Castle Pren Lodges are stunning lodges with hot tubs in the Powys area of wales.  The countryside views are a real bonus and the location on an actual working farm make these lodges really unique.  Couples, and families with children would love the setting here.

The Eco friendly lodges are just a short drive from the Elan Valley reservoirs and also the famous Brecon Beacons National Park.  If you prefer a stroll then there is picture perfect farmland and Welsh hills right on the doorstep.  Alternatively cycle hire is available on the park - another option to get out and explore this stunning area.

The lodges themselves are bespoke in design, and offer open plan living with stylish decor.  French doors lead out onto lovely decking areas and of course the private outdoor hot tubs.  Imagine relaxing in your own outdoor hot tub taking in the countryside views.  The bedrooms are split into king size doubles and twin rooms although the twin rooms can be made into doubles by arrangement.

For a great day out head to the Small Breeds Farm Park and Owl Centre 13 miles away from the lodges.  It was voted Herefordshire Family Attraction of the Year.

We were extremely lucky with the weather we had whilst staying here which made the location and experience so much better. Castle Pren lodges is in a beautiful location and the lodge is gorgous! The hot tub was warm and ready to use upon our arrival! We were sad to leave, after having such a lovely weekend away. Would happily return to this location again!

Date of stay: 27th November 2017
Second stay at Sais Lodge, excellent from start to finish. Everything you could need is there, the hot tub is always hot, clean and ready, and the owner brought us extra fire wood for the freezing cold weekend. Only things to mention would be that the curtains in the bedrooms are very thin so you wake up early, and there should be a notice warning of how hot the kitchen tap is, almost instantly boiling!

Date of stay: 20th October 2017
Arran lodge was lovely and very well equipped, only thing I forgot to pack that wasn't there was a hairdryer. The lodge is large and comfortable with comfy beds and plenty of storage space. Lots of nice touches such as laundry room and dishwasher. Some simple board games, dvd player and a Wii with one game were provided.
The hot tub was perfect, large and clean. Logs and lighters were freely available for the wood burning stove. The two lodges are a good distance apart so it is very private. Just take your provisions, a good book and some bath robes and enjoy the beautiful view.
Louise, Scarborough
Date of stay: 9th October 2017
The lodge had everything we could need and more, it was clean, spacious and private. Elleyn was lovely and so helpful and I wanted to take her little dog home! Paradise on earth.

A beautiful lodge. Well furnished and comfy. In a beautiful area of wales, Llanbister.
When we needed help Andrew was very quick to respond and resolve.
My sister and I will definitely book again to discover more places. Although we didn't have the best weather there was no reason to stay at home.

Date of stay: 18th August 2017
We had a great week. The location is fantastic although of course you need a car. We were looking for somewhere quiet and private and that is what we had. The scenery in this part of Wales is beautiful and this was the case around the Lodge. It is set on a farm with one other lodge. Our dog loved watching the sheep. In fact the only thing we heard on arrival was the sheep. Total silence otherwise. The lodge is spacious and has good facilities. In a perfect world a second bathroom would be nice. The owners were very helpful and of course when you have a holiday with a hot tub on site you have a chance to see them every day. Our only issue on arrival was that we felt the Lodge could have been cleaned a little more thoroughly but this was certainly not a major matter. The tub was fantastic - really spacious with plenty of room for us (two adults, a tall 17 year old and an 11 year old). We have no hesitation in recommending this holiday.

Great location, in country setting, ideal for a relaxing break. Lodge was perfect and has everything you need, with a fantastic hot tub on the patio. Plenty of space for children to run around and play games in the garden. Owners very welcoming, friendly and helpful with information on the area. Looking forward to a return visit.

Only issue is that the Jacuzzi wasn't emptied and refilled for the next customer, just chemical cleaner added!

Date of stay: 17th March 2017
This place is beautiful, the lodge is so full of light with wonderful panoramic views right the way around it, it was really clean and beautifully decorated. The Hot tub was really nice, it was great to turn off all the lights and have some bubbly in the bubbles with the starry night sky above me. It was lambing season when I went there and it was so nice to see the lambs in the field and they came up to the Lodge bleating and bouncing with joy it was lovely. I took my dogs and they loved the space and the countryside, the walks are beautiful and we visited Elan Valley and Devils Bridge which is well worth a visit.
The only downfall is that there was no Wifi but if you want a break from Technology its perfect!

The cabin is a great base if you want to go exploring the countryside or the many local villages surrounding. However it is also great if you plan on staying in the cabin/hot tub for a whole week, you are provided with everything you need, from fresh milk on arrival to extra firewood when requested.
Louise, South Wales
Date of stay: 23rd December 2016
Absolutely beautiful place to stay and would thoroughly recommend to friends and family. We received a warm welcome and he owners were friendly and helpful. The lodge was clean and very well equipped. We were fortunate to have some clear nights to really appreciate the sky in an unlit area.

We would love to stay again but this might be quite difficult as we have 4 children. It's a shame the lodges are not 3 bedroom or have the opportunity for a pull out bed in the large twin room. We could easily put the 3 boys in one room together!

We are planning a get away without the children one day and this is the top of our list for Wales.

One of the best holidays I had in the UK. Farmer Andrew was a lovely helpful host.
The lodge is large spacious and very well equipped.
Fantastic scenery, wonderful hot tub and a welcoming log burner in the evenings.
Only my second visit to wales we planned a restful week which the lodge is perfect location. We could not resist the fantastic views of the dams at Elan Valley, heritage railway, food festival, and bit adventure at devils bridge all nearby. We look forward to a return visit

Date of stay: 13th May 2016
Iv stayed in a lot of lodges and this by far tops them all. The owner was such a lovely man (even dropping of milk and cakes on arrival). The lodge was welcoming, clean and had everything anyone would need plus more. Again the best hot tub I have ever been in. All added up to a fantastic holiday.

Only downside for me was you are miles from anywhere, that being said that's also a plus side for this lodge. It truly is peaceful and secluded.

I will 100% be returning here in the not so distant future. Keep doing what your doing said lodge you are doing a fantastic job .

Lovely lodge an hot tub was big enough for 6! Very cosy with the log fire, nobody about! Bike ride in the local village we would recommend.. Could have done with wifi as very poor signal on mobile phones, even tho it was kinda nice to be cut off from everything. Views were amazing.. We will be returning ! Thank you

Date of stay: 1st February 2016
Visited for a long weekend at the end of January 2016 following a stressful 2015 so just wanted to relax and the lodge delivered exactly what was needed, will definitely be staying again. Lodge is situated approximately 15/20 minutes drive away from the llandridrod which has a Tesco and Aldi so close enough to pick up essentials. The only criticism I have of the lodge was there wasn't enough baking trays, so I would suggest taking a couple and tin foil, the fact that is my only negative should tell you how good the place is :). Ask Andrew or jeni if you want more wood for the fire as they are happy to help and a pleasure to deal with. Oh yes so I don't forget THE JACUZZI IS AMAZING and the pictures don't do it justice!
Robert, Driffield
Date of stay: 1st February 2016
The lodge has everything you could need and even after six months or so everything was in good condition and well maintained. Spotlessly clean and little things like milk and welsh cakes left makes you feel welcomed.
Adam, Gainsborough
Date of stay: 29th January 2016
Everything was good, views outstanding and had a good time despite the rain. Loved the hot tub. The owner was very helpful and friendly.

Only negatives were a dirty broken glass in the cupboard and the towels were left in the washing machine when we arrived.
Sarah, Bridgend
Date of stay: 25th January 2016
Lodges were fantastic, very clean and fully equipped. Owners very nice and helpful. Views fantastic and hot tubs excellent. Bit far approx. 10 miles from Tesco or local pub. We had a large group of adults we used both lodges and had a fantastic time. Phone signal not good on any network.

Beautiful lodge, lovely fixtures and fittings, luxurious, only comment I can make is that a second toilet and another seating area in the lounge would have made it perfect.

the lodge was absolutely beautiful, very clean, friendly farmer (and dog), the only down side for us was that it was on the remote side, i.e we would have liked to dine out local shops, pub, etc, but other than that we had a fabulous time very relaxing, stunning senory... very happy.

We had a wonderful time in the lodge. The setting was amazing, the lodge was beautiful and had everything you could wish for. The owners were so friendly and went out of their way to make our stay so memorable. A few teething issues as the lodges are so new but these were resolved immediately. We have stayed in numerous lodges and this has been the best by far. Can't wait to return soon.

Arran lodge was by far the best lodge we have stayed in. It was so spacious and modern and loved the design of the L shape giving it character and privacy. We really relaxed in this beautiful comfortable lodge enjoying the breathtaking countryside views out of every window. The hot tub was fab - nothing better than relaxing in this huge bubbly tub with the stars above. Would highly recommend this location as you really do feel you are away from all the hustle and stress of everyday life. We left feeling very relaxed and refreshed. Will definitely be returning.

Rachel
Absolutely loved this place, loved the remoteness - the piece and quiet. The children loved the freedom to run and play outside without the worry of vehicles. The lodge itself was fantastic, clean and well equipped.
Mark
We had a great time. Very relaxing, can’t wait to go back. Will book again.
Ryan
Other than mobile phone coverage (but if you want to stay out the way, why would you need it) there is absolutely nothing bad to say about the lodge.. private, lovely views, and plenty of space to live in.. the lodge is superbly maintained, and the lack of light-pollution makes the after dark visits to the hot dumb exceptional if the night is clear.. If you want a private time away, just as a couple or family, i can’t see why anyone wouldn’t want to go!!
Penelope
What a fantastic break we have. The lodge was clean and spacious. The owners were fantastic check on us everyday to make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you

Second stay at Sais Lodge, excellent from start to finish. Everything you could need is there, the hot tub is always hot and ready, and the owner brought us extra fire wood for the freezing cold weekend.
