Weybread Lakes Lodges Reviews

Lovely relaxing weekend break. Great facilities and very clean
Sharon - Jan 2024
Maple Lodge is excellent. You cant fault it. Luxury fittings, that lovely wood smell of a proper log cabin. This is our favourite lodge because of the layout with the bath in the bedroom, it looks amazing.Everything has been thought of, stereo reaches every room, including bathroom. All kitchen utensils, kitchen roll, washing up liquid, etc. Welcome pack. Large fridge freezer.Large Smart TV to plug your Fire Stick into.Large real Christmas Tre with lights.Underfloor heating, luxurious king size bed with quality linen.Of course the hot tub and sauna are top notch too. There are not many places in the UK that tick all these boxes for the money and we have stayed in a lot but we always come back to this one.Its so quiet here you can hear a pin drop. Will be back next year.
Claire - Jan 2024
We love Weybread lakes. We have stayed in all the lodges over the years. This was our 4th visit to Larch. It always has the wow factor. Everything you need and more! Our stay here was perfect.
Carol - Jan 2024
Fantastic break with great privacy and facilities for a relaxing and comfortable get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Would definitely go back
Ashley - Jan 2024
The lodge was spotless and fitted out with everything you could need. The bed was also huge and very comfy!
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
Heron Lodge was perfect for our weekend stay! Lovely and clean, private and had everything we needed and more! Sauna and hot tub great and easy to use.
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
Beautiful location, wonderful lodge, highly recommended, although rather pricey
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
A lovely, tranquil setting where every detail has been thought of.
Mark - Nov 2023
Wow! Would give 10 stars if I could. The photos really do not do the lodge and lake justice. We had the most luxurious stay, with the lodge being fully equipped with everything you could ever need for your stay. Will definitely be returning!
Jessica - Nov 2023
Simply the best place to stay to unwind and relax. Willow lodge has great views of the lake with an internal Sauna and private hot tub on the decking. All facilities in the lodge are first class. It has a great modern wide screen tv with all the standard streaming apps. It personally been our favourite lodge of the 3 visits we have had!
James - Nov 2023
I spent a lovely week at Heron Lodge, Weybread Lakes and I was very impressed with the location, the lodge and the facilities.I fished the lake and caught a few, but it isn't a bite a cast lake but still good fun. Shame the weather wasn't kind for the first 3-4 days. The lodge was so clean and really nicely furnished, I highly recommend.
Dominic - Nov 2023
great lodges and fishing pity the owners never greeted or introduced themselfs
Brian - Nov 2023
Absolutely everything you could want is provided.5 lodges around the lake, with plenty of space between each to give total privacy.Fantastic bedroom (great bed frame), wonderful bathroom (warm and refreshing), spacious kitchen/dinner/lounge with everything you could need.Hot-tub is wonderful, wife loved the indoor suns and when the sun is out the wooden patio gives a beautiful view of the lake (mere feet away). Unfortunately October is a bit cold for a BBQ, but imagine it is wonderful on the lake edge.100% would recommend to any romantic couple, young or old.
Anthony - Nov 2023
great lodges and fishing pity the owners never greeted or introduced themselfs
Brian - Oct 2023
Willow lodge is amazing, a large spacious with the most fabulous sauna. One of our favourites
Philippa - Jun 2023
Fantastic break! The only problem is you don't want to explore the area because the lodge is so nice, including a superb hot tub and sauna
Matthew - May 2023
Did not see any staff so can't give a true score to them, excellent lodges Bed was a bit hard for us so if you prefer a softer mattress take a topper, fishing was very good and the surroundings are very peaceful, would definitely go again
Kevin - Aug 2022
Lovely lodge Bit disappointed with hot tub as jets didn’t all work. Apart from that all good
Andrew - Aug 2022
Lovely accommodation. Excellent facilities. Great location. The only downside is that no music can be played outside at all, ie. when in the hottub or using sun loungers. But to be fair, we didn't really miss it.
Kevin - Jul 2022
If you want a peaceful relaxing stress free holiday then this is the place to go!! The lodge was clean and very well equipped. The hot tub and sauna are well maintained and very private - loved it xx
Julie - Jul 2022
Did not see the staff as they only come as and when needed
Anthony - Jul 2022
Fantastic few days away in a quiet peaceful location. Carp fishing was good too! Lodges are absolutely amazing. Would highly recommend Heron lodge. If your looking for a peaceful location with great fishing then this is for you.
Tracey - Jun 2022
Had a wonderful time - lodge was superb.
Sally - Jun 2022
Second visit to Willow Lodge, which is our favourite, out of all the various lodges we have stayed at throughout the country. Well set out, very well appointed and great location on the lake. Some great restaurants in the area, and well positioned for exploring.
Kev - Jun 2022
peaceful coupes retreat
Kenneth - Jun 2022
We had a very peaceful short break and didn’t leave the lodge so the surrounding area didn’t matter. We had no reason to speak to the staff as they had left brilliant instructions for the facilities and everything was ready for us and in full working order. We don’t have a single complaint..
Gemma - Jun 2022
We stayed in the Kingfisher lodge and arrived immediately after getting married. Our lodge was just beautiful. We were after luxury and we definitely got it! We also ordered a Tesco delivery and the driver found us with ease. The weather was perfect too but even if it wasn’t it still would’ve been a great break away!
Anna - Jun 2022
Wonderful simple booking in and out process coupled with a beautiful lodges and location
Andrew - Jun 2022
Break was lovely our second time Peaceful.
Paula - May 2022
It’s been over 10 years since we last stayed at Weybread and were a little worried that things might not still be as good as we remembered but we shouldn’t have worried in fact the way the site has matured made it even more private and the wildlife more evident we had baby rabbits and a deer on our decking it was marvellous to see. Only thing missing was the fresh eggs
Lorna - May 2022
Everything was as it should be did not see the host at all thort they would just called to check everything was ok and
Kevin - May 2022
Would definitely recommend Maple Lodge first lodge on lake and very private
Rachel - Aug 2020
Beautiful lodge and beautiful place. Really relaxing and enjoyable. No complaints at all
Justine - Aug 2020
Excellent- well appointed luxury lodge.
Joanna - Aug 2020
Great holiday. Amazing lodge & setting!
Christopher - Aug 2020
Willow Lodge is amazing, everything you need and the setting is so quiet. Would definitely book again & soon. Indoor sauna, hot tub outside. Perfect.
Barry - Aug 2020
Kingfisher Lodge was absolutely perfect. We were warned that some of the furnishing would be removed to make it less of an infection risk, but we honestly couldn't notice. Hot tub is well enclosed for privacy, but would have been nice to have been able to look out across the lake whilst in there, but would rather be too private than not at all.
Verified Guest - Jul 2020
We wanted a peaceful week away from the madness. This ticked all the boxes.
David - Jul 2020
A brilliant, relaxing holiday. I can't wait to return!
Claire - Jul 2020
Absolutely lovely Lodge! Beautifully relaxed surroundings.
Jean - Mar 2020
If youre in need of peace and quiet and total relaxation, then this is the place for you.
Weve already recommended to the family.
We will certainly return.
Thank you
Gene - Mar 2020
We stayed in the Heron Lodge and it was simply amazing. The lodge is very modern, cosy and inviting. The lodges are well spaced apart so you have complete privacy. The outside sauna and jacuzzi are wonderful and and so very relaxing. The views of the lake are beautiful and it was nice to sit out with a coffee in the morning watching all the ducks. This was one of the best weekends we've had and will definitely visit again.
Karen - Feb 2020
a lovely time as always
Alan - Feb 2020
Larch lodge truly has the wow factor. From the second you walk through the door you smell the wood of the lodge. The whole lodge is of exceptional standard, the kitchen is fully fitted with a dishwasher and washer/dryer, and everything you will need to cook, and enough glasses of all sizes so you don't have to wash up very often. The living area has a very comfortable leather sofa, and a large TV with a sound system, which enabled you to have music in all rooms including the indoor sauna. The bathroom had a massive wow factor, with a large roll top bath, and a double shower and sinks. The bed was so comfortable with French doors leading onto the decking with a sunken very private hot tub. There is also a dining area with sun loungers at the front of the lodge, which overlooks the lake. A credit to the owners.

Attractions Near Weybread Lakes Lodges

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Weybread Lakes Lodges. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 12 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
Suffolk Owl Sanctuary - IP28 6HX
about 14 Miles
This amazing owl sanctuary located in the Stowmarket area of Suffolk should be high on your list of places to visit in the area.  The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region.  The sanctuary also raises awareness of owl conservation throughout the UK.  Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.
Africa Alive - NR33 7TF
about 17 Miles
Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park - NR32 4TZ
about 20 Miles
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 20 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 23 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 24 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Ickworth House, Park & Gardens - IP29 5QE
about 29 Miles
The National Trust Ickworth House, Park & Gardens is a Beautiful 1800 acre country estate with many attractions including a fantastic adventure playground for the children and a range of nature trails which the whole family will enjoy. The site also has a family friendly cycle route a gift shop and a small café
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN

if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 38 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
National Horse Racing Museum - CB8 8JL
about 38 Miles
This is a museum with a difference and a must see if you are into horse racing.  You can take guided tours around the museum or choose to wander round yourself admiring the exhibits.  New for 2010 is a Junior Fun Tour which is ideal for children.  Simply ask the gallery staff for a Fun Tour pack when you enter the museum and kids can answer questions and spot clues and tips on the way round.  One of the most popular recent exhibitions is the Thoroughbred: State of the Art exhibition in Gallery 5 on until 31st October.  Check out their websites for the latest exhibitions.
