honestly, we really appreciated the cosy vibe of the small site. The connection to Oakdene is great, even if we didnt realise the walk would be so long-about a mile! Its a bit of a trek, especially for kids and with the weather being so wet and muddy, it was quite the adventure. The only downsides were the lack of sockets in the second bedroom and the sofa not being super comfy, but overall, a good experience!"
Emma - Oct 2023
"Really enjoyed our stay here! The caravan felt super modern and roomy, ideal for a chilled weekend. The hot tub was spotless and just what we needed. Great spot - were coming back in summer!"
Emma - Jun 2023
"We enjoyed our holiday very much, our van was clean & of a good standard, the park is very clean, not very large but the sister site is close by for swimming & entertainment. There are a couple of dog friendly pubs which do good food nearby. This site is quiet & just outside the entrance is forest which is great for dog walking which our dog loved. We would definitely return to this site to see more of Hampshire."
Christine - Jul 2022
"Just what we wanted peace and quiet. Mobile home was excellent had more than everything we needed. Very happy customer would definitely go back again. Gives you time to recharge your batteties."
Justine - Jul 2022
"A nice and quiet relaxing caravan site."
Donald - Jul 2022
"Beautiful site Close to a host of locations and forest parks Only concern was the constant noise from the A31"
Denise - Jul 2022
"Amazing and helpful staff made our honeymoon very welcoming, great and tasty food great value for money"
Daniel - Jun 2022
"Wonderful accommodation weather and location"
Jill - Jun 2022
"Back from a lovely weekend break at Forest Edge. Very small site but use of Oakdene facilities. The site was very very clean and with just my husband and our dog perfect location for forest walks. Would recommend and will stay again"
Christine - Jun 2022
"Easy self check-in. Really lovely, clean and spacious 3 bed. Tidy very well kept park. Great location with walking distance to forest. And the staff are very friendly and helpful. The best uk holiday park we have stayed in by far."
