"The place was really welcoming and warm, honestly! Just a small touch like curtains or blinds would make it feel even more homely, but overall lovely."

"We absolutely love this holiday park! Its perfect for dog owners like us, super welcoming and friendly. The lodges are stunning-so modern and spotless. The views of Blencathra are breathtaking, especially at sunset. Its peaceful here, just a short drive to Pooley Bridge and Keswick. Weve already booked our third trip and cant wait to come back again soon! Definitely a place well keep returning to."

"Our Flusco Wood review: We had such a lovely time at Flusco Wood in the Lake District. The on-site facilities were spot on-clean, well-kept and just right for relaxing. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, especially Cliff, who made sure we knew how everything worked in the cottage. We were really lucky with the weather in March, which made our trip even better. There are some cracking walks nearby and the location is just perfect-peaceful but still close enough to visit all the main spots in the Lakes and Penrith without any hassle. Overall, it was a fantastic stay. Wed definitely recommend Flusco Wood and would love to come back sometime!"

"We booked this place for our honeymoon and honestly, it was fantastic. The lodge was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and really comfortable - we couldnt find a single fault. The hot tub was a real highlight and we loved that staff came to clean it every morning, which was a nice touch. Everyone we spoke to was so friendly and helpful, especially when we had a little problem with the gate. The location is great too, easy to get to Pooley Bridge, Keswick and Ambleside. We had an amazing week and are already planning our return trip!"

"We genuinely enjoyed our stay at Goddard Mead! The cottage had everything we needed and the walks right outside were perfect. The warm welcome from the owners made it even better. Lovely folks!"

"Doors squeak loudly, quite annoying indeed."

"We had a lovely stay at this place, nestled in such a peaceful, private spot. The owners were genuinely friendly and always ready to help if needed, but they also respected our privacy completely. After a long day of cycling, the hot tub was a real treat. The only thing to note is that the cottage is directly under Stansteds flight path, so aircraft noise is pretty noticeable. It only took us a few hours to get used to it, though and it didnt spoil our trip at all. Definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway!"

"Really enjoyed the stay, definitely coming back sometime soon!"
George - Jul 2024
"We had a fantastic stay! The lodge was well-equipped with everything we needed, especially the comfy bed and two bathrooms. The smart TV, Nespresso and BOSE speaker really made it special. Loved it!"

"Really enjoyed our stay, the cabin had everything we needed."
Sarah - Apr 2024
"We had a lovely stay at the lodge. The beds were super comfy and it was really warm and cosy, just what we needed. The hot tub was brilliant, though a little skimmer net wouldve been handy to clear the leaves that fell in. Only issue was the remote, but they swapped it straight away. Overall, great experience!"
Jamie - Mar 2024
"The Carlton Signature is a lovely place with lots of space and modern amenities. It doesnt quite feel like a lodge inside, but its really comfortable. Wed definitely stay again!"

"Really enjoyed staying here, felt just like home!"

"We had a really lovely time at The Lodge. Its spotlessly clean and has everything you could possibly need for cooking and relaxing. The bed was incredibly comfy, which is always a bonus and we appreciated the ample storage space - honestly, weve stayed somewhere similar before, but this lodge had loads! The hot tub was checked daily, so no worries there, though we did notice that when folks walked past the end of the decking, they could see us. A privacy fence, similar to the one around the tub, might be a good idea at that end. We didnt get around to using the twin room, so can't comment on that. A few minor things-there was no stool in the main bedroom for the dressing table, but there was one in the twin room. Also, the bedside lamps in the main bedroom and lounge were quite dusty and a couple of smaller lamps would make the lighting a bit softer, as the main lights are quite bright. The park itself is peaceful and perfect for exploring Keswick, Penrith and Ullswater. We also visited Lowther Castle after reading about it on Flusco Woods website and it was well worth it. Overall, a fantastic stay and wed definitely book again. The staff were lovely-nothing was too much trouble, always greeting us with a smile!"

"Overall, we enjoyed our stay, though it wouldve been great if there was some outdoor furniture to chill out on. The lodge was fresh and new, just a few little finishing touches needed, but nothing really spoiled our experience. Wed come back!"
Jake - Jul 2023
"The lodge was really comfy and roomy, just like I remembered from another site. Good stuff!"

"We stayed at the Dacre lodge with four of us and our dog. The hot tub was a lovely touch and the peaceful, private setting was just what we needed. Perfect for some quiet relaxation and grass for fetch!"
Olivia - Aug 2020
"We had a really relaxing stay here and would definitely recommend it. Its a perfect spot to explore nearby villages and towns. The staff were lovely, making us feel welcome from the start and by the end, we felt like friends. The hot tubs are fantastic, though the wifi and signal arent always great. My 18-year-old found it a bit annoying, but it didnt put us off coming back at all."
Oliver - Jul 2020
"The lodge was super modern and spotless, which we loved. Sure, there was a stain on the main bedroom carpet, but honestly, with so many appliances, it didnt bother us much at all!"

"4 night stay Mon to Friday - family of 3.
We had booked a Gobarrow lodge but were offered an upgrade to an Askham Wood lodge before we arrived.
Staff very helpful and informative and check in was very quick and easy.
The Park location is good only 6 miles from J40 M6 and is very well maintained and secure.
Our lodge was very clean, fresh and modern and had everything we needed (and more) for our stay.
The decked areas and hot tub were perfect for relaxing after long days out.
We booked a Sainsburys grocery delivery to the site for 6.30pm( no issues) the nearest local convenience store is based at the Esso petrol station at the Rheged centre about 3.5 miles away - great for odd things you may have forgot to bring with you!!
Places to go:
Pooley Bridge/Ullswater only 5 miles away. Take the boat trip to Glenridding (not cheap) well worth it for the fantastic views.
Can also try paddle boarding there with Alfresco adventure - hire board and wet suit.
Dalemain House is about 5 miles away and is worth a visit, the gardens are lovely, nice tea room and really good tour guides.
Rheged centre is really good, nice cafe with a good choice of food and drink. We also went to the cinema there - 2 screens and latest movies very good value for money
Keswick - lovely town, lots of shops and places to eat and you can walk around Derwent water which is really nice.
Flusco Wood gets a 10/10 from us."

"We stayed In Cabin Penrith. The Cabin was spotless so was the hot tub. We had an amazing time and will definitely be returning! The dog also thoroughly enjoyed himself! Thank you ?"

"Initially booked the wrong accommodation wasn’t until the week before we noticed. I contacted them and they was able to change my accommodation thankfully. I would like to thank all the staff at flusco and a special thank you to Chloe. You went above and beyond."
Paul - Jul 2022
"Lovely holiday home. Very clean and comfortable. I would only say the location of the hot tub is a bit disjointed. More than enough room on the decking which would allow those using the tub to interact with those not using it."
Grant - Jul 2022
"Great place to stay for a quiet getaway. Hot tubs and accommodation clean . Had a lovely time away ?"
