Augill Beck Holiday Park Reviews

"Fantastic new lodge"
Elaine - May 2025
"The lodge is stunning. Brand new, very well equipped. Beautifully decorated and a really relaxing place to be"
Gemma - Apr 2025
"We stayed in the new Chestnut lodge and it was stunning! We had a lovely hot tub too. The site was peaceful & the site manager was lovely. We arrived to a lovely welcome hamper with fresh bread, milk & other goodies. The lodge has everything you need! It was so clean & beautifully decorated & comfortable. We did local walks & ate at some lovely village pubs.We cant wait to go back!"
Donna - Apr 2025
"The lodge was perfect for us, spacious and spotlessly clean. We did notice some traffic noise from the road, but honestly, it became just background noise after a while. Overall, a lovely stay!"
Emma Carter - Apr 2025
"Our Augill Beck Holiday Park review: We had a really nice stay at this lodge. The location is super private, which was perfect for some peace and quiet. The hot tub was a lovely touch and added to the relaxing vibe. The place was generally clean when we arrived, just a few marks here and there, which is pretty normal with regular use. The kitchen had everything we needed and we used it a lot. The only downside was the bed - it wasnt the comfiest, but it didnt ruin our trip. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway!"
George - Mar 2025
"Absolutely loved our stay at The Hazel Lodge! Felt so cosy, almost like being at home. Everything was spotless, spacious and really well looked after. Well definitely come back again!"
Harriet - Dec 2024
"We found this place to be a fantastic base for exploring the lakes, perfect for getting around easily. Its definitely more of a lodge style rather than a traditional lodge - kinda like a super-sturdy caravan, really comfy but with thin walls and small doors, which was a bit surprising. On the plus side, having dressing tables and mirrors in two of the bedrooms was a big win for us! The hot tub was honestly the best weve ever experienced in any of our trips - we do a couple a year, so thats saying something. The kitchen was also top-notch, the best weve had in any holiday rental. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and there were plenty of towels. Yes, theres some road noise from the A66, but you soon get used to it. Overall, a great stay - wed definitely come back!"
Emily - Dec 2024
"It was a perfect chilled-out week, just what we needed, totally relaxing and exactly as planned."
Mark - Sep 2024
"Really impressed with the pod, super clean and tidy."
Alex - Jul 2024
"We had a lovely stay, will visit again!"

Attractions Near Augill Beck Holiday Park

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Augill Beck Holiday Park. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US
about 26 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
Rydal Mount & Gardens - LA22 9LU
about 28 Miles
Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.
Lakeland Wildlife Oasis - LA6 1JH
about 29 Miles
Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction.  With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun.  You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money.  There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.
Big Sheep - EX39 5AP
about 32 Miles
This is a recommended day out for families with young children visiting the Bedale area of Yorkshire.  Visit the farm and receive a warm welcome as well as a guided tour.  You will have the chance to bottle feed the lambs, bath a pig and handle some of the smaller animals.  Kids will love the big sandpit and the outdoor play area. There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.
Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery - CA3 8TP
about 36 Miles
This is a museum and art gallery in one and will suit those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  You can explore the fantastic art collection including Fine Art, Decorative Art and Textiles.  If you love nature then this aspect of Tullie House will appeal. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
Go Ape Northumberland - NE48 1NT
about 37 Miles
Go Ape! has really taken off and become one of the most popular attractions in the UK.  The Northumberland course is set in the stunning grounds of Matfin Hall.  Described as a high wire forest adventure this really is one for the more daring as the course takes place right up in the tree tops.  Giant tree top obstacle courses include ladders, bridges, tunnels and some of the country's best zip lines.  You will be provided with all safety equipment and training on site.
Lightwater Valley - HG4 3HT
about 37 Miles
Situated in the Ripon area of North Yorkshire this popular theme park makes a fantastic day out for the whole family.  The more daring will love the big and thrilling rides such as Raptor Attack, The Ultimate and Trauma Tower.  For the little ones there are some excellent attractions such as Flying Camels, Dodgems and a Magic Wheel.  Toddlers will like the Dragon Boats and the Lightwater Express amongst other things. There are over 40 rides and attractions in total and we think this is excellent value for money too.  If you book your tickets in advance online you can save even more money and beat the queues.
Happy Mount Park - LA4 5AQ
about 38 Miles
Happy Mount Park has attractions for the whole family including several play areas, a miniature railway, crazy golf, putting green and trampolines, there is also a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around in the summer and a café where the adults can relax with a drink. During the summer months and especially during school holidays live music can often be enjoyed.
Lake District Wildlife Park - CA12 4RD
about 39 Miles
We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
