Maesmawr Farm Resort Reviews

We stayed in the osprey lodge. Its like a home from home and looks exactly like it shows in the pictures. Very quiet site which is what we wanted. A beautiful spotlessly clean lodge. The hot tub with jets and colour changing lights was a dream. We should have been abroad the previous week but I put my back out. We chose this as it wasnt too far to drive and the hot tub being great for my back! Far exceeded our expectations. We were aware there are no amenities as such on site but a chippy, pubs, petrol station and shop just a few minutes drive round the corner. Its a great base to drive out and explore many parts of wales. The views if you do venture out are spectacular. Huge mountains, valleys hills are amazing. Staff were friendly. No complaints from us and will definitely return. The complimentary teas, coffee, hot chocolates, crisps , chocolate, biscuits and popcorn were a lovely touch.

Me & my partner was very happy with the lodge & hot tub and facilities in the lodge was perfect.Me and my partner was a tad upset on the second day as we got followed by a red car around the park as we arrived late on the first night we didnt get chance to look around so we looked around on the 2nd day and we got stopped by the owner (we are assuming) asking us why we are looking around and questioning us about a situation that happened previous about a car rooming around the park at 4am. We understand safety of residents is important but it just put a bit of a downer on the day, the lady was very apologetic though. Overall we did have an amazing time and we are planning on going back in May for my partners birthday.

Unbelievable place! Will definately be going again

We booked this stay for new year as a family of 3 with 2 small dogs. Such a lovely site, lovely veiws and walks. Was clean on arrival and you are provided with a little hamper which is a nice touch. Would defiantly recommend and book to stay here again. Nice, quiet and relaxed break. Thank you
Rachel - Jan 2024
Staff were friendly and helpful on arrival. Very quiet campsite, which is what we wanted. Lovely lodge. Hot tub great. Had all the facilities that we needed. Good that they supplied a little washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. Slight issue trying to work out the TV, got there in the end. Bed comfy. Lots of towels supplied. Bath could do with safety handles for getting in and out of shower. Definitely recommend.

Excellent place
Mark - Jan 2024
Really lovely ! Had a washing machine and dishwasher was very much appreciated. Also happy to have a hoover to keep things tidy ! Really lovely place
Leanne - Jan 2024
Nice relaxing break in quiet location.
Brenda - Jan 2024
Perfect break for parents taking a well deserved break I wouldnt recommend taking children that need lots of entertaining as there are no facilities onsite
Verified Guest - Dec 2023
Our lodge was very spacious, especially our room. Everything was very clean and had plenty of cleaning supplies( we bring our own just incase and wasn't needed). We were supplied with a pack that gave us any and all information needed like shops, takeaways, places to explore, shops etc. WiFi luckily stretched to our lodge which was quite far into the park. This is our new favourite place to stay and will definitely be back within the year!
Abi - Dec 2023
The sofabed was awkward to sit on when youd sit on it for a long time and the cushions would sink into the pull out. Not a lot of worktop space to prepare food whilst the dishes are drying on the rack.
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
Shouldn't really say child size bunks as only a bed at top bottom is a hole with no bed so not bunks nothing on site to do which is good for relaxing but not good for kids as other families just spent the day in hot tub shouting from 7am. Had lovely holiday as travelled everyday to do things but think a play area would be good as plenty of grass area to put one.
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
Condor Lodge comes with a large decking with hot tub. The master bedroom has a walk in wardrobe, and the twin room was a decent size. Wi-fi was available in the lodge. The kitchen has a 50/50 fridge and freezer, and there is a wine cooler and dishwater. There is a large roll-top bath in the bathroom, and a shower in the ensuite large enough to fit 2 people.
Timothy - Nov 2023
Very well put together, clean, spacious and overall very happy.

Stacey - Nov 2023
Lovely relaxing few days at the lodge, the lodge was immaculate, as were the farm grounds. the staff were super friendly and helpful. The lodge had everything we needed and more, quality furniture, everything you need for the kitchen. Bedding and towels great quality, and plenty of towels provided for everyone. The hot tub was amazing, clean and lovely and warm. We would definitely revisit this lovely park.
Sarah - Nov 2023
This is our 2nd time visiting this year, it is a lovely quite area, its definitely somewhere to go if you just want a nice quite relaxing break. My daughter loved the hot hub :)we are looking at booking to come again next year and try one of the lodges.
Rebecca - Nov 2023
Beautiful pod, very well equipped. Welcome box was a lovely gesture and a great hit with my 2 children. Hot tub was ready to get into upon arrival. Had an issue with hot water which was dealt with and sorted within 20minutes! Very efficient.
Nicola - Nov 2023
Brilliant place to relax and do nothing and the on site staff are friendly
Matt - Nov 2023
The hot tub was perfect and the snacks they left us on arrival were appreciated. The only thing for me knocking it down from 5 stars are hopefully one offs. They were building some decking 2 cabins down and there was a lot of noise, timing that on half term break when there were people booked into the nearby cabins was probably not the best decision. There was also quite a bit of dog hair on the floor, I know it's a nightmare to clean it all up and the rest of the cabin was really clean but there was enough of it for me to notice and wonder how well the floor had been done. All that said though it was still a lovely break and for what we paid we got great value for money. I would recommend it and hope that these 2 points are noted by the company running it so it doesn't affect anyone else's experience.
Helen - Nov 2023
Very pleasant and enjoyable site, very high standard from grounds to lodge, staff very helpful would recommend to family and friends.
Gwendoline - Nov 2023
Amazing accommodation, such a lovely and homely feel to the one we stayed in. It was super clean and had everything we needed. We will be back.
Erin - Nov 2023
Luxury accommodation. Peaceful, tranquil and wonderfully relaxing. Scenery stunning, and green, even rainy days couldnt spoil it. Hot tub was a bonus but you couldnt beat the bath inside. Very large lodge despite it being for only 2 people, and the dog. Easy distance to walk into village if you wanted to venture out but I loved the time to read a book, in peace. Will definitely book again.
Dominique - Nov 2023
Lodges are spot on. Lovely little break. We stayed in bijoux and there was no cons. We were welcomed with a cute little basket of treats. The lodges were spotless and very clean and well maintained.. The living area was really cosey with a little fire with colourful and dimmer lighting options to adjust to your choice. The beds were really comfortable and again spotless. The hot-tub was clean and a nice warm temperature. We stayed for 3 nights two weeks ago in November so and I can honestly say the lodge was very cosey and modern I could actually live there. The resort is located a ten minute walk to a near by train station which was very handy to have a break from driving down the country roads. There is a town centre 5/6 miles away with yours truly McDonalds and the good old Morrisons. We noticed others even getting shopping delivered by local stores. The staff are friendly and help with any enquiries you have. I would definitely recommend and stay again had a lovely time. Thank you.
Danielle - Nov 2023
Safari tent was clean and reasonably well equipped. Especially enjoyed the outdoor hot tub which was great to relax in and admire the amazing views. The only improvements I would suggest is the provision of a microwave and a more accessible clothes storage area.
Andrew - Nov 2023
Just back from a short break October half term. Lodge was absolutely stunning! Beautifully decorated with a contemporary slightly industrial look. Felt very special and the hot tub was great too. The staff were very attentive and friendly and the hot tub was checked twice a day then completely emptied and cleaned at the end of your stay. Was spotless. The village which is about a 15 min walk away had a couple of small convenience stores, a couple of pubs and a fish and chip shop. However, although it was October half term the pubs were closed Monday and Tuesday and the takeaway had very limited opening hours being 9 hours for the whole week. So I would recommend taking all the food supplies you need and cook in the lodge. The seasons cafe which isn't far at all is open daily and do a great bacon roll but closes early. Had a fabulous completely relaxing time.
Verified Guest - Oct 2023
Very comfortable and warm lodge only complaint is not enough plates cups glasses etc so have to continually wash up or use the dishwasher after every meal
Anne - Oct 2023
lovely clean lodge
Sandra - May 2023
Bed wasnt the best for myself but maybe thats because its Im not use to spring. But overall what a wonderful holiday away. Staff are always onsite if needed, but you have everything to not need the staff which is brillInt.
Christian - Mar 2023
staff are great. Super helpful and friendly. The grounds are very well kept and clean. We noticed what looked like an expansion of the farm, cannot wait to see how Marsmawr Farm will look in the future, its a beautiful place! Would highly recommend ?
Lauren - Aug 2022
Stunning location, beautiful accommodation.
Clare - Aug 2022
Amazing location, very peaceful and relaxing. The break was for myself and 2 teenage daughters. We had such a lovely few days they didn’t want to come home. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They also went above and beyond for us. We stupidly left a bag at the local train station. I wasn’t convinced from the train conductor we would get it back. I contacted Maesmawr and they kindly picked it up for us. Definitely will return to this place. The hot tub was a huge hit and the pod was very comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful break.
Claire - Aug 2022
Can’t fault the holiday, wonderful place to visit with friends. Surroundings were stunning and local amenities were fine. Avoid the chippy though, chips were foul, the wait was ridiculous and they missed one of our battered sausages off the order!
Sinead - Jul 2022
Unreal place. Stayed here for a weekend. So relaxing. The lodge provides you with everything you need. Everything is spotless. Hot tub was lush. Highly recommend
Ross - Jul 2022

Dylan - Jul 2022
We had a really lovely time the lodge was stunning clean and modern lovely and peaceful setting everything you needed was there I would definitely return
Danielle - Jul 2022
Due to unforeseen circumstances arrived a day later. On entering accommodation dirty laundry left just inside the door reception called and was removed virtually straight away. Noticed not enough towels for amount of people staying called reception again for another set. Had to ask again mid week they were then brought over. Hot tub lovely, big and deep abit too much chlorine in though. Accommodation was lovely tv in each room, couldn't fault it. Lovely quiet site and surroundings. All my family enjoyed themselves eespecially my whippet Would definitely book again.
Beverly - Jul 2022
It's an amazing site set in superb countryside. The site is modern, well maintained with friendly staff. It's an ideal site to recharge your batteries, switch off an explore Wales. The lodges are modern, well equipped and the hot tubs are ideal for unwinding and sitting in enjoying the sunset. It's value for money and already booked for next year.
Benjamin - Jul 2022
Excellent clean lodge, has everything you need inside including a fan which is always essential. Secure for the dog, modern style it’s like home from home quality wise. Bathrooms are very nice designed. Close to Shewsbury only an hour away, we went there a few days it’s lovely. Plenty of restaurants allow dogs.
