Booking pet friendly lodges with hot tubs means the whole gang comes along: you in the bubbles, the dog snoring on the deck with a chew, and nobody at home worrying about kennels. Every dog friendly lodge below has a private hot tub and welcomes pets, so the sofa-and-lead part of the holiday is sorted before you’ve even packed. Some are luxury lodges with log burners, others are simple cabins in quiet countryside, and a couple come with a secure garden that lets the dog roam while you soak. Better still, you can have both.
Take a long walk, come back, pull the cover off the tub. That’s the whole idea.
How many dogs are allowed? Is the garden enclosed? Can pets go upstairs? We’ve covered all of that below, with real dog friendly lodges from around the UK, from Cornwall to Scotland.
Here are five holiday lodges and cabins from our live listings, spread across the country. Each one takes pets and has its own private hot tub, so you’re not queuing for a shared pool with a wet spaniel. Several sit in open countryside with views of fields or woodland, and the dog friendly lodges here suit anything from a cosy weekend to a week with the in-laws.
Sleeps up to 6 – pets welcome – woodland setting – private hot tub

Rolling farmland and woods surround these lodges at Knitsley, and each has an enclosed deck with a private hot tub. There’s level access throughout, a wild woodland play area, and a forest school area you can book sessions at. A coffee shop opens Wednesday to Saturday, 10am to 3pm, so you can grab a cuppa after the morning loop.
Sleeps up to 4 – pets welcome – near a beach – romantic – wood burning stove

It’s a short drive to Bude’s beaches, and you get a private electric hot tub with a privacy screen and a wood burning stove with logs included. Underfloor heating keeps wet paws and cold toes happy. There’s a games room and volleyball net on site if you’ve got a family in tow, and there are other roundhouses on the same farm if you’re travelling with friends and their dogs!
Sleeps up to 8 – pets welcome – private garden

Room for eight, parking for four cars, and Dundee a few minutes away when you fancy a wander. Back at the house you’ll find a private garden, a hot tub and a lounge big enough for everyone, dog included. Four bedrooms means nobody has to share with the snorer.
Sleeps up to 4 – pets welcome – near a pub – open fire – enclosed garden

This single-level barn conversion has a private hot tub and an enclosed garden with a gate, outdoor seating and a BBQ. The nearest pub is about 1.5 miles away, and a welcome Prosecco and cookies are waiting when you arrive.

For a big family get-together or a dog-heavy celebration, this Georgian manor has seven en-suite bedrooms, a private hot tub and 30 acres of gardens and woodland to wear everyone out.

Want to compare more? Our top 5 pet friendly lodges with hot tubs is a good next stop, and the main search lets you tick the pets box and filter by region.
Pets welcome on the listing is the start, not the finish.
Before you book, look for the details that make a week with a dog easy rather than stressful. A fenced, secure area matters most if your dog is a runner, and a lodge near a pub that welcomes dogs makes the evenings easier. Here’s what to check:
Looking for a garden you can trust? Our guide to dog friendly cottages with an enclosed garden goes through what to look for.
Coast, fells or forest? The answer depends on your dog as much as you. A spaniel who lives for the sea will be happiest in Cornwall; a collie who wants to run all day might prefer the Lake District or the Peak District.
Cornwall first. Bude has sandy beaches a short drive from several of the lodges above, and the coast path gives you miles of clifftop walking. Beach rules change, though: many Cornish beaches restrict dogs in daytime hours through the summer, usually from around 1 July to 31 August, and some Blue Flag beaches run the restriction into September. Check Cornwall Council’s current list before you set off, as the details change year to year.
Prefer the hills? Our guides to dog friendly Lake District accommodation with hot tubs and dog friendly Yorkshire stays cover fell walks, dog-welcoming pubs and the places where you’ll need a lead because of livestock.
Closer to home? There’s a pet friendly lodge in the East of England too, where flat footpaths and quiet lanes suit older dogs.
Quite often, nothing extra.
Some lodges include a dog in the booking, while others add a per-dog fee for the stay, so read the booking terms on each lodge page. A second dog may cost more, and some owners cap the number at two. If you’re set on log cabins with hot tubs and have two big dogs, check the sleeping and floor space too, because a small cabin can feel tight once the beds are down.
Our pet friendly cottages with hot tubs guide is handy if a lodge is full for your dates, as a cottage with a hot tub can make a similar week.
Sharing a big lodge with friends and their dogs? A quick split of the cost keeps the bank holiday friendly.
No. Hot tubs are for people, and the chemicals aren’t good for dogs. Most owners ask that dogs stay out, so bring a towel and let them dry off on the deck.
It depends on the lodge. One or two is the norm, and some larger properties allow more. Always check the dog limit before you book.
Some lodges charge a per-dog fee, often somewhere between £20 and £30, while others charge nothing. The booking terms will say.
Usually only for short periods and only if the house rules allow it. Check each lodge’s terms.
Jimmy’s Barn in Suffolk has an enclosed garden with a gate, and Haystax’s lodges have an enclosed deck. Our enclosed garden guide lists more.
Yes. The Cornish roundhouses at East Thorne sleep four, and our luxury dog friendly stays for two are made for couples with a dog.
Some can, some can’t. Many Cornish beaches restrict dogs during the day over the summer, and others only ask you to keep them on a lead. Check Cornwall Council’s current list before you go.
